Personality:
Yen grew up in a single family and her extremely young mother did not care about her well-being much, though her mother works to provide her with her basic needs and education. She was not pressured by high expectations from her elders. However, as a born perfectionist, she would be the one going hard on herself. Here’s an example hardly a week back, she’d just gotten a new Beethoven piece to play on in the morning. She was determined to learn the entire 12 pages up that afternoon but she wasn’t able to. She ended up playing the piece throughout the night and managed to catch half an hour of sleep before dashing to school the next morning.

 

Yen appears quiet if you have not encountered her for long, she does not seem too enthusiastic in front of new friends. Don’t get me wrong, she’s not shy. She is rather egoistic and she needs to maintain her perfect image. Furthermore, she would not like to blurt something stupid in front of mere companions who might still be judging her. Despite having spent her entire life in a mixed school, she feels uncomfortable and easily gets nervous around boys around her age, Kris would be the only exception. This is probably one of those stupid keep-your-cool issues.

 

Yen is a top student, knows four languages and plays the chess. When she was in elementary school, she was known as a nerd for she did not care about her physical appearance. After she enters high school, she would make sure that she spends a good fifteen minutes looking pretty with her makeup kept to minimum. Though it may sound stupid, she even signed herself up for the drama club, dance lessons and even archery, just so her nerdy image would fade, instantly. The point is, it worked, she is now the symbol of elegance and confidence. To be specific, she panics a lot but is good in camouflaging her uneasiness, others would only see her calm composure.

 

Still, Yen's friends know that her cover and her core are two different stories. In actual, she is friendly and easy to get along with. Being a child at heart, she acts like the youngest amongst the clique. She loves to poke her friends whenever she feels bored, she has a known adore for cute soft toys and she is the only one among her friends who dare to put on ribbons or other cute accessories on outside at an age of over 13.

Yen has a habit of putting her phone on silent for the whole day so that it does not distract her, and she would spend fifteen minutes before going to bed checking and replying her messages.

Yen usually avoids consuming meat in her meals for she does not like meat by nature.

How did you discover your power:

Yen felt the warmth of sunshine streaming through the window. She recalled snoozing the alarm clock when it rang this morning. She was late for school!

 

She opened her eyes and found herself sitting at her desk in the familiar classroom. To her dismay, she was still in her pajamas. Panic took over as she heard footsteps approaching from the corridor outside. Being helpless, she stared at the door, wishing that a strong wind would blow and force the door shut before anyone could enter the otherwise-vacant classroom.

 

The door did slam itself shut, only there was no wind. Shaky but relieved at the same time, she retrieved the cell phone she forgot in the drawer the day before and called home…

 

Though special abilities aren’t meant to be learned up, she would secretly practice flight from the secret method she managed to trick Kris into spilling.

 

Back-up special abilities:
Psionic blast and telepathy.

 

How did you discover your power:

Yen and Kris took their usual route home and saw a group of teenagers making fun of a young child. She did not care enough to approach them and stand up for the child, but she did glare at the teenagers, looking down on them. She was mortified when she found them on the floor, looking pained.

 

Kris looked around and checked, there was no one around except for the both of them, the child and the teenagers. Could she possibly have psionic blast? Surprise was written all over his face.

 

“Psionic blast?” She voiced her curiosity, not knowing that she read Kris’ thought. Kris immediately dashed home, pulling her along with him and tried to verify her special abilities.

Closeness:

Yen's mother gave birth to her at a surprisingly young age of seventeen. She never knew who Yen's father was, for she was a social butterfly during her teenage years, not to mention extremely popular for her skills in ual s too.

 

As much as Yen does not like her mother working at a place with complicated setting – a night club, one thing she is proud of her mother, Na is an expert at making herself and her daughter pretty. Yen has picked up a thing or two about styles and posing. The greatest difference between Yen and Na would be, the mother keep her makeup to maximum volume while Yen love to tone it down to the minimum.

 

Yen’s intense passion in photography – more like modeling, is a big-time influence from her mother.

 

To make things clear, Yen is close to her mother like she is to an intimate girl friend; they never share a mother-daughter bond though.

Closeness:

Kris was a playmate of Yen’s when she was young, probably why she felt comfortable with him when she went overseas (Canada) to further her studies and stayed at his house even though she did not seem to remember the times they were children.

 

Seeing the young lady Yen now is, Kris still sees the soft her she was, someone who would never fend for herself. His urge to protect her like a big brother returned. With the approval of both their parents, Kris became Yen’s godbrother.

