Just something I posted on tumblr as an answer to a question and proof that I can write an essay on DaeJae xD

BangJae

I actually really really like BangJae xD idk why I see this ship as a very sweet and caring ship xD like Youngjae’ll cook food for him if he’s feeling sick or Yongguk would help Youngjae with some problems he has that he doesn’t want to tell anyone else about xD It’s not or fiery although Yongguk calling Youngjae a baby tiger because apparently ”in between the softness there’s a wild side” is starting to change my perception on this LOL

Youngjae seems intimidated by Yongguk sometimes, though, but although Yongguk doesn’t outwardly praise Youngjae often, it seems like he really admires how hard Youngjae works and admires him in general. He admires Youngjae’s intelligence, and they have a very comfortable relationship.

it’s like a mutual admiration ^^ a very hyung and dongsaeng like relationship :)

HimJae

I also ship HimJae a lot xD (I ship all of the Youngjae couples really LOL) They had a bit of interaction in the beginning of Ta-Dah, and although there are probably more HimJae fanfics than Youngup or Bangjae, to me they seem the most distant to be honest :o Like out of all the members, Youngjae is the member Himchan initiates the least amount of skinship with. And when he does have skinship, it’s very innocent in comparison with the others. It makes me think Himchan and Youngjae have a more serious relationship (not like they’re actually dating but they talk about more serious matters and it isn’t as joking as with the others), but since Himchan isn’t as close to Youngjae as he is to Yongguk (who I think Himchan has the most serious relationship with), he’s more distant.

Himchan is probably someone Youngjae goes to when he has very emotional problems, problems he feels the others would be too blunt about or wouldn’t understand. They both have a very motherly like mindset, so Himchan would be gentle when helping Youngjae if he’s in an emotionally unstable state. Himchan coddles the maknaes because he feels like he needs to take care of them, but knows Youngjae is very capable of himself so leaves him alone often because he trusts he can handle himself. 

The also have a very calm relationship in my eyes xD 

YoungUp

Youngup is probably my second favorite Youngjae ship. They have a very close-friends like relationship and I find their interactions extremely adorable. They’re more like a very blatant yet sometimes unnoticeable couple xD Youngjae very openly flirts with Jongup often, but then all his flirting with Daehyun always overshadows it xD Jongup seems to have a sort of hidden admiration towards Youngjae.

They also knew each other longer than Daehyun knew Youngjae. In a few predebut videos of Youngjae singing, you can see Jongup in the background somewhere xD I have a feeling that they were really close before they met the other B.A.P members, and still are very close, but now Youngjae’s closer to Daehyun and Jongup’s closer to Zelo. Jongup seems shy when Youngjae openly praises his body, but he’s shy with everyone about that xD Youngjae probably does praise and encourage Jongup a  lot when they’re training, and probably sees Jongup as a little brother almost. He’s not afraid to praise Jongup’s body because he feels very comfortable around him and probably sees him as a friend since he has no problem doing skinship. I’m not sure how Jongup feels about Youngjae, though. If he did any feelings for Youngjae more than friendship they’re probably gone by now, since he seems so enamored with Zelo, but I feel like Youngjae and Jongup are still very close friends that sometimes share inside jokes that no one else besides them would understand :)

YoungLo

To me, YoungLo is really similar to BangJae, except the roles are reversed xD Although they say they’re awkward around each other, Zelo seems very fond of Youngjae and vice versa ^^ It’s almost like since Youngjae’s the hyung, he feels like he should take care of and protect Zelo, but often times, Zelo’s the one that’s protecting Youngjae xD (like that time with the soccer ball almost hitting Youngjae in killing camp but then Zelo suddenly spun him around and protected him from it) 

Zelo’s frame is bigger than Youngjae’s so it’s really easy for him to wrap his arms around Youngjae, but at the same time sometimes he seems more innocent than Youngjae xD or so he wants us to believe

Sometimes I feel like Zelo has a small crush on Youngjae xD maybe not in the dating sense, but like he admires Youngjae very much ^^

DaeJae

here we go LOL.

What I’m about to write probably won’t encompass everything I feel about the DaeJae couple since it’s 6 am here and my writing’s starting to become incoherent xD I’ll probably make a bigger DaeJae rant later on LOL

DaeJae is my favorite couple out of all the B.A.P OTPs because of just how they interact with each other. Even though I squeal and fangirl about things they do onstage, the things that really make me love this couple are the little things off stage or the things they do when the camera isn’t focused on them. Like the little smiles they send each other, or how sometimes they hold onto each other’s hand longer than neccessary, or how sometimes they actually do look upset when someone gives another member more attention. They have such a perfect best friend/ soulmates (soulmate doesn’t really have to be in a romantic sense. a soulmate is just someone you can’t imagine living without, they could grow old, get married to different people, but in the end they’re always going to remain friends no matter what because after all of this it’ll be too painful already to let each other go) relationship that I find very precious and sometimes envy xD

