♦Fashion/Style: Jaehwa likes a style that is comfortable yet stylish. For some reason, he has a better fashion sense than his step-sister and secretly takes advantage of it. He knows what looks good on him, and he knows how to wear it comfortably. He'd wear sweaters or jackets with hoods (not hoodies) whenever it's cold out with fitting jeans and a regular shirt. For formal events, he likes to wear a button-up with a vest if he can somehow avoid wearing the dress coat. For training, he'd wear simple sweats with a T-shirt or wifebeater and sometimes a hat.

♦Personality: Jaehwa is basically a shy and reserved person once somebody meets him. He doesn't like to draw attention to himself on purpose but always happens to because of his looks. He gives off a calm aura so people naturally feel secure and safe with him. When he warms up to people, he becomes more open and laughs a lot. He likes to joke around with his friends and hang out with them. He tends to get dorky with his friends and siblings, and he always brightens up the room because of that. He also can be unknowingly cute when he opens up. He's naturally calm and is often seen as somebody to look up to because of how calm he is. He's smart so he can think up of a solution to most things after thinking about the problem for a few minutes. He cares for his friends and siblings and always finds a way to make sure they are okay. Since he's always calm, he is somehow able to talk any arguments or problems out without much yelling, which he is glad for because he hates seeing people unhappy.
On stage, he becomes bolder when he's rapping or dancing. He's hardworking and confident in his skills and is not afraid to show it on stage. He definitely shows his passion for the stage and music through his moves and power. He becomes y on the stage (like his older brother) when he hears the music but goes back to being reserved once the music ends. People are amazed with his complete personality change since he likes to be in the background behind-the-scenes after. Off the stage, he goes back to being reserved but dorky at the same time, depending on the situation. With a girl he likes, he becomes much more shy and ten times dorkier, causing people who are good friends with him to laugh at his sillyness.

♦Background/History: Jaehwa had a relatively normal life with an older brother and two caring parents whose father lived in Seoul, South Korea and mother used to live in Busan, South Korea. Jaehwa and Minhyuk were born in Busan but moved when they were younger to Seoul where they went to school and Jaehwa was always in the top of his class because of his great study habits and love to learn. It wasn't until Jaehwa turned 13 though that he started to realize his parents started to argue a lot more than usual. Not knowing what was going on, he just stayed silent and watched and heard from afar about whatever it was they were arguing about with his brother always beside him and covering his ear, so he won't listen to all the yelling. One day while his mother was at work, he went up to his father and questioned him about it curiously to where his dad gave him a sad look and said that they simply... didn't connect well together anymore. Jaehwa and Minhyuk didn't know what to do except help their parents through the tough times. They couldn't do much though because a year after, they got a divorce. Jaehwa wasn't happy about it nor was he sad. He just wanted both of them to be happy, even if it meant they had to separate. He ended up staying with his father after the divorce, while Minhyuk with his mother. After 2 years, Minhyuk decided to become an idol and became a trainee to debuted in a boyband called BTOB under Cube, so he was really busy. Jaehwa missed Minhyuk, he would call him everyday and visit him often.
Another 2 years later when Jaehwa was 18, he noticed his father being happier than usual and again, asked him why. His father told him that he met a new woman and was happy to have met her. Jaehwa was surprised and confused, but his father insisted he meet her kids as well since her and her husband got a divorce as well. Jaehwa easily consented, knowing it'd make his father happy to do so. That was when he met Eunmi and Hyukmin and slowly became friends with them. They all shared one thing in common and that was their love of music and wanting to be an idol someday, like his brother Minhyuk. Despite being the oldest of the two, Jaehwa didn't get accepted in the company, but never gave up hope. He just continued to work harder with his step-siblings support and especially Minhyuk, who helped him improve his rapping and dancing skills.

♦How you auditioned/ How it went: Jaehwa auditioned when he was around 14y. He had to audition twice and was able to get in after practicing his rapping skills a million times and his dancing skills with the help of his older brother, so he can be accepted. He was accepted on his second audition because of his improved rapping and mediocre dancing skills and also because of his looks. The judges were also impressed that he could play the violin beautifully when they asked him to play a piece for them.
