#PrayForThePhilippines

First of all, I'm not doing this because I'm seeking attention or for I'm a fame- but because this is a real serious matter. Since July 29, Philippines had experienced non-stop heavy rains. We are experiencing heavy rains for 10 days and there was no typhoon. Yes, no typhoon.  It is the Southwest Moonsoon that cause all of these rains.

Today, I am writing this blog (August 7, 2012 1:53 pm ; GMT+8) many areas around Metro Manila were flooded already. The water levels in those areas reached the second floor of their houses. In provinces, lanslide and flashflood also occur. People stay in their roof tops, waiting to be rescued. Schools and Malls are open for those who are stranded.

I am living in the city of Marikina, and now the water level in Marikina river already reached 20.19 meters. That's the critical level already and the water from the river is overflowing. People living near that area are the most affected.

So that is our situation right now. I thank God that we are not affected by floods but there's still a possibility because the rain hasn't stop yet.

Last 2009, we experienced the same scenario. That was during the typhoon Ondoy. Many lives were taken and I don't want that to happen again. Still, I'm proud of my fellow Filipinos because we help each other and despite our situation right now, we are still able to smile. Again, I'm not doing this because I'm seeking attention. Everyone of us needs help. I'm not asking for material things but your prayers will do. Please pray for us, please pray for our country.

To my fellow Filipinos who are reading this, I hope you are safe!!

Thank you for having a time in reading this!
