It Began with a Few Seconds Touch

Jaeyoung's (Your) Point of View

I arrived at Block B's practice room late at night and saw that they were practicing. The members did not seem to be surprised to see me despite the time because they knew I usually visited them whenever I wanted to. They greeted me with a quick smile before focusing their attention back to dancing to Nallili Mambo.

As I waited for them to finish and give me their full attention, I decided to sit down on the wooden floor and watch them practice. I leaned on my arm and allowed my eyes to linger on him. Oh, he looks good today. It amy seem odd, but I like the way his disheveled hair and t-shirt is drenched with sweat from all of this tiring and exhausting practice. It makes him look extra cool.

Wait. Did he just glance my way?

I sighed. Even of he does look at me, it wouldn't matter anyway.

"Noona! It's been so long since you last came to visit! I was really, really worried for you." P.O cutely pouted.

"Jeongmal? I'm sorry for worrying my cute dongsaeng," I giggled at Block B's extremely adorable maknae. "Anyway, how's practice going?"

"Tiring as always, but still fun. That's the reason I became a singer," Taeil said with optimism. The members were all surrounding me by now. They all looked dead tired, but their smiles were able to fill the whole room. I couldn't help but grin with them because of all the perseverance and love they were giving into their dreams.

"So, why are you here today?" Jaehyo suddenly asked me rudely.

"Yah, don't worry, I didn't come here for you." I jokingly stuck my tongue out at him. "There's nothing wrong with me visiting my childhood friend, right?" I replied with my arms spread across my chest.

"Aww, who would think Jaeyoung-ah is so caring? Thanks so much for your concern," Zico said gratefully even if it half-sounded like a joke, which I know it wasn't. I smiled back at him thankfully.

Zico, or Jiho as I am used to calling him, has been my closest friend for years. We were practically destined to be best friends when our moms realized that our births were only one week apart.

You can say that I'm a bit - only a bit - overprotective of him, even if I'm the younger one. I can't help it; I care for him as if we were blood related. That is also the reason why I insist on visiting him even if he's a busy idol whenever I can.

"Are you really so busy that you can't reply to my texts anymore?" I asked them. Nowadays, everytime I send  a message to them, it takes hours until I receive a reply. Truthfully, I'm actually really busy with my studies, but I decided to visit them today because I was beginning to become very concerned.

"Dongsaeng, we're idols now. Of course we're busy," B-Bomb proudly told me.

"Minhyuk-ssi, before you get arrogant, I want to know how it's going with your girlfriend," I mischivously , instantly causing him to turn red all over.

"O-oh, we're s-still going strong," he stuttered bashfully.

"Really? Don't forget to give me a picture of the both of you during your next date," I playfully said, all s joining me in teasing him about his first real relationship.

U-Kwon's Point of View

It was already ten thirty in the evening and we were still practicing. Before the members and I began dancing Nillili Mambo for the hundredth time that day, I quickly glanced down at my shirt and noticed how wet it was from absorbing all of my sweat. Honestly, we all knew we smelled really bad, but our main thoughts were on not making a single mistake and pretending like we were doing a real perfomance.

I'll admit that our job is difficult, but that's what I love about it. I enjoy challenges and dancing has always been my dream. I'm just really grateful that I can pursue it now.

The music and I watched as Zico began his rap part in front of us. We all danced in the background until his part finished and tried our best even if exhaustation threatened to take over us.

A few more members performed their parts, and after I finished my first solo part, I swiftly moved back into position.

It was already late at night so we were all really surprised when during our practice, the door suddenly swung open and Jaeyoung came in..

I knew my cheeks were turning red and I felt sweat dripping down my face - not because of dancing - because of the sight of her face. She looked great in her simple t-shirt and jeans. It wasn't anything fancy, but hey, simple and humble girls are more of my type.

Jaeyoung took one look at us still practicing Nillili Mambo and decided to (cutely) sit down on the wooden and shiny floor. She then leaned on her arm and started studying our movements. I self-consciously turned my attention away from her and tried my best to focus on dancing again, much to my failure. I couldn't stop looking at her beautiful face and cute expressions and actions.

Before long, the song finished and Block B all gathered around her. I think the conversation revolved around the members or something, I wouldn't know because I was busily admiring Jaeyoung. Oh, I just realized that that came out a bit creepy. It's just that I really, really like Jaeyoung, ever since Jiho introduced me to her. It wasn't love at first sight, but it somehow turned out to be even stronger than that. When you're with the person you love, you won't notice anything else except for her.

Jaeyoung's (Your) Point of View:

"Is it really alright for you to be dating when you've just debuted?" I asked B-Bomb curiously.

