She prefers quiet environments but thrives under pressure too! Has always been a scholar and views everything as an oppurtunity to expand and grow. She is a calculative person and tends to analyze every situation critically. She isn't ashamed to say what she feels or how she thinks a work should be done.

Those who are close to her, know about her freak-o-meter but they find her weird ways charming. At such a tender age, she has learnt the harsh ways of life and knows that only through hard work can things be accomplished. She doesn't give a damn about what others might think of her. If she thinks something is right, then she'll fight for it no matter what.

She has never had allusions about a 'Perfect Life' as she knows that life isn't a fairy tale. But because her father had a reputation amongst the bussiness class, they were able to stay on their feet. That's when ShinYa came to know about the importance of working hard and carving a niche for oneself in the world. She would like to follow her father's footsteps and leave an impact on others. Only, for her, it includes a career as a singer which thankfully, her parents support and encourage. Her parents also have back-up plans for her to complete and education in fashion designing if her dreams don't come true. As of now, they truly believe in her and are proud to have raised her well.

When the news reached Jessica's ears she flew a rage coz she can't bear to share her beauty. She began bashing ShinYa but never openly as ShinYa's dad was a VIP. Although, whenever they met in private, she was always a to her and faked a smile when in public. That's is how ShinYa came to hate False, show-off friends.

Sulli [f(x)]: In short, Sulli loathes ShinYa. She just can't stand her even thought there isn't a particular reason for it. ShinYa pissed her off ever since they met in school where they were forced to remain together. Not to mention, the feeling is mutual. ShinYa can't tolerate Sulli's diva tantrums and often snaps at her. ShinYa doesn't like to take orders and hence doesn't get bullied by Sulli which is something Sulli takes as an insult.

Lee HyeRi [Girls' Day]: HyeRi and ShinYa had once met when they were little kids. ShinYa and her dad had gone to Korea for some work and that's how she came to know HyeRi. They instantly gelled together and even after being seprated, they kept in touch and didn't let their busy schedules get in between their friendship. ShinYa loves HyeRi like a sister and they can be passes as un-biological twins.

Song JooEun: JooEun is a calm, quiet, level headed girl who plays the role of care-taker--friend in ShinYa's life. Her parents were killed in the riots and ShinYa's dad brought JooEun along with them to Korea so she could complete her education and not be deprived of love. JooEun was extremely thankful to ShinYa's family and hence willingly, helped with the household and was amazing at giving advice. She's older than ShinYa by 4 years but they still connect with each other and have fun!

Ahn Daniel [Teen Top]: Their meeting was somewhat unexpected. After moving to Korea, ShinYa happened to be taking a stroll in her garden when she noticed a crowd of screaming girls chasing a guy. She moved towards the commotion and saw the famous Niel of Teen Top, trying to escape his fans. She beckoned him into the house where they waited till the fans left. That was the start of a great friendship. And even though ShinYa herself is a fangirl, their relationship was completely platonic. They were 'Just Friends'.

Lee JungHwan [B1A4]: Sandeul and ShinYa had been close friends ever since, it won't be wrong to say, birth. Their fathers had lived together in Busan in their childhood and had always joked about how they would marry their kids off to each others'. ShinYa's family visited the Lee's every year and ShinYa knew their parents wanted her and Sandeul to get together. For her, there was no problem with this as she found Sandeul funny, witty and of course, exceptionally cute! Choi Minho [SHINee]: Minho was the Prince Charming about whom ShinYa had read in stories but never believed to be true. They had met in a bookstore where they both had been looking for a couple good poems and a peaceful corner where they could ponder on their thoughts. Instead, they found each other and were deeply engrossed in conversation almost instantly. They had lots in common and she liked having someone to talk to about the meaningful things of life. She was aware that every time he was near her, she felt a tingly sensation in her body but she was afraid to categorise it as love. After all, he was THE Choi Minho! She assumed that he would have WAY higher standards even though secretly, Minho loved her.

As ShinYa enjoys the most when she's with EunHyuk, she would confess to him but he doesn't want to be in a relationship coz it felt like a too-serious bond to him. Heartbroken, she would go to Minho for solace who would comfort her and make her feel good about herself again. Minho would urge her to search in the depths of her heart and find out who she truly loves--hoping it would be him. This activity though results in ShinYa realizing that all the memories of the times she had spent with Sandeul held a very treasured place in her heart and it was him who she truly loves.
