Her parents lived in Taiwan because of her father job as a businessman. Na mi's childhood in Taiwan was great but one day when she was 11 her parents got into a big fight. Her mother left the house and never came back, The reason for this Na mi doesn't knows. Her father refused to talk about it and whenever Na mi mention it her father will get angry and starts screaming at her, because of this Na mi doesn't talk about her mother anymore. A half year later her father got transfered to Seoul and they started a new life there. On her first day at school she met two people that were friendly to her, Ra Hyo and Hong Shin they became close friends straight away. After Ra Hyo and Hong Shin found out about her singing/rapping and dancing they ask her to audition for SM. Na mi refused, but Ra Hyo and Hong Shin didn't want Na mi to just let a het talent go away. After a few years they signed her up and trick her to go to SM audition. After the audition she got accepted but still refused. After lots of talking with her father, she ended up joining SM as a trainee. After 4 years of training Na mi joined the girlgroup beauty.
