“There are no different shades of gray. Gray is a shade in itself.” She had strongly abided by her statement over a cup of coffee earlier.

“No, you’re wrong. You don’t see the same things as I do. You’re not colorblind.” He had insisted, pointing to his iris. “All I see is black and white. Everything else in between is gray. That’s how I classify colors.”

“I still don’t get your point.” She admitted, looking at his wrist as if she’s on a trance.

“I’m saying that your eyes are my favorite shade of gray.” It was straight to the point and she knows she shouldn’t have but at that time, she wasn’t able to stop the heat rushing to her cheeks. 

Her tongue had suddenly fallen clumsy and she had stuttered. “Is that how monochromatic people pick up girls?”

“Wow, you’re so assuming. I was just complimenting your eyes; not picking you up.” The heat on her face drops down to freezing point.
