I think lots of you will know who singer Psy is.. Or at least his song, "Gangnam Style".

I read a really ridiculous news article that says that some foreigners (quite a lot of them actually) believe that the song is a J-Pop!!

Well, at least some youtubers..

So, there's this list of reasons why "Gangnam Style" can't be a Japanese song.

1. Psy is a Korean singer who debuted in Korea and currently performing in Korea

2.The entertainment company he is in is a Korean company

3. The most important point is that "Gangnam" is not in Japan!!! IT'S A NAME FOR A PART OF KOREA!! MORE SPECIFICALLY A PART OF SEOUL WHICH IS QUITE WELL-KNOWN FOR RICH PEOPLE LIVING THERE!!! 강남!!!

4. Apparantly, he is speaking Korean. Not believing me? Ask random Japanese whether Psy is singing in Japanese and ask for him/her to translate it for you.

Yeah, I know that his song really is different from average K-pop songs by idols but to me, as a proud Korean, I feel insulted a bit as it sounds like every korean music is like whatever the K-pop idols sing! No! It's not! Quite lot of Korean singers have different styles of music!

For example, Norajo (노라조)!! Their songs are really funny and full of humourous lyrics by playing with words! Cherry Filter (체리필터) and Nemesis (네메시스) or Pia (피아)!! Nemesis and Pia are not really well-known or mainstream but anyway, there's different musicians with their own style of music!!

By the way, if anyone wants to listen to some Korean songs that are different from usual K-pop idol songs, just tell me. I'll write down some reccommendation list.
