To tell the truth, the fangirl in me was upset when Jonghyun of SHINee was revealed to be dating Shin Se Kyung. But as I have been reading allkpop today and looking at the articles about the bashing of Se Kyung, I got disgusted with fangirls AND I'M ONE OF THEM.

So female fans of male idols, here is what happens almost ALMOST everytime a male idol gets a significant other.

The female in the relationship gets bashed and hated to no end, and sooner or later, it either causes the relationship to end, makes it stronger, or the people just don't care. But have you ever noticed something? What happens to the male of the relationship? NOTHING!! (unless the girl is as popular as Girls' Generation or another big girl group) To me, it seems like fans are making it so male idols can do no wrong. Female idols, on the other hand, can get their careers hurt and/or ended because they start dating someone.