 

Even though he is usually gentle towards her, he has high expectation towards her. After discovering her special abilities, he would train her to use her power in a harsh way, but his intention is purely for her own good for she is exposed to great danger the moment her ability was unveiled and he needs to keep her safe.

Let me add in part of Yen’s encounter with Sehun.

 

Being an orphan since birth, Sehun lacks confident and does not open up to anyone. He felt insecure and had trust issues as no one was ever there for him or to look out for him.

 

He suffers from insomnia. When he finally drifts off, he would be haunted by endless nightmares and end up muffling his cries with his pillow during the night.

 

Yen discovered Sehun’s fears after teleporting into his room to check on him one night. Since then, she would stay with him before he falls asleep and reassuringly soothes him whenever his nightmare begins. Sehun has slowly developed trust for Yen and comfort in her presence.

 

Rival:

TOP.
TOP was popular at the senior high Kris and Yen attended in Canada, he dated a lot of girls because it would be suspicious if he didn’t as he was a school prince. However, he never showed much interest in the girls he dated and avoided skin contact with them if possible. The others thought that he had expectation this high that none of the girls were good enough for her. Nobody knew what he actually had in mind though.

 

Kris fell asleep on the grassy slope as he watched the sky ahead, lying on his back. A spasm of excitement and panic jolted in TOP as he found Kris asleep, and defenseless when he was simply passing by. He approached Kris, hesitated, and then leaned in. TOP’s lips were going to crash on Kris’, when Yen appeared at the scene to meet up with her godbrother after school.

 

“KRISSSSSS” Yen shouted, and TOP was busted. The entire school came to know of it and his ‘fans’ never looked at him the same way again. How could he not hate Yen for ruining his name and his once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to kiss his life-long crush? But Yen couldn’t let her godbrother lose his innocence, in such an odd way, and she wouldn’t want him to use up the entire dozen of mouth-rinse in the store room…

 

✵ i love you and you love me———————————————

Love Interest:
Luhan

 

Personality:
Playful, outgoing, understanding, sweet, gentle and protective.

 

How do you act with one another:
The eleven mutants (EXO members) would not entertain Luhan’s being cute. He was on cloud nine when Yen did not roll her eyes at his childishness; beyond thrilled when she would play along. Abnormal it may seem, but they would spend hours playing aegyo and having conversations which hardly make sense. Being unexplainably childish, Yen steals plushy from Luhan’s room and hide them somewhere, solely to be amused at his over-reaction.

 

Whenever they are not feeling playful and distracted, they might spend hours practicing on their telekinesis ability. Unlike Yen who prefers staying at home, Luhan is a social heir. He would take her everywhere and introduce new friends to her – night clubs, gyms, river cruises, camping…  Yen has slowly learned to love leading a social life.

 

Let me add in a little history on how Luhan and Yen met.
 

He had been gazing at the mug of water on the table for minutes. Strange, was his telekinesis failing?
On the other end of the room, she was staring at the water-filled mug, her stare this intense that she was shaking.
What they couldn’t see was each other. Why you may wonder, simply because the room divider is playing its role well.

 

Frustrated Luhan and Yen decided to give up and stormed towards the mug of water, to find themselves facing a surprised one another.

 

Back-up Love Interest: 
Suho

 

Personality:

Bipolar, whiny, gentle, determined and smart, an attention .

 

How do you act with one another:

An angel he is to the others, Yen was surprised to discover that his tongue is sharp as a blade. Yen thought that he somewhat disliked her because he would show no mercy in his choice of words; whereas he is downright polite to everyone else. Suho called it pwn-ing her, and he does enjoy it a lot. Yen never knew that he treats her in such a way simply to catch her attention.

 

He is determined to win Yen, and he did subtly hint her about that. Even though Yen would consider his aggressive behavior terrible and felt slightly offended towards his rude speech, she felt safe with him for she knows that he would never do her any harm and would fend for her.

As you can see, very anxious me included everything up there.
No kidding, I spent the entire Sunday and Monday afternoon trying to get this filled, minus my hours of sleep and tuition classes of course.

 

Comments:
In my choice of magical abilities, you can see that I break the rules by slotting in a weak third. I’d helped out in an apply fiction before and my idea of creativity was to break the rules. Sorry about that, simply cancel ‘flight’ if it’s not acceptable.

About the TOP part, perhaps it doesn’t make sense, but it sounds hilarious to me, LOL.
