Personality:

 

Jaehwa, being born under the star of Aquarius and the moon of February, has a unique liking to water especially when in larger quantities. Like water itself, Jaehwa possesses a versatile personality and can easily adapt to sudden changes. She's often referred to as CUPID by her classmates during middle school since this girl starts pair ups whenever she's in the mood. Her sweet and cheerful sides are not noticed by others during the latter part of her stay in her hometown. It was during the time she turned 16 when she decided to cut her hair short because of a promise she made to herself and was then branded as a resident tomboy ever since then.

 

Background:

I left my hometown, Busan, to pursue a degree in the Korea University of Arts and to escape from my family-- A family of well known traditional channeling practitioners, but that’s in the past.

I used to have a rich black, long hair. But because of young love, I made a promise to move on for me to be able to fulfill my duties and had to cut my hair short to serve as a daily reminder. I made a promise to myself that I will let my hair grow again when I’m ready to love again.

If yes how did you discover it and how do you use it?:

                 It was when I finished my painting for a club exhibit during middle school. It was already dark when I finished my entry. Unfortunately, while on my way to the university gates, I found a group of men who were in matching casual attires and had masks on their face. They were surrounding 3 men that were crouching on the ground and are only wearing matching shorts, they were paddled--- tortured.

It turned out that I just witnessed an initiation rite: hazing -- which was illegal under school grounds and national law. I was noticed by two of the masked men and was then chased.

            I was panicking when running away to save myself. Thinking that it could be the end of me, I thought of things that could make me run faster. Like birds, cats, dogs--that was when I suddenly noticed that my face was unusually close to the ground, I didn't care at first. I had to run after all. And that I just saw my reflection at a nearby 7eleven branch. I became a K-9.

            I was saved by my sudden shape shifting. I freaked out at first, but now I'm used to it. Only my best friend new about my ability, she was coincidentally at the place where I turned back into human form during the accidental shape shifting and so she made a good use of it. Psh, that girl, aigoo. She uses me as her personal messenger... Yeah yeah, I leave letters to the guys that she likes, as a bird, as a cute Labrador. That way she saves herself from being caught by her crushes. =_=

           Cheokjin-halmoni, 82, used to perform the traditional rituals of channeling upon request for tradition preservation purposes and owns a school to teach interested youngsters. She was the one who raised me when my parents divorced and I was under my father’s custody.

            Uncle Daebong, 48, is a bank manager in one of the branches of a well known bank in Seoul and owns the Family Carwash business.

            Aunt Bokyung, 47, a housewife that manages the family business at the same time.

            Taejun oppa was my first friend in university, my only close male friend. We were often mistaken as “brothers”. Heck yeah, his other friends thought that I was another pretty boy at school but they were completely weirded out when I called him Taejun oppa. We are in the so called “Oppa-Dongsaeng” relationship, he spoils me a lot since he only had younger brothers and he treats me as his only “Princess”, much to my dislike of the term. =_=” He was the one who helped to get a job in Kopie.

            Heebonnie, my high school bestie. We’ve been together through thick and thin. She’s my partner in squealing and spazzing when we talk about ‘namja’ related stuff. But! Only during our sleepover sessions, never in public and in school; she knows about my first love and was even present the moment I cut my hair short.

How did you meet and How do you act around each other:

It was my routine to exercise in the morning. In one particular morning, I decided to play basketball to burn off calories. After a while, a boy approached me and asked if he could use half of the court. Not long after, he asked if I was interested to have a one-on-one match with him. It was a nice game. It turned out that basketball was his morning workout. He introduced himself as Kris then after. He was nice. Our basketball matches became frequent and that we became friends. I don’t call him ‘oppa’ though, despite the . I preferred calling him ‘hyung’, he was too cool for me to call him ‘oppa’. Unknowingly, as time went by, basketball matches became movie and lunch dates during weekends. I was 15 and he was 16. Things were going smooth between us, we played around like the usual and he would suddenly hold my hand whenever we are on our way home. Heebon said that we practically looked like in a relationship, but Kris didn’t say anything. I didn’t try to confess either; it’s not like me doing that thing. So I just waited. But after almost a year, during the month of September, things started to change drastically. Kris’s family decided to move back to China, while I discovered my ability.

            We met each other, maybe 4 hours, before they leave Busan and Kris was shocked when he saw my newly cut hair. The long hair that he used to touch was now short. He didn’t have to know why and just told him that I just wanted to try something new.

How did you meet:

He was a frequent customer of the Kopie, but Taejun oppa told me that Chanyeol started frequenting the shop when I was hired to be one of the café’s employees. Taejun oppa rarely sees Chanyeol inside the shop before.

And it turned out that he is a member of the photography club and photography works with our club when it’s about outdoor activities. And guess what? We’re partners!

Why should I choose your character?

Shape Shifters are suitable for surveillance and infiltration, good back up when the first line offensive units are occupied. :) And I think the channeling skils (genes? xD) can be of good use someday.
