Personality: She comes off as overly emotional when provoked, a bit sadistic when angered, and overall, isolated from the rest of her own kind. Daemin is acknowledged as one of the worst kind of people, personality-wise. She tends to mope about in her life, acting all sullen and morbid like the heartless nobody she is. She often brushes people’s hair the wrong way, causing unnecessary tension and hatred toward her. She is incredibly awkward around excessively happy people who try to get her to lighten up. Daemin will spend most of her life trying to escape conformity, running in the opposite direction of the pack. She worships individuality, and is secretly proud deep down inside for being a unique, unforgettable person. A pessimistic vibe flows through her, causing her to snap out sharp remarks. She’s often compared to a loner wolf, confining itself inside its own bubble. People often refer to her as the cliché term emo. If you do, Daemin will roll her eyes at you and retort, “I can’t be emo, you pathetic little idiot. That’s a music genre.” Her life, though she may not admit it, is Kingdom Hearts. She thinks that it’s beautiful – that’s the only she can describe it. Thus, she has key-shaped everythings dangling from her: earrings, a necklace, keychains… Daemin wants to maintain a stoic façade. When her mind isn’t clogged up with all the burdens of school, however, she has an ongoing hobby. This is where her habit of collecting things comes in. She’s an avid collector of just about anything – in addition to her Kingdom Hearts stuff – from stamps to fancy hotel soap. She’s an only child, and tends to tell herself stories for entertainment. Daemin, upon first impression, is like a black hole – an empty void of blankness; she is able to sap the hope right out of you. However, you will soon learn that she’s a star – when she explodes, she gives birth to many new, intriguing things.

Short history: Daemin was raised into a large family consisting of six. The family started out living in New York. Daemin, however, was curious about how her previous home was like. Thus, when she was old enough, she convinced her parents she would be fine enough on her own. Afterwards, she moved back to Korea, seeking out a new life. She attended school and achieved the position of a part-time florist – before she was fired for scaring away all the customers.

Fear factor: Daemin doesn’t get frightened as easily as one would think. She knows how fear works—or at least, she thinks she knows how it works. She isn’t stirred by the typical fears others have, like the dark or spiders or heights; this makes her pretty confident that she is unmovable. When faced with actual situations that she fears, however, her first instinct is denial: denial that it’s happening, denial that she’s scared. She reacts rather violently, and one can almost sense the franticness in her tone.

Partner relationship: Though they don’t have many aspects in common, there is just something about them that binds them together. Maybe it’s the fact that Daemin finds him—kind of—a little bit—okay, really attractive. They can talk about anything, and it helps her get that weight off her chest. They can just insult each other lightheartedly and not make a big deal out of it. Really, it’s impossible to think that he – the one with a whole bunch of friends – and her – the loner – could interact so well with each other. It works, though, and that’s the only thing that matters. But it doesn’t take much for her to understand him, and vice versa. They simply click in a way.
