I Need a Time Machine

Family Background:
Haneul was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea. She lived with her mother, father, and two older brothers, Heechul and Jongdae. Because of the fact that her family had undergone some financial hardships, Hanuel and Jongdae spent most of their earliest years with their older brother, Heechul taking care of them. Even though he was only nine years old when Hanuel was born, he was the one who took care of his younger siblings. The three spent all of their time together as children when they were not in school, making them an inseparable trio. Whenever one sibling went out the other two were sure to follow. When Heechul joined the army last year, Haneul and Jongdae were devastated. Still, Heechul makes sure to call them every night to tell them good-night and to make sure they know that he is okay.
Ever since Haneul was born she was joined to the hip with her older brother Jongdae and her best friend Kai, who she met in kindergarten. Even as a young child it was very evident that Haneul had a very boyish personality. This was further developed as Hanuel mostly stuck around Jongdae and Kai, who gravitated to their fellow boys and Haneul would tag along. Luckily for Hanuel her parents didn’t mind her boyish behavior or try to change her (i.e. trying to make her more feminine and girly) and they accepted her exactly as she was.  Her love for sports started when she was young. As stated before, during her early years her family had some financial problems which meant that the Kim siblings didn’t always get what they wanted (i.e. toys, games and etc.). Haneul, Jongdae and Kai always hung out at a park near by the Kim’s family household; since she didn’t have any female friends at the time she would often play sport with the boys.

Haneul grew up to be a complete daddy's girl and is very close to her father. They understood each other and loved each other very much. If it wasn't for her mother, Haneul would have no female guidance in life because of her lack in female friend (more like the fact that she has absolutely none). Her mother is more of a sister, but she does know when to put her foot down and to back to being a mother. AeSook has no problem with the fact that her daughter is a little on the tomboy side. I mean she does know that all she has 2 big brothers and no female friends what so ever so.
★Kim HeeChul | 26 | Eldest Brother | Currently in the Military | Idol- Super Junior | Heechul is very protective of his younger siblings, he practically raised them s their parents were often out working, making him not only a brother but also a father figure to his younger siblings. Haneul absolutely adores Heechul and doesn't bother to hide it, clinging on to him whenever she can. Heechul, of course, lets Haneul be as he loves her just as much. Even though Heechul is now in the army he and his younger siblings are still close. He makes it his top priority to call both of them and say good night to them and that he will be back soon. 
★Kim JongDae "Chen" | 18 | Big Brother | High School Student | Idol- Exo K | These two siblings share a much deeper relationship than they'd lead you to believe. In public they are always arguing and threatening each other saying things like "I hate you so much" or "Don't touch me, otherwise ill break all ten of your fingers". But their family and friends know otherwise. Haneul and Chen are very, very close. Chen would mindlessly fight for his baby sister and will jump to conclusions easily; he will literally spill blood if anything happens to his sister that he doesn't like.

Haneul enjoys listening to Baekhyun talk (and sing), causing her to be a little less talkative with him than with others. They're jokingly protective of each other, acting as if they are a jealous girlfriend/ boyfriend if they are together and their attention is on someone else.

There's usually a slightly more calm atmosphere surrounding these two when together as opposed to how Haneul is like with the other boys. However, that certainly doesn't mean they don't get along. They often whisper secretively to each other about inside jokes or tease each other playfully.
★Oh SeHun | 17 | High School Student | Idol- Exo K |Close Friends | Haneul and Sehun have a love-hate relationship; those two are constantly arguing. Most of the time they argue just for the sake of arguing since it’s hard for Sehun to find someone worthwhile to argue with and so it really is just enjoyable to argue.  They seem more like rivals than friends, but really the two physically beat each other constantly. He isn't afraid to hit a girl…well actually, he knows better than that he just considers Haneul a man. People often misinterpret them as an angry couple or enemies, one or the other, but never friends yet alone close friends

★ Kwon Yuri | 17 | Arch Rivals | High School Student | Idol- Girl's Generation| A rivalry between Haneul and Yuri is one that shouldn't come as much of a surprise, both being incredible athletes, but things quickly escalated when they got to high school. Yuri started to become jealous of Hanuel and the attention she received from the male population. She didn't like the fact that she had so many male friends and secret admirers . She couldn't help but think "that should be me". Yuri tries her hardest to beat Haneul in everything she does. She even goes as far as trying to steal Kai away. She knows for a fact that Haneul and Kai are best friends and that they’re just starting to develop feelings for each other so she steps in. Yuri always puts Haneul down for not being smart and does her best to get Haneul kicked off her sports teams. They often get into fights and it’s always Kai in the end that has to throw Haneul onto his shoulder and pull her away before she really hurts Yuri.

Haneul may not look like it but this girl is a total jock. She lives, eats and breathes athletics; she loves everything and anything that deals with sports. This girl has spent her entire life being an athlete. She's on every sport's team possible and is involved in every sport’s event. Out of all of her siblings and friends, Haneul is by far the most athletic. Now don't get it twisted, just because Haneul has dedicated practically her whole life to athletics doesn't mean that she's a complete tomboy. She may be one of the boys, but she is neither and tomboy nor girly-girl. She loves fashion and shopping is one of her favorite things to do. Cute things catch her attention while sparkly things don’t really tickle her fancy. She’s loves food and eats what she wants, when she wants, but she does –like many teenage girls- count her calories.

