• Toji. It's his sister who calls him that. Daeji's name meaning Earth, it kinds of explains why. Toji is land in Korean. His sister always teases him about how important the earth is for all, humans, animals, trees––and well, whatever it is you can see on this planet; unlike him who's just a normal guy... not. Oh well, his sister doesn't know how people can't live without land because she's a fish. (Yeah, Daeji calls her that; she basically lives underwater, trust him.)

Childish, handsome, playfully evil. Jo Daeji basically loves attention; your perfect day-to-day narcissist. He usually acts younger to every people he meets (though he's older than them by years) and tells them that he has more common sense than every being in this world – which people may see as endearing or just plain annoying. He lives to what he says, though. He's indeed good looking and intelligent. Heck, his IQ is 149! Though his personality isn't that advisable, he is a top student – an eloquent, logical, and articulate one. He doesn't show those characteristics most of the time, though, declaring that he only needs his handsome face.

 

He loves food too! Breakfast, lunch, dinner. Oh, how he loves those times of the day. Feed him anything, he'll eat it! Be it spicy, sweet, bitter... As long as it's food then, bring it on!

 

Daeji doesn't actually care what people think of him as long as his family and friends stay by his side. But sometimes he gets the feeling that every person close to him might leave him somewhere in the future. That is why he treasures them so much that even when one of them loses a strand of hair, he starts acting like a mad man that's going to murder someone.

 

He is actually Isolophobic, which explains why he loves gaining attention; he detests being alone. Silence also haunts him every time. Daeji, obviously, loves noise. No, scratch that, he despises silence but he also doesn't like noise... he loves music. Be it music of any kind or genre, as long as it's music, he'll love them. Music is his weapon against silence, so he'll cherish it until he dies. If he loses it, he might just want to live at a corner, sulking like the baby he really is.

 

Daeji isn't also the type who cries everytime. He is always acts strong. Once, he said that crying is a sign of weakness; he doesn't want to be labeled as weak. He wanted to be strong. That's why when he feels sad or frustrated, he never cries, he just listens to his music and takes a nap.

 

All in all, Jo Daeji is your all time childish guy who loves praising himself so much. He's a pain in the most of the time unless you look into his real self further. He loves food and music very much that he can't live without them.

How you became you

 

Biography (Be as descriptive as possible):

 

It was during a calm day of winter when a happy couple, Jo Jeabu and Fujiseki Mika was gifted a very healthy and energetic baby. They named the very handsome baby boy Daeji meaning Earth with the hope that their son would grow up as someone that would be of help to everyone he sees (like how our Mother Earth is an essential part of our lives).

 

Childhood wasn't the best for Daeji. Because he had the good looks and an intelligent mind for a 6 year old, most girls admired him; the other boys, though, envied him. He became the target for bullies after that. He always thought that people admired him only for his looks and intelligence but not who he really was inside, and he was disheartened by it. Everytime he was bullied, no one actually cared to save him; no one was there to even lend a helping hand. That was when he established the thought that no one actually cared; that he was alone. He was scared. Of course, he was scared. He was still a child back then! Daeji didn't tell his parents, thinking that they would just shrug away what he'll say; that they won't also care. He was scared to be hurt. Scared of pain. That's why he started to become narcissistic. He craved for attention; he wanted attention. People would leave him if he didn't ask for it. He was afraid to be alone. He despised being alone.

 

That personality of his gradually grew on him, and it never disappeared. Daeji's family thought that their son/brother was just being his usual self and it was the influence of other people; they never really thought that Daeji had already established a mentality since childhood that no one would actually care about him unless he grabs their attention. His problem was never solved, that's why he was like that.

 

His only escape was music – his music. The sole reason why he chose his current profession.

 

Daeji lived his life thinking that he was the only one that could help himself; that no one else would decide his future but him. That might be an advantage but not if he didn't let anyone lend him a helping hand. He may not show it, but he never wanted anyone to help him. After not being helped back when he was a child, he was scared that people might reject his plead for help. He gave up on the thought of someone helping him, so he grew independent. But, he knew – his subconscious knew – that at times, he wanted to be dependent of someone. He wanted to be in the arms of someone and just cry his feelings out.

 

Daeji might be a cheerful lad on the outside but in reality, his heart is a total wreck.

Called the stabilizer of their group, their trio – Daeji, Haneul, and their cousin – Haneul is the one that makes every plan work smoothly. She's always neutral, preventing their group to fight. She might be small, but she's very feisty! (Once she hit Daeji in the head using a tennis racket just to discipline him.) What was training like for you? (What was easy, what was hard, meet anyone, etc):

 

Training was a fun obstacle to pass for Daeji. It was hard, it was easy, and exciting all at the same time! He really thought of his love for music when training and used that as a motivation to never give up. He always looked at the positive side of everything and never let anyone bring him down. Daeji also socializes with other trainees and trainers alike regularly and is really liked at their company because of his bright personality.

 

No one noticed his bad side all throughout the years, and Daeji thought it was better that no one knew of his problem.

Hero/Idol (Explain why): Kim Xiah Junsu is Daeji's all-time idol. He looked up to him since he was young, declaring that he'll be like Junsu soon. He's a very passionate and humble person, and Daeji would want to be like him in the future when he gets successful like him.
