Jonghyun is a very smart and gifted student who always scores straight A's. He's also considerate towards others, especially to the ladies. Because of this, he is known to be a mega-flirt. He quit schooling and had 2 jobs to support him and his brother. However, he NEVER allowed his younger brother to quit school and find a job. He felt that his brother had a brighter future then him ahead. When his brother got signed up as an idol for Woollim Entertainment, he was busy and hardly came home.
