An nice anon asked me to write an thorough analysis on HunHan and my opinion on them, so I’m going try, I guess. This is just an opinion I’ve gathered through my observations on them. Beware, this is a whopper.

Anywho, this is what I think:

I’m going to put this bluntly.

Sehun and Lu Han are closer mentally now, a lot closer. I’d say best friends. They shared a room for a while pre-debut, Lu Han can speak good Korean which means that they can converse well, they’d spend their leisure time with each other. They know that they are being shipped and everything, of course. Right well, if I was ever shipped with any of my friends, I know that we’d go along with it for the fun. And don’t lie, you know you would to!

Lu Han is a lot older, and has perhaps more experience with relationships with people than Sehun. He’s seen more of the world. He see’s Sehun not as a kid, but as a best friend and equal (this is different to Sehun, who is used to being patronised). I don’t think age really matters to Lu Han when it comes to friends, since his own looks deceive his age. Lu Han likes Sehun a lot, but I’d only go on as to say that he likes Sehun in a platonic way and no more than that at this moment in time.

Sehun, on the other hand, oh boy where do I start. Sehun is just so transparent. He wears his heart on his sleeve.

Sehun’s young and naive, around the usual age where some boys naturally start to question their ualities. And man is Sehun questioning his uality. He’s been around someone like Lu Han, who is himself quite naive and childlike and incredibly handsome and as much as he probably hates to hear it, he is basically cute and feminine-looking. Sehun, of course noticed this right away with his raging hormones. And he revelled in being friends with him, looking up to Lu Han and clinging to him.

Then shippers became bolder, shouted out at them, made it completely and utterly obvious that we were now shipping them together as being potentially homoual and in each others pants. I’m not saying this is a bad thing, in fact it’s a pretty good thing. Why? I’ll tell you why.

It broke down Sehun’s wall. The wall he was trying to hide behind of ‘Oh I just look up to you’ and ‘We’re just really close friends that’s why I’m always following you and talking to you’ ‘I’ve never thought about us that way, honest’ and it made him realise that now something like that has been said out loud, that the thought of a relationship like that would cross their minds just briefly.

Sehun most likely hasn’t been exposed much or any talk on homouality, and complete with him questioning himself over his own uality, I think it completely scared him and he retreated back into himself. Like I said, Sehun is completely transparent, we can easily tell when he’s angry or troubled or when is face goes blank when he’s trying to hide his emotions. He gets uncomfortable when the other members about Lu Han, because he - to put it simply - has a little crush on him…and he’s sensitive about it.

Lu Han, on the other hand, is again the opposite. He’s older and I’m pretty sure he’s been questioned about his uality loads. It’s not really my business to say what uality he is, but I’m pretty sure he’s got both doors open for possibility and that he’s quite chill about it.

Lu Han’s really open with guys, he talks and get’s on well with them because he’s an open person. Sehun isn’t like that, so I think that’s what clicked when he met Lu Han, he was so unused to being talked to so openly and friendlily by someone so darn good-looking.

The fact that he was shipped with Sehun didn’t really strike Lu Han as shocking I don’t think. I think Lu Han was at first just concerned about it’s implications on Sehun.

I’m pretty sure that Sehun and Lu Han have talked about it though, us all shipping them, and that they’ve come to some sort of agreement. An agreement of course, that we don’t and never will know.

Oh and going back on what I was saying earlier about Sehun’s transparent emotions, it’s also pretty obvious to tell when he’s in a good mood. Like when he talks and laughs with the other members. When he’s with Lu Han, he laughs and smiles lot, right?

Have you noticed that if him and Lu Han get too close it’s immediately BAM - blank face? That may be Sehun trying to hide his emotions again, he doesn’t want to show that he’s too happy.

Also, just to make my view on them even more complicated - I think Lu Han knows that Sehun is questioning himself over him. And in a way I think Lu Han is enjoying that thought (like if you found out that someone has a crush on you) and since Lu Han is so bold, he likes to tease Sehun (not directly of course) in ways like getting a bit too close to him or being a bit suggestive for the fun of it. He figures that he can pass it off as being something for the fans.

And basically it’s inwardly driving Sehun insane.

Also I think at this moment in time, this past week or so, I think Sehun is becoming even more confused, and I think that he’s beginning to open up to the other members for advice or just to talk because he’s feeling especially insecure.

So basically that’s what I think about it right now, that’s my little relationship-update-opinon on them. Like I said, it’s an opinion, neither right nor wrong.
