Why Are ChangSoo Shippers called Sages?

–noun
1. a profoundly wise person; a person famed for wisdom.
2.someone venerated for the possession of wisdom, judgment, and experience.

–origin
1250–1300; Middle English (noun and adj.) < Old French < Late Latin sapidus wise, tasteful ( Latin: tasty), equivalent to sap ( ere ) to know, be wise, orig. to taste ( see sapient)

The first idea that comes to mind about the ChangSoo couple is about the two of them being Shikshins or Food Gods. For this, two of the first shipper names formulated for ChangSoo were Chefs and Priests/Priestesses. Chefs were discarded as it basically focuses on only one facet of their personalities: their endless adoration for food. Priests/Priestess were also taken away because it is quite long and it sounds so ecclesiastical. Sages came up for its supposed close alliteration with ChangSoo. Though the first thing that usually comes to mind when one speaks of Sages is religion, the actual dictionary definition of a sage is “a profoundly wise person or a person famed for wisdom”. They are usually spiritual teachers but are not really of the religious kind. Furthermore, researching on the etymology of the word itself, it was found out that the word origin is actually something related to taste.

As Sages, shippers of the couple are expected to be grounded and prudent; enthusiastic but composed; devoted but open-minded. Like the two ShikShins who have been incredibly scrupulous throughout their idol years, with almost spot-clean records and both rarely getting into scandals, ChangSoo shippers will do their best to protect the two, may it be individually or as a couple. Be the bigger and wiser person, as the title Sage suggests, and be tolerant of other people who do not share the same opinion as ours. Sages seek to impart the philosophy of the Food God and Goddess; to love and live freely without bothering anyone. May it be for the love of food or anything else in general.
