Singapore-based / Singaporean readers?

Hi, do I have any Singaporean readers here? Or those who are living in Singapore? I hope someone would say yes :)

I'm planning to travel to Singapore later this month with a friend and I'm looking for a place to stay in.

Can you guys suggest affordable hotels - bed and breakfast - inns that are located  in Orchard Rd (or walking distance to the place).

So far I'm leaning towards SHA Villa or YWCA Fort Canning Lodge. But I still find it a tad pricey.

i just came back from singapore, you should stay at centre point, its on orchard, its so cheap and clean. actually centre point is inside the mall near starhub too

I think you can check YMCA hotel<br />
It's on Orchard Road <br />
and not expensive and clean
