So...there is a huge provincial exam tomorrow for the first and second grade middle school students.  So when I went to teach my first grade middle school class today I can't say that I was surprised that my co-teacher co-opted the class to give them a last minute cram session for the English portion of the test.

Instead of teaching the lesson I had planned (one phone conversations and texting in English...yes, I was going to teach them the meaning of lol and everything), I ended up being a breathing tape recorder and basically just walked around the room reading out English passages to students. 

Then I came across this passage:

"Minsu and Minho are twin brothers. They look the same, but they are very different. Minsu likes to play with balls. Minho doesn't like playing with them."

I am proud to say that I did not outright laugh.  I did however utterly fail to keep the grin off of my face.  Good thing my student was looking down at their paper and reading along and not up at me because they would have been confused by my facial expression.

A perfectly innocent paragraph...if you are not a native speak.  Oh slang and native connotations...
