I don't understand why in almost every Vinseop fanfic, Kiseop is the depressed emo-ish one and Kevin is the happy and innocent one. I just don't understand why everyone seems to put Kiseop as "depressed" or "suicidal", it just doesn't make sense to me.

Kiseop is one of the most happy-go-lucky idols i've seen. He's constantly joking around and making the other members laugh or doing strange and considerably stupid things for no reason at all. Is that what you think upset people are like? It's because of his past isn't it. Just because he was depressed and suicidal when he was younger, it doesn't mean that he is now. Is that what people think? Or is it because he fits the "image" of a depressed teen better? Because those are the only two reasons I can come up with.

Also, there's no certain 'look' for people who are depressed. I hate the sterio-type that all depressed people wear dark clothing and have dark hair, because that's not true. It just...gosh it bothers me.

Now on Kevin's side, I'd pin him as the depressed one over Kiseop any day (If you read my vinseop fanfics you know that). He always seems so...happy, like overly happy about everything. Honestly no one can be that happy about the stupid things he 'loves' so much unless they're trying to hide something. I think he's trying to hide the fact that he's depressed so the media and other members won't find out and cause a commotion over it. He's pretending to be happy and laugh and whatnot while inside he's dying and feels like he's rotting from the inside-out.

Trust me, I know all about faking happiness. And Kevin just seems to give off that aura that he'd hiding something under all those smiles and giggles. I don't know, maybe it's just me. Maybe i'm just crazy.

Please leave a comment explaining why you think Kiseop is always depressed and Kevin is always happy in fanfics. I would really appreciate your input.
