She was borned and raised in Busan. Since she was young, she never spent much time with her mother. She hardly sees her mother, only twice a weeek or even once only. She was told that her mum was busy with work. JaYeon spends her time with her father, resulting her tomboy-ish fashion sense. As a little kid, JaYeon loves pretty pink dresses. That was the only thing she like when her mum visits her, buying her a little pink dress.
As she was 10 years old, she was a bit too mature for her age. JaYeon was serious in everything that her friends always tell her that she has to relax or she'll have no childhood. Seeing her being a mature young "adult", her father thought it was the right time to tell her why her mum doesn't visits often.
Her parents divorced when she was two years old. The dresses her mum got was from her other child in another family.
Hearing that, and understanding every single word her dad said, she just nodded plainly. In her mind, she NEVER had a mum. The only thing that angered her was about the dresses. It was from someone else. Someone that destroyed her family. From then on, she NEVER touches any dresses.
When she was in 8th Grade, she was accepted into the Nataraja Academy where they train talents to gain stage experiences, for those that have huge dreams of being a Hallyu Star. JaYeon wanted to show everyone that even if she is serious in everything, she has a passion for performing, that makes her have fun on stage. When she was in 9th Grade, she got accepted into DAYS Entertainment as a trainee by auditioning herself all the way at Seoul.

JaYeon seem like a cold and heartless girl. She hardly smiles after hearing the truth about her mother. Being raised up only by her father, she is tough like a guy. She knows how to protect herself. Sometimes she ignores you when you're trying to be friendly with her, but actually, she just can't open up to anyone. She learnt from her father to only trust herself and her dad. JaYeon may seem like a boring girl but if she could open up, she would be like any crazy person that parties all night.
She hates skinship and if you ever try to hug her, get ready to be punched in the face. It is practically like she has a phobia of skinships. She doesn't even hug her dad. It is probably due to lack of family warmth. Because her father has to support not only himself, but also JaYeon, he had to work all day long. Everytime he's back from work, JaYeon was already sleeping. They hardly bond and JaYeon seldom look at him.
