History: Soon-yi grew up with a Korean father and Dominican father. Her parents worked in the international trade business. She was daddy's princess and mommy's best friend. She grew up with a twin sister and an older brother. She learned how to sing from her brother and also rap from him. In her school years she was made fun and picked on, because she was mixed between two very different races and cultures. It hurt her very deeply and for a time, she disliked being who she was. She was depressed and sad and in 9th grade she realized, who she is very special and her confidence came back.