At first when I started liking this ship, it seemed like Youngjae was the one always showering Daehyun with affection or giving Daehyun attention, but then after looking closely, it’s not that Youngjae gives more than Daehyun, it’s just that Daehyun doesn’t show it as obviously. Youngjae would tease Daehyun, or look around for Daehyun just to mess with him, but for most of those moments he does that it’s probably mostly for the camera. But what really makes me love those moments (other than the fact Youngjae could pick anyone else to mess with but always picks Daehyun), is that Daehyun, even if he knows he’s going to look silly, plays along. He teases back, he does something funny just to please Youngjae. Since he and Youngjae are very close in age, sometimes it seems like he doesn’t really coddle and treat Youngjae like a dongsaeng like he does to Jongup and Zelo or that he isn’t as sweet and gentle to Youngjae, but he does by playing along with Youngjae. He wants Youngjae to smile, to laugh, to be happy that Daehyun likes being silly with him. 

Another thing I noticed is how if you watch Daehyun’s facial expressions, it’s almost like he has a tenderness in it when it comes to Youngjae smiling or laughing (maybe I’m just being delusional xD). Like sometimes when he smiles, his eyes don’t match; it’s like the smile is being forced. But when he laughs, his eyes crinkle and his mouth is like “:D”. When it comes to watching Youngjae laugh though, his mouth and his eyes don’t match again, except instead that his eyes aren’t smiling, it’s like his eyes are crinkling more than when he laughs but his lips aren’t as open or as wide. It’s not like he’s laughing at Youngjae or with him, but he’s just smiling at him and just looks so happy seeing Youngjae so hyper or so giggly (like that shot in Gurugurupop when Youngjae was giggling over a question and the camera went to Daehyun and he just had the most beautiful smile ever). I don’t really see that smile anywhere else other than when he’s looking at Youngjae playing around with the others or just being happy. Idk it really warms my heart because I find it so sweet how close friends they are that they’ll be genuinely happy if the other is happy.

There also seems to be a very great mutual admiration. Although most people probably thought Youngjae would be upset that Daehyun suddenly came into the group and now has a majority of the lines, Youngjae said before he was happy Daehyun joined because he’s not comfortable with high notes. Although he probably is envious sometimes of how much attention Daehyun gets, he probably fanboys over Daehyun himself. Daehyun also seems to admire Youngjae’s voice greatly (judging from how he answered he’d form a sub unit with Youngjae if given the chance), and probably feels guilty sometimes that he does get a majority of the lines when Youngjae is also an amazing singer. I also found it really sweet that Daehyun was helping Youngjae with his high note for “Crash” :) 

Another thing I love is just how absolutely comfortable around each other. I’ve known my best friend for 11 years now and only recently became comfortable enough to do half the things they do, and they’ve only known each other for a little over 16 months. They aren’t afraid to hug each other or hit each other, and they don’t seem to be shy doing skinship. one thing I did notice though, was that although Youngjae initiates most of the skinship, when he faces Daehyun or his eyes meet Daehyun’s, he does become shy and try to back away. That stuck me as a bit odd, since i’d think since they’re so close, they’d have no problem looking at each other in the eye. Although this is probably an off guess, this makes me think Youngjae has a little more than platonic feelings towards Daehyun. Maybe just a small crush, but something more than just friends. Although I’m not sure if Daehyun feels this way as well, if he doesn’t, he probably doesn’t know Youngjae feels this way or is ignoring it. (although judging by the daejae “facts”, Daehyun seems to be the more overly attached one xD not sure how legit they are, but if they are, Daehyun does definitely have more than platonic feelings since he feels so possessive over the other.)

The last thing I’m going to rant about is just how strong they feel (whatever it may be, whether romantic or platonic) about each other. Just how their moods can change so easily when they’re around each other still shocks me sometimes. Daehyun does seem much more energetic and hyper when Youngjae is around and vice versa. But like when they were in Malaysia, I have a feeling they got into an argument, because while looking at fanphotos of them at he water park, they looked a bit less bright. Daehyun looked just plain pissed an a lot of the photos. I’m sure they have arguments with other members, but it seems like when they fight with each other, it affects them the most. They also seem very caring over the other in making sure they aren’t forgotten. Like when Youngjae reminded the radio host Daehyun’s name, or how whenever they introduce themselves, they introduce themselves as both the main singer or the lead singer. Even though I have no idea if this is true, I have a feeling when all those people starting bashing on Youngjae about his weight, Daehyun was probably more upset about it than Youngjae. Youngjae seems very confident in himself and is very comfortable about who he is, but judging by how protective Daehyun is of Youngjae, I can’t even begin to imagine how upset he must have been when he saw those insults. Youngjae was probably more upset also when he saw Daehyun getting hate.

That’s all I can think of for now about this couple xD But overall, they seem to have the most perfect relationship. Just the mix of best friends and hyung/dongsaeng relationship is so balanced and perfect. Like I said before, they’re like soulmates, and hopefully nothing willl ever rip them apart from each other :)

Please keep in mind that this is all opinion. I’m not sure about anything, all these assumptions are based on interactions I’ve seen or I’ve heard about from fan accounts. This is just my interpretation on the different Youngjae ships.
