appearance :: She is one of the shortest of the bunch. According to Korea's standards, she is a bit off to the heavy side for her height,

but she is actually quite fit. Her hair falls down to the small of her back, right above her hips. She either braids her hair, or ties it up into

a ponytail, because of its convenience. Along her left forearm, she has a noticeable scar* from a dog when she was a child. She also has her 

ears pierced twice. 

*I know it's a dude's arm but it's the best I can find haha~

style :: Baoling favors simplicity and modesty. Oversized sweaters are the typical clothing that she would wear day to day.

 She prefers cardigans paired up with a plain shirt and skinny jeans, rather than shorts.

 On a cold day, trench coats and scarves are the first choices. When traveling, she believes that 

 backpacks and messenger bags are the most convenient to bring along. Even though she is short in height, 

 Baoling favors sneakers due to its ability to be versatile. She is er for cute earrings. Whenever you see her, she is

 always wearing a jade fish-hook necklace.

personality :: Quick-witted and clever, Baoling has a knack for voicing out her opinions and standing her ground. Even so, her indecisiveness would cause her to have 

internal disputes with herself; yet sometimes those disputes would lead her to a different perspective. Her opinions will frequently be unchanged by her surroundings due

to stubborness and pride. Baoling often has a tendancy of being quite inquisitive; she enjoys pulling things apart and investigating how it works. Unlike her simple appearance, 

she has a complex mind that seems to never stop running. Analyzing the objects and people around her has became an instinct and it is also the key factor to her intelligence.

Her thought process causes her to overthink many things and it leads to many misunderstandings. To add onto her high strung habits, Baoling is a perfectionist and does not do 

             well under pressure. Often, she would get caught staring off into space, caught into her little own world full of thoughts.

         Sometimes her blunt personality would cause many people to judge her as someone who is unwelcoming and base. In reality, Baoling is someone who has a strong sense 

of morals and would rarely go against the rules. At first impressions, she is deemed as a quiet, closed person; but is veritably talkative and analytical. She is quite knowledagable

about the smallest things. She often bluffs and exaggerates in front of people, so she can be seen as someone who is strong and reliable. Since she is the second oldest, she takes  

care of her dongsaengs well, but frequently worries over spilled milk. When leaving the house, her constant worrying causes her to overpack, but to her defense, the

unnecessary items in her bag are there because "just in case".  

         Both stubborn and sharp-tongued, the Spec Girl and Baoling could never resist a good dispute with one another. Baoling usually maintains a calm stature, but her pride 

overrules it once the Spec Girl is in sight. Even with a prideful air, Baoling she is quite insecure of her outer appearances; therfore she believes her intelligence gets her through 

everything. Baoling thinks that her unsettled relationship with Spec Girl is due to Spec Girl's egoistic personality, but in point of fact, Baoling harbours jealousy towards 

Spec Girl's natural beauty. 

 

history :: At the age of 9, her family moved to the States. Her childhood years were spent in Guangzhou, China, while her adolescence were spent in the city of San Fransisco.

Her family only consists of two members: her father, and herself. When she was eight years old, her mother suffered from a and passed away in a week's time. 

During that time, her father's business was depleting and caused a huge dent in their incomes. They could not afford the proper treatment for her mother, causing her mother

to fall into a deeper state or sickness. The medical team cared less for the poor family's misfortunes and merely brushed off the matter. Because of the hospital's neglectance,

it costed her mother's life and now drives her inspiration of becoming a doctor. The jade necklace that she frequently carries around was her mother's necklace. 

When she turned nine, her father found a job opportunity in the States and instantly took up the offer. Their lives became stable after that and Baoling focused on her studies

and exceled. Her father is a quite strict on her, especially since she is the only child. She attends the University of California, San Francisco and is currently studying abroad in 

Korea along with her friend (and roomate), Amber.

 » Singing. Often, she would be humming to herself or tapping her fingers to an imaginary beat.

 » Walks. It gives her more time to think, and she enjoys her walks even more when accompanied by someone she loves.

                    »  When she is extremely scared, she would clench something so tightly that her palms and knuckles become white.

                    » Watching the dancers. It amazes her how they can move their bodies so flawlessly and beautifully.

                    » Folding paper planes. Using her ability to calculate, she could already predict how high the plane could go and how far.

how you find out about the carnival :: There was a flyer that was coincidentally taped on her textbook that she had forgotten in class.

how did you react when you got stuck in the carnival :: She was extremely frightened and worried of what was going to happen next. 

did the circus crew scare you at first :: When they first showed up, she was scared, but a bit relieved to see that there were other people in the carnival.

were you willing to go to the carnival in the first place :: The whole purpose of going to the carnival was to erase her fears of puppets and animals.

She felt that it was a weakness that she had to remove and was worried if her friends would find our about her fear. She originally wanted to go quickly by herself

to watch the Puppeteer and the animals, but to her disappointment, she ended up becoming trapped inside the carnival. Soon, her fear of animals fade when

she is assigned the role of being the lion tamer.

the hall's ominous pathway.

how you met ::

Caught up into the excitement of a carnival, Baoling enters the hall of mirrors as the clock stikes 12. The colorful lights of the carnival shuts off, causing 

her to panic. She attempts to escape, but instead crashes into the reflecting mirrors. Meanwhile, Lay was practicing his dance routine at the entrance of

the attraction (there is a huge mirror there) and hears the commotion inside. He quickly goes to investigates and finds Baoling. He leads her out of the 

hall and she further panics. After their first encountering, Baoling avoids Lay as much as possible. She feels quite embarassed of what happened and denies 

everything related to it.  

relationship :: 

Lay enjoys teasing Baoling, while she on the hand, tends to nag at his childish behaviors. Because of Baoling's stickler attitude and Lay's care-free lifestyle,

the two are constantly bickering. What keeps their relationship together is their passion for what they do and both yields similar hobbies. Lay 

was the one to first develop obvious feelings for her (who noticed, but began doubting). The two bond over time and Baoling, too, started feeling infatuated

by his charasmatic air. 

When they are in a more romantic relationship, they would seclude themselves from others and take long walks, causing many suspicions from the crew

(especially with Lay's naughty personality). She watches Lay dance (whom enjoyed the attention for his talents), and in return, he watches her tame the lion.

if yes :: After he saves her from the dark, she quickly thanks him and brushes off what happened. She denies everything he says that relates to their 

first encountering. Her sense of pride reeled him in and his curiousity took the best of him.
