Character/ Idol: Ren from NU’EST

Ren looked at himself in the mirror of the schools bathroom. A dark bruise had set under his eye, but he covered it up with his bangs. He gave a tiny smile and gathered his school bag. It was heavy and he slightly dragged under the weight. But he kept a tiny smile on his face as he exited the bathroom.

When he passed a group of the jocks, he kept his head down. But he didn’t let their name calling get to him. He continued to walk; he didn’t need to hear what they had to say. If anything, it had all been said before. But when one of the jocks walked up to him and grabbed his shirt he flinched away, causing himself more pain in the long run. He was knocked down and kicked.

Ren didn’t curse at him; he kept his cool and looked away. “I’m sorry.” He whispered. He slowly stood up and tried to grab his bag that had skidded across the floor. He hissed when he was kicked again.

So he just laid there, and waited. Waited for the laughing crowd to leave and when the finally did, he went and got his bag and continued on his way, like nothing had happened. Though the smile had wiped off his face. He needed to remember that smiling rarely got him sympathy around them.