"Cho PD said it's alright as long as we continue to work hard and not slack off. Oh, we shouldnt be caught either," Kyung replied for him. I nodded my head slowly as I processed what he said. "So does that mean there are other members that are dating but I don't know about it?" I asked them based on the information I processed in my head.

I really meant it as a joke, but some members began shifting from foot to foot uncomfortably.

"Yah! What does that mean? Who's dating?!" I asked them eagerly.

"What are you talking about? Hahahaha. Nobody's dating besides B-Bomb hyung," P.O nervously and stiffly said. The members nodded their heads in agreement, but I knew better than to believe them.

"Oh, wait! I know who it is!" I suddenly started jumping up and down in excitement. "It's Jaehyo oppa, isn't it?! Is he still playing around with girls?"

"Yah dongsaeng! I'm not like that anymore!" Jaehyo shouted, trying his best to defend himself. "I swear I'm single!"

"Unless you count our BBC's. We're in love with all our fans," U-kwon added cheesily but cutely.

"Fine, be like that guys," I said indignantly. I was disappointed to know that they did not trust me enough to tell me.

"Alright, we'll tell you," Taeil sighed in defeat after he saw my dismay. "But don't tell anyone."

"Defini-"

"YAH, YAH, YAH! DON'T TELL HER ANYTHING!" Zico started screaming. "It's a secret!"

"Wow! Jongmal?! I can't believe my childhood friend beat me to a relationship! You've grown up Jiho!" I hugged him tightly to express my happiness and approval.

"I didn't want to tell you yet...It was supposed to be a surprise," Zico sighed in disappointment.

"You did surprise me. That was the biggest shock I got in a long time." I laughed in delight. I looked around me and saw that everyone was also smiling and laughing. We really felt like one big family.

"Now that we're on this topic, I don't believe you're single Jaeyoung-ah," Kyung teased me.

"Yeah, you know, that's because there are too many boys to count," I slyly joked. In truth, I've never dated any guy in my entire twenty years of life. But that doesn't mean I have never hoped to be with that one person. Actually, I am waiting for someone, someone very special. He knows I exist. We talk a lot. We're really close. The thing is, I believe he's too far for me to reach.

"NOONA! NO! DON'T LEAVE ME YET!" P.O screamed in despaire. He clung to my clothes and refused to let go. s were trying their best to pull him away from me, but I was too busy giggling uncontrollably to help them.

"Aww! You're so cute Ji hoon! Don't worry, noona's going to come back soon," I assured him as I opened the door of the practice room and stepped outside.

"Noona, you better promise me that!" P.O shouted from inside the room (s trapped him so he was unabl to run out to me).

"PROMISE!" I shouted back.

Author's Point of View:

Jaeyoung was already nearing the exit of Block B's building when she heard somebody running very quickly. Jaeyoung quickly turned around and saw U-kwon panting heavily and gasping for air.

"Omo, what's wrong oppa?" she worriedly asked him as she ran to his side and tried checking to see if anything was wrong with him. "Why couldn't you just use the elevator like me?"

"I don't know, the stairs were closer than the elevator to our practice room. I'm alright, it's just so embarrassing for the lead dancer of an idol group to not have enough stamina," U-Kwon tried joking despite his exhaustion.

"It's not embarrassing. Besides, you just had intense practice," Jaeyoung said, trying to make him feel better.

The two of them just stood in the hallway of Brand New Stardom Entertainment's building, waiting for Yukwon to begin breathing normally again. Before he fully recovered from running down dozens of stairs though, he gently but quickly pulled Jaeyoung out of the building.

The cool night air greeted her, but all her thoughts were on Yukwon.

"Where is he taking me? What does he want? What the heck is happening?" Different thoughts rapidly filled Jaeyoung's mind, but the one that left the biggest impression on her was, "Wow, Yukwon is holding my hand like real couples do. It feels...great. I don't want this moment to ever end."

Honestly speaking, U-Kwon had absolutely no idea where he was taking her, much less what he was even doing with her. After Jaeyoung had left the practice room, something inside of him told him that he couldn't take it any longer. He needed to tell her his feelings and let go of his hidden love. Besides, Yukwon could only picture two results, either he gets rejected or they start going out. He thought that it was worth the risk if the latter was one of his choices.

Somehow, U-Kwon unconsciously managed to bring Jaeyoung to a nearby park. It was a simple and small park. There were only two swings, a seesaw, a slide, and grass. It was already past 10:30 in the evening so it was no surprise for them to see it completely empty with nobody to bother them

Before Jaeyoung could manage to say a single word to him, she felt the gentle touch of U-Kwon's lips on hers.

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 seconds

For Jaeyoung and U-Kwon, those were six seconds of pure bliss. But more than that, those six seconds were also the beginning of their everlasting love for each other.
