Personality:
Yue is the definition of sass, wit and flirting, If you look up the words in the dictionary, you'll most likely see her picture there. Yue has an infinite amount of comebacks and sarcastic sentences, she's been in many verbal fights and usually ends up victorious. She is very blunt when speaking her mind and opinion, but when a serious matter is at hand, she's knows when not to speak. She has an enormous amount of confidence which she likes to flaunt. Yue also has a large amount of swag, so when she walks, talks, etc. she will often stand out in a crowd.
She is very intelligent to complicated matters, like maths, learning languages, etc. but very vague on simple things like cooking or even riding a bike, so unless you explain it clearly, she won't be able to grasp the concept. Her sentences and the way she speaks are usually very intelligent and baffle alot of people, because of her appearance, they automatically assume she is an airhead. Despite being an over-confident diva, she cares alot about her dongsaengs and would do almost anything if meant keeping them safe. When helping people she won't make it obvious but come up with a quiet or sneaky way to fix the problem at hand.
Yue doesn't believe in taking the easy way, she thinks that if you take the hard way, you end up wiser then you were before which is true in most cases. Respect and trust is a major thing in her mind, for her to respect\trust you, you have to prove yourself before she'll do anything. She is a free-thinker and finds that religious people are idiots who believe in a make believe person. She believes in science because there is actual proof when it comes to the facts. Many times she has been called a blasphemer or an 'antichrist'. Yue will respect a persons decisions in what they believe in or what they do even if it seems idiotic. Yue is very open-minded, she treats everyone as equals, including gays, lesbians, transuals, etc.
Yue has a lot of flaws. She's stubborn, rude, bossy, gullible, manipulative and disrespectful to most of her elders. When in a fight, she believes she is in the right while the other is in the wrong and will fight until the other person gives in. Yue refuses to admit she's wrong, even when the facts are in front of her, so will keep denying she is wrong and not right. She bosses her dongsaengs around most of the time, but she does this because she cares for their wellbeing. She'll sometimes boss around her elders, even if its unintentional. Completely disrespectful to her enemies or those who hurt her family or friends, she'll make you regret ever talking to her loved ones. Very gullible to pranks and jokes, Yue will almost always fall for them and end being laughed at, though she doesn't mind because she laughs at her own gullibleness. In a heartbeat, Yue can manipulate someone(regardless of gender) into doing whatever she wants by promising them something good in return. Yue tends to be overconfident in everything she does. Always taking things to the extreme, she won't take or say no for an answer. She doesn't like for others to know what she is feeling or getting help from others.

Character/Family Background: Yue was born in Toronto, Canada where her paternal family from Taiwan came to when her father was born. Yue's father met her mother and dated for three years before getting married, Yue's mother, Robin, gave birth to Yue and Li when she was 36(Yue) and 37(Li). After finishing W.H Day elemtary school, she and her family moved back to Taiwan. Her brother knew exactly what he wanted to do when he was younger, he studied music and dance for years, becoming a music expert and a famous Club DJ in Taiwan. Yue, as soon as she turned eighteen, upped and left for Seoul as soon as she could. Yue loved music, like her brother, but she didn't know about her talents in dancing or rappng until she auditioned. Yue has practically no experience in singing, only dance and rap.
Yue doesn’t talk much about her family, even though she’s fairly wealthy. Yue's family are very down to earth people, and are never behind with the newest technology and fashion trends. Yue's mother is very loving towards Yue and Li, she also is very overprotective, always snooping Yue's Twitter and Tumblr. Yue's brother is a very laidback and lazy guy, he likes rap and very upbeat music, no matter what the language is, which is why he was the first to congratulate Yue on auditioning. Though her father is always occupied with work, he loves his family very much, he eventually shows his love Yue by giving her various presents, including her favourite food from Taiwan and Canada.

How did you guys meet? Yue couldn't speak a word of Korean when she joined SM ent. the only people she could communicate with was Victoria and Amber from f(x) and Key because they could speak either English or Mandarin

How did you guys meet? Jonghyun and Yue met through Yuri. They hung often after meeting, finding out they had lots in common.
How do you act around each other? Jongyun and Yue tend to share a lot of skinship with each other, though it usually leaves Yue blushing like a tomato. They play around and joke like best frends, but there is undeniable romantic tension between the two.
❥Before the debut daywas my struggle
How were you discovered? Yue auditioned at SM. ent, rather then get discovered on the streets. Her parents were ecstatic for her, but were afraid for her getting friends because of her minimal knowledge of Korean. Her brother was the first one who supported her, despite her Korean, he helped her to fill the audition form which had to be written in Korean, and accompanied her to the audition place. After she passed the audition and showed her amazing dance and rap talents, her parents overgrew their fear.
How long was your trainee period? 3 years
How was your trainee life? Yue had lots of freedom in her childhood, so she isn't used to the strict training and schedule. Yue passed the audition without much problem but was told to work on her singing skills. Sooman, the head of the company, saw that Yue had a talent in rapping and dancing, but mostly dancing. The company put her through extreme vocal training so she could learn to sing, because she wasn't as good as the other idols. She is being taught Korean by Amber and Victoria.
