Thou shalt come to me when I dream and let me love thee

Every night that you come, you take a different form.

My current crush.

A classmate.

The guy who keep stealing my unicorn pillow.

A friend from childhood that I haven't seen in years.

A friend I just made.

A guy I feel like I once knew.

A guy I never thought would exist.

A blank face.

A football player, out of all people.

Yet the feeling is the same, when you hold me close, whisper how much I mean to you. Your arms, your chest feels so solid. And as I lean into your warm embrace, I feel like I never can fall.

You tease me, and I press my blushing face into the crook of your neck where it meets your jaw, and warming my nose as you laugh. Your lips make me melt as they meet mine. As your face gets distorted, the pressure is new, strange, but welcoming.

Sometimes I fall out, thrown into a new dimension and a new universe and I quickly forget you. Sometimes we still exist, like last night. You made my world spin, but somehow my head was still clear, so that I made us back up until I dragged you into the pool behind me, just so I could know what it tasted like, kissing you in soaked clothing as water runs down your face.

Sometimes everything ends as I wake up to reality. And over time, the stresses of daily life make me forget the paradise you have created.

Until I read...

"I pressed my hot face to his jaw and felt him smile."

And I suddenly felt you by my side again. Felt you smile as I closed my eyes and felt your embrace, holding me tightly.

Now I sit here, feeling hollow over again, waiting your ghost to come and possess me again.
