Background: Kim Jaerin was born in Bradford, West Yorkshire, England. Her mother was English while her father was a full Korean. Her father (Kim Jaeho) worked as a doctor while her mother (Louise Brannan) was just a normal housewife. She has an older whose name is Kim Jaehyun (English name, James) who was 2 years older than she was. She had no significant troubles in her family life and she was quite close with her family, but she's significantly close to her older brother and is often seeing sharing her inner troubles with her brother. And her brother, being a skilled b-boyer, often teaches Jaerin new tricks.

Although Jaerin had no problem with his family, she had tons of problem at school though and she was often bullied because she used to be nerdy. She was stereotyped as the typical nerdy Korean and none of them wanted to be her friend. Her only solace was dancing, in which she greatly excelled in. She was great at hiphop and she also came up with her own choreography for several RnB songs, and her brother also admitted that she might dance better than him!

Her father then came to terms that Jaerin wasn't having the best life in England, and so they moved to Korea when she was 10 years old. Jaerin, who initially didn't know anything about her motherland, Korea, had to learn about the culture and language. Up till this day, she still has slight troubles with her Korean but sometimes, it just passes by and you won't really be able to notice them.

Jaerin is also very good at rapping and she has also once joined an underground rapping contest against other females. However, her rapping skills would always be covered by her amazing dancing skills. Her parents enrolled her to a popjazz summer class when she was 11, and her dancing skills have increased ever since.

And also, ever since they transferred, she has been less of a wallflower and more herself around people.

Personality: With Jaerin, you had to keep guessing. She would never tell what she felt. Sometimes, it felt like she had a wall around her. Although she might be one of the sarcastic ones in the group, she never told anyone what she truly felt. She always had that mysterious aura around her, like when she was alone, when she was not laughing, you would always want peek into her own little world. She's extremely sarcastic when she's talking, and sometimes, you would think that her words would hurt people. She's usually seen laughing though, but then again, you'll never know if her laugh was real or not, fake or not, because that's just how mysterious she is.

If you had to choose an object that would describe Jaerin well, it would be a book. On the outside, she seemed like a confident, young lady. But on the inside, she's the most insecure person you will ever meet. She'll never admit that though, unless you're one of the very few people she could trust (like her brother). She gets easily frustrated especially at herself, and she gets jealous when people are better than her at anything (especially dancing). She keeps her feelings really well though and she's usually the best in finding out how people really feel, but when it comes to love, she knows nothing about it. So she's really clueless in that subject.

Although she might be like this, she's usually the one to throw around the jokes and the first one to make others have a good time. She's talkative when around people. She's also very caring and considerate, but in certain circumstances, in which people are crying, she doesn't know what to do so she stands around awkwardly and just goes to hug the person, in hope that the person will stop crying. Yes, she's a very awkward turtle, in these situations. She also has a hard time telling people the truth when the truth could hurt that person (and this is why, some guys tend to think she's leading them on).

She treats guys and girls the same really. When she first meets them, she'll talk to them and have fun. She doesn't treat people any differently and finds no need to. She's not really particularly close to any side of gender, when she finds someone trustworthy, then that person's lucky. She rarely entrusts people with her secrets.

She's also really tomboyish probably due to being close to her brother and having a boy best friend. She also has a low self-esteem and doesn't see herself as pretty.

Jaerin is a scaredy cat and can't sleep on her own. She has to have someone sleep beside her... or her favorite stuffed toy (big turtle stuffed toy) beside her.

She won't admit it but she easily cries. But she won't show it to your face though, she'd rather cry alone.

And also, she's not the skinship type, really. But you're damned lucky if she kisses you. Or even just hug you. Or hold your hand.

Oh and she also LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVES food. If she could talk to food, she would be the happiest person alive. She loves eating. And she's almost always hungry. If you had a nickel for every time she said she was hungry, you'd be filthy stinking rich right now. Seriously.

And, she likes hot things. Not necessarily people. But she likes staying warm and cozy. And maybe that'll be the only time she'll hug people, for body heat. Maybe.

And last but not the least, there are those rare times in which she shows affection, when she's feeling really grateful towards the person.