Haneul is well-known in her school for not only being the most athletic girl and being the only girl in her circle of friends, but also for her bluntness. The problem that Haneul seems to constantly get herself into is that she doesn't know what not to say or when to stop. This girl says exactly what's on her mind without thinking twice. People often misinterpret her bluntness for rudeness and they tend to call her rude or insensitive. Honestly it’s not like Haneul means to hurt people's feelings it’s just that she doesn't realize what she's said until everything is already said and done. Whenever someone calls her rude or insensitive she just brushes it off since she knows very well that she isn't trying to be rude or insensitive, but then people think that the fact that she doesn't care that they are calling her those things makes her selfish, which in fact she is not. Haneul is anything but selfish and is always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need of her help. She can never abandon someone who really needs her help no matter what her thoughts are about that person.  Even though she may not act like it at times, Haneul is a pretty optimistic person. She is always looking on the bright side of every situation. Even if the situation doesn't seem to have a bright side, Haneul will find one.

Haneul is a fighter and refuses to back down from a challenge; no matter how big or small. If she wants something you better believe she's going to get it and will do whatever it takes to get it. See the problem with that Haneul tends to encounter is that she doesn’t seem to understand what the meaning of the word 'no' is. When someone tells Haneul 'no' she takes this as a challenge, as if your saying 'no' because you think that she won't be able to handle the consequences. Don't get it twisted, Haneul does know the difference between what's right and what’s wrong; if she thinks what she is doing is right and just then she's going to continue to do it whether you approve of it or not

Haneul is the life of the party no matter where she is or who she's with. With this fun-loving, energetic teenager around there is never a dull moment, well not one that anyone can remember. Haneul is a big erted goof ball. She loves to make these corny, lame erted jokes because that's just the way she is. If you’re even in the same room with her it’s a guarantee that you'll either laugh or smile, but you'll most likely laugh. Haneul isn't much of an aegyo user but when she does uses it no one in their right mind can say no to her.

Whenever Haneul is around her friends she cracks a lot of jokes that are easy to get, and they're actually really funny. However, she also makes those occasional lame jokes as well. For example, when she thinks she's had enough of joking she would pull out one of her stupid puns. And yes, they're almost as lame as ahjumma jokes. They may not the funniest thing she has said, but her friends often give her the weird look like, "What the heck is wrong with you?” and then they laugh a lot afterwards. Not because of the joke, but because of how lame it was. And you know how usually it's the people who watch someone slip on a banana peel the people who watched the whole thing happen laugh, not the person who slips on the banana? Yeah, if it was Haneul... she'd totally laugh at herself. But sometimes she uses her lameness to make her friends smile, especially when they're in the dumps and just can't seem to know what to do next.

Haneul doesn't make friends easily; it takes a lot to gain her trust. When you get to know her properly she will rarely call you by your name. She has little nicknames for her friends and calls them that weather they like it or not. Haneul is very protective of her family and friends; if you mess with them you’re messing with her and that's something you don't want to do. She'll make sure to get you back in the most diabolical way possible. She would never abandon someone who really needs her, no matter what her thoughts are of that person might be.

Love Interest: Kim JongIn "Kai"

Personality: Kai is quite the character. He is confident to the pinot where many would find him to be arrogant or cocky. He isn't afraid to tell the truth and is quite frankly a bit too blunt for most people's likings. His brutal honesty is a turnoff for many, but is something Haneul can always rely on. He's not afraid to say anything, even if he comes off like a because of it. He often unintentionally hurts people's feelings but despite having hurt all these people's feelings and putting them under emotional stress, he's oddly likeable. Kai is someone who is really outgoing; he isn’t afraid to do something crazy for a good laugh and isn’t someone who really cares about what others think. Kai acts more goofy and silly rather than he does serious and mature. He can be, could be, would be if he wanted to be mature and sophisticated...but he doesn't. He can be pretty annoying with his non-stop talking, clinginess, and whining. However, Kai is very hard working even though it doesn't seem like it. He seems to be in perpetually good mood, always laughing and making lame jokes. You know something is wrong when he seems really solemn. Now Kai may seem really confident -which he is- but he is easily embarrassed. When he becomes flustered, his ears turn red and his cheeks turn a hint of pink. How do you make the Kim JongIn blush? Well all you have to do is a little teasing and Badda Bing Badda Boom you’ve got yourself a flustered Kai. He isn’t a fan of being teased, and when you it doesn’t piss him off as much as it embarrasses him. Haneul does it all the time for a good laugh, but that doesn’t mean that Kai can’t equally back. Beneath his childish exterior Kai is very warm and caring, always there to lend a helping hand or a shoulder to cry on.

How did/will you meet?: Kai and Haneul have known each other since they were children; they went through pretty much every year of school together. They meet in Kindergarten during the first day of school during coloring time. They got into a little fracas because they both wanted to use the yellow crayon. The scuffle ended with Kai breaking the crayon in half and giving Haneul the half with the point. Ever since that day the two have been joined to the hip and became besties for life. 

Relationship: They are best friends for life who are both secretly crushing on each other, though they are both in denial about their feelings towards each other.

How do you interact?: Having known each other practically their whole lives Haneul is one of the few people who regularly call Kai "JongIn" instead of Kai. They even came up with a 'couple name' for themselves: JongNeul. Kai and Haneul are incredibly close to each other, both being the first to go to the other for any reason at all be it for advice, to rant to, or go out and party. The two are free to be exactly who they are with each other, always saying what's on their minds and never holding back. Kai and Haneul never fight or argue, even if they seem to say some pretty mean things to each other. They always seem to know what the other is thinking, being able to communicate without words and acting upon it. They are very touchy feely with each other, joking around about how their each other's significant other even if they aren't dating. Kai and Haneul have a lot of fun together whether they are in the middle of class, in the cafeteria or having some coffee and tea in a quiet little cafe. These two know everything about each other from their past, their fears, their habits, and everything in between. They text each other constantly when they aren't with each other -even in the middle of class- and can't go without more than two days without talking to each other. They are pretty much always seen laughing together, causing major confusion to those around them wondering what they are laughing at only making them laugh harder.
