Personality: Park Ah Reum or Ara is an independent girl. She is cheerful, bubbly and a really crazy girl. She do what she wants and practically ignore what other people think about her. That is until she joins Chungdae All-girls Academic Boarding School. She gets punished on her first day of school for not understanding what the teacher teaches. Crazy, huh? After that incident, she kind of become a hypocrite. She tends to become a mannered girl in front of the teachers but she can be really crazy with her friends.
Ara tries her best in her studies. She is not really good in Math and always get scolded by her Math teacher. She never get angry towards anyone. Well, except for the teachers, of course. She always break her things whenever she got angry. But she never show it to other people. Her friends can always depend on her and tell her their secrets. She is a great listener but not really good at giving advice. She is a loyal friend and always try to help her friends every time they got into trouble.

Family background Ara's father is an American businessman while Ara's mother is a Korean. Ara's mother was furious when she found out and that's when Ara's family started to get worse. They always fight every time they met each other. Ara always run to her brother every time they fight. Ara's brother always hugs her and sang to make her feels alright. The fight goes for 2 years.
When Ara was 15, her parents divorced. They told Ara and her brother that they still love them but they don't love each other anymore. Since then, Ara lives with her mother while her brother lives with her father, who moves to New York. Ara and her brother made a promise to meet each other once in two weeks. They kept their promise but when Ara was 16, she moves with her mother to Korea, her birthplace.
Two months after they moved, Ara found out that her father is married to a doctor whom he met recently. Ara was angry with her father because she secretly wishes that her parents will back together. Now, that wish won't come true. Ara can't meet her brother for a long time because Korea is very far from New York. When Ara was 17, her brother moved with her mother to work in Korea.
Her mother was a really busy woman and always come home late. Her brother was also busy with his modeling job. Ara's mother sent her to Chungdae All-girls Academic Boarding School because she was expelled from school for holding a party secretly in her classroom.
