explanation of what a tomboy is

Tomboy- an energetic, sometimes boisterous girl whose behavior and pursuits, especially in games and sports, are considered more typical of boys  than of girls.

Being a tomboy doesn't mean lesbian... not hating on the Lesbians, I really couldn't care less who you choose to love, it's just that people get this idea that because you're a tomboy it means you are a lesbian, which isn't true.

and before anyone says anything, I'm sure there are plenty of tomboys who are lesbians, but they aren't lesbians because they're tomboys, they're lesbians because they're attracted to girls.

I think people need to stop and get it through their thick skulls that someone's ual orientation is non of their business, we don't need to know if someone's gay- why should that information influence whether you like or dislike someone? -.-

there are so many people claiming they've turned lesbian because of Amber, yet is it really Amber you love or the style she dresses in, the way she acts and talks? are you really loving her or the fact that she acts like a boy? I'm sure there are girls out there that are inlove with her because of her, but there there are also the girls out there that are almost belittling what being gay is, they're prancing around claiming something they have no idea about. Being gay isn't like what you read in fanfics...

when it comes down to it, I don't care if Amber ends up being gay or not, she's a down to earth nice person who works hard yet all people can talk about is whether or not she's a lesbian or not- if she is, cool, is she isn't, still cool- I like Amber because I feel like I can relate to her (I mean, as best as someone who isn't a celeb can...) she's a young adult from the states who chooses to be a tomboy- that's something that isn't even represented over here in the states... or at least, it's not represented correctly...

I like Amber because she's someone who seems human, like if I ever met her I'd be able to look her in the eyes and talk to her with out feeling like I'm talking to a celebrity. She's someone who tries to reach out to her fans, tries to reach out to her fellow celebs... she someone who I kind of actually look up to (even when she's two years younger) the way she's able to open up to people is something I admire, it's something I wish I could do...

I don't think I could ever like someone for their ual orientation, that kind of thing isn't important to me- especially since I'll probably never meet them...
