Drabble, anyone? (For Jessy)

Hi guys, so this is my drabble for Jessy (glitteryy) because she's so darn sweet and too good for me.

Jessy: Here's the Hoji I promised you. Thank you for writing me those little messages every day. You're adorable and I love you a bunch, okay? ;_;

His Doll featuring Hoya (Infinite) and Eunji (A Pink)

“Yah Eunji-ah!” The chubby-faced boy shouted suddenly from outside the fitting room. Ignoring the fierce glare from a nearby store clerk, he sheepishly continued. “You’ve already tried on eleven different dresses and five different pairs of shoes. Can we finally go home now?” The expected voice didn’t answer and thus, he decided to try again, this time raising his voice ever so slightly.

Opening his mouth to shout again, he shut it quickly when the dressing room door finally flung open. Out appeared a rather frustrated girl wearing a light sapphire dress.

Pretending that she didn’t hear his previous plead, she asked with a pout: “How about this one? I think it’s a bit too short; I don’t want to seem informal at her wedding. But, I really like the slight fringe on the end. Oh, but does the color suit me?”

He rolled his eyes. This was the second sapphire dress she had tried on in less than 5 minutes and she was still questioning whether the color was right? This reminded him how much he despised shopping. Correction: he hated shopping with Eunji.

“I like it. You look pretty. It’s not too short and not too poufy like the last one. Just take it and let’s go!” He added with an exasperated sigh.

Eunji smirked. He was always like this when she dragged him along one of her shopping sprees. First at the apartment, he would refuse to tag along. But she would persist and eventually, he would give up attempting to resist her bribes—most of which usually involved an extra kiss or two before bedtime—a service she was quite proud of because it sent him off to dreamland with that ridiculously dorky grin plastered on. Then in less than half an hour in the mall, he would begin to moan of boredom. This boredom usually led to more whines and protests. He was such a child sometimes, but she always found way to shut him up. The boy just simply didn’t understand that a girl needed more than thirty minutes to spend in a mall that held over a hundred department stores. Sheesh.

Throwing him a sweet smile, she said: “Lee Howon. I know what you want. There’s that soccer game tonight that you can’t possibly miss. You’re only anxious to leave this place so you can glue yourself in front of that television screen. You’re going to want to be home before five, even though we both know very well that the match doesn’t begin until six-thirty. Can you please just give me an honest opinion about this last dress?”

Howon frowned and she couldn’t help but watch his eyebrows turn downwards in that slanted arch. It was both amusing and awfully adorable from her point of view. Before he could argue, she continued, “I promise. Just this last one. I saved the best for last.”

Though knowing that he will regret it later, he nodded reluctantly. Eunji gave a little squeal before abruptly pecking him on the cheek and disappearing behind door. Glancing down at his watch, he saw that she was right. It was barely four-thirty; the broadcast of the game wouldn’t start for more than over an hour. And Eunji never lied. If she said she wouldn’t make him late, it was as good as any promise.

His eyes began to slowly wander the store. Spotting a Sports Illustrated magazine nearby, he immediately jumped up to get hold of it. All the while accidently knocking over his chair, which caused him another ruthless scowl from the very same store attendant. He gave her several quick bows while continuously apologizing for his mistake. She didn’t stop staring at him until another customer walked in and thankfully diverted her attention. He walked carefully towards the magazine, making sure he didn’t knock down any clothing racks or disrupt the standing mannequins. Just as his hand was about to grab the catalogue, he heard his name called. And it was by none other than his lovely angel, of course. He let out another groan and took long strides back to the fitting room area. But the sight he was about to see surprised him thoroughly.

The dress she was wearing looked absolutely stunning. Maybe it was because he hadn't really paid much attention to the earlier ones, but he thought this one was exceptional. The lilac hue seemed to match her skin tone perfectly and the cream-colored, thin sash around her waist made her seem so fragile, like a doll almost. His very own doll.

“Eunji-ah…” he began, but she interrupted him, anxiously biting the side of her lip.

“You don’t like it do you?” Her face fell. “I thought you would…Mom’s always saying lilac’s my color, lilac brings out my eyes, lilac goes well with my skin tone.” He opened his mouth to object, but she didn’t stop. “I guess she’s wrong. If you don’t like it, then it’s definitely not for me.”

With that, she turned around, heading back to change into her white t-shirt and shorts. But Howon grasped her arm tightly and pulled her back.

“Jung Eun-ji, you never let me finish! Why do you always make assumptions by yourself? Did I say I didn’t like it?” Watching her eyes widen, he had forgotten that maybe he had just raised his voice at her. He couldn’t help it. He spoke louder whenever he got agitated or excited. And obviously, it was the latter at the moment.

Giving her a soft smile—the one he knew she adored most—he went on, “I love the dress. It’s perfect for you.” He ran his finger down her cheek and watched as the color flushed into them. “Your mom’s completely right. This color is your color.”

There was a pause before he started again. “But you know what I love more than this dress or the color?” he asked her teasingly. Eunji looked at him with confusion, shaking her head. He pulled her into a tight embrace and said, “I love the person in the dress more than anything. I’ll love you, no matter what you wear. Even if a color looks terrible on you, you’ll always be my precious doll. You know that right?”

Before she could answer, they both heard a sharp beep coming from Eunji’s phone. She grabbed it, checking her newest text message.

Watching her expression change, Howon asked cautiously, “What? Who is it?” Eunji laughed uneasily. That laugh. It was her up-to-no-good laugh, and he knew it all too well.

“So Howon…would you still love me as much if I told you some bad news? Well it’s not really bad news per say. See, if you loo-”

“Jung Eun-ji! Tell me what that message was about!” He stopped her midway, glancing at her suspiciously.

“Sunggyusaidthematchstartedearlierbecausethetvstationdecidedtochangeuptheirschedulesonowit’sstartingatfive,” she blurted out in one breath. The smile was quickly swept off his face and he released from their embrace. “Are you mad?” she added warily.

Without another word, Howon began to walk towards the exit. Two steps away from the shop’s exit, he turned around and said to her, “All I’m going to say is you better change fast, Jung Eunji!”

So what did you think Jessy? I hope you liked it. I mean, I know we all have our different tastes in writing, so I wish that you don't find mine annoying or awful. I didn't have a chance to check for grammar or anything so I hope there's nothing majorly wrong. There wasn't a major plot and it was kind of fluffy. I'm not a fan of fluff so I wrote some YoonKris angst right after I wrote this today. XD I hope the characterization was okay since I know nothing about Infinite and A Pink. Literally nothing. I spent some time researching a bit because I really don't like writing about idols I know nothing about. Sport-crazed Hoya I got from reading somewhere that he wanted to be a physical education teacher before. LOL so that's that. I really didn't get anything done today. I wrote this drabble and two other ones, but that's it. -.- Now, I need to find some food. But really, fluff is not my genre tbh.

Starving,

Jenny

P.S. Oh and here's a pretty Hoji edit that has nothing to do with my drabble, but would add some color to this blog. XD
