Style: Hyojoo doesn’t particularly like to wear skirts or dresses – not because she’s anti-girly – and prefers pants. Her style revolves more around the whole skinny jeans with pumps and a tank top or t-shirt under a leather jacket. She loves vivid colours and likes long chained necklaces, and wearing her glasses. In terms of what type of bag she uses, she has a tendency of sticking to backpacks, she doesn’t like any other bag, she only likes backpacks.  Her hairstyle never really changes unless she has no choice. Personality: 

If you were to ask her friends what she’s like, the first thing anyone would say would be she’s motherly. Hyojoo is the girl who has everything balanced and you could say she’s somewhat of a control freak. Not one day in her life does she take a break, and not because she has no choice but because she likes to be busy. Hyojoo – as stated earlier – is very motherly. She nags like a mother and she looks after everyone like a mother, but when she gets frustrated, you can notice that she’s irritated – in which case people stop causing a fuss because they don’t want her to be upset. People don’t like to upset her because they feel heartbroken. It’s almost as if you’re hurting your own mother.  

Hyojoo is very good at giving advice and likes to listen to other people’s problems rather than expressing her own. She listens and is the go to girl when you’re feeling down and need some guidance. It isn’t as if she’s reserved that she doesn’t talk about her problems, rather she doesn’t think of her problems as problems more like…obstacles that can be easily surpassed. She despises it when people try to pry into her business and just nosy people in general make her angry. She has a temper you don’t want to bother and she does very well have the ability to make you miserable if she wanted to, but coming with this temper, she is an easy crier. Hyojoo gets really emotional really easily which makes her easily moved but also easily saddened. She had always been really popular amongst her peers but has shown that she doesn’t particularly like to interact with others, and really only likes to talk closely with a select few.

Hyojoo is always out and about doing something productive. Telling her to not do something is like throwing a kitten into a puddle. You see the drenched kitten and you want to help it so much you give in and dry it off. You see her sitting around with a pout, sad face and playing with her hair and you just can’t seem to not want to give her something to do. Hyojoo is like the resident psychologist in the wonderful Kpop world where she has an open ear for everyone. Though for people she doesn’t like, they generally keep their distance from her not only because she can get frightening, but because they themselves don’t want to get involved with her.

Hyojoo’s daily antics may either make you think she’s hilarious or just downright silly. She is a very exaggerative person. Not exaggerating the truth type of exaggerative, but she talks with hand gestures, when things get heated up she raises her voice, and some of the facial expressions she makes is just priceless. You can find many derp pictures of her online – Tumblr ~ – and GIFs of her on television saying something stupid. Hyojoo tends to express herself a little too bluntly and truth be told, some of the stuff she says makes you wonder if she’s sane. She often blurts out gibberish which only her brother can understand like “Trouser pineapples” or “Crippled Meese”. People often forget that she isn’t a machine (LOL EXO: she’s a MA MA MA MA MACHINE, she’s a MA MA MA MA MACHINE ~). Sure she likes to work but it doesn’t mean she’s all that serious of a person. Sometimes it’s what’s best about her though, her ability to make the worst of all situations seem ridiculous. This does get out of hand sometimes though when she doesn’t like a certain individual. Her jokes become mockery and it becomes quite obvious that she is intentionally hurting their feelings. She’s just mean that way.

Hyojoo is a petty person. She worries and gets worked up over the smallest things whether it’s things that annoy her or when she’s trying to help. All those trivial and insignificant things that no one really cares to bother about get taken care of by her because she just doesn’t let things go like that – which also makes it obvious that she also holds grudges. As stated above, she isn’t someone you want on your enemies list. She is liked by too many people that you know she’ll have back up everywhere and she can be very hurtful. Needless to say, if she holds a dark grudge against you, you may as well raise a white flag and walk the plank. Not only will you lose a lot of credibility for upsetting the young mother of KPop, but you will also suffer the wrath of fanboys and fangirls from all over the world. When Hyojoo gets upset at someone, it is very evident. She herself can’t even hide these feelings of dislike when she’s in public. Not everyone is perfectly nice, and perhaps this is one of her slightly bad attributes since she plays victim whenever they’re live with someone she doesn’t like.

She loves music more than anything. Hyojoo isn’t a particularly talented girl at anything. Her studies are average, her dancing abilities still need a lot of work and contrary to her brother she isn’t all that physically active. The only things she excels in are organizing things and keeping people on time and on track. Of course everyone has one great talent and that one talent is singing. She has been singing since she was a kid, she has done various musicals at school – lead role and audience favourite – which of course makes it obvious she’s also a decent actress. She isn’t an actress that could win you over with heartfelt scenes but she can play a role as instructed – she just isn’t capable of going beyond that yet. Her passion and her life pretty much revolved around music, her brother and organizing.

In terms of organization, Hyojoo has a notebook for just about everything, an agenda for different things and has colorful sticky notes, pens and highlighters to organize everything. She isn’t particularly a neat freak since she only really likes to organize her day. She even has the member’s days organized. They always report back to her when they find out they have plans so that she will know where every one of her kids are. If you look at her side of the room, you’ll see the bed’s not made, there are plush animals everywhere and she is always missing hair elastics, bobby pins and head bands. Hyojoo tends to lose things easily which is why she keeps all her organizers in one backpack – she transfers what she needs into the one she is using and puts everything back when she comes home.

Hyojoo is overprotective of her brother. She never liked it when he went out, and absolutely hates the fact that he’s such a player. Hyojoo likes to give people respect they deserve – meaning if she doesn’t think they deserve her respect, she won’t give it – and feels it is really disrespectful how Suyeol just lures women in with the Oh family charms he inherited. Of course Hyojoo is equally as charming, she and her brother utilize their charms differently. Hyojoo likes to charm people to get her way and succeeds, but at the same time she likes to make friends and fans so she uses it for the group as well – to make the public enjoy Miroir as one. She thinks Suyeol uses his charms for selfish reasons and though she loves him the way he is, sometimes wishes he’d lighten up on the flirting. She isn’t really into flirting. She actually finds flirting and dating one of the more unnecessary things in life. It isn’t like she hasn’t dated before. It’s because she has dated that she realized she wasn’t all that inclined on going out with people. That changed though when she met her boyfriend when she entered SM. She spent a lot of her time with him – still does – and if you looked into her schedule, you’d see most of it is in pink which is the colour she reserved for him.

Hyojoo has a motherly intuition. She seems to be able to sense when something’s wrong which is what makes her so loveable within the group. She even knows how to cook everyone’s favorite dishes and loves to watch them eat happily. “If they’re enjoying the food I cook, I’d be willing to cook it hundreds of times on the same night for them.” Is something she says very often when asked about dorm life and what her role is. In general she’s in charge of cooking and washing dishes – she volunteered for dish washing since she knows no one likes to do the dishes. She’ll pick up the dirty socks on the floor and throw them onto the proper beds. She knows when to pry and when not to. If she feels it’s something really big then she’ll pry – kind of makes her a hypocrite since she says she doesn’t like when people into her business. She is a very comforting person who will take you under her wing when you are feeling low or at your lowest. They say she’s like an angel sent down from heaven for being so caring. With this being said, she is very stubborn. She won’t give up on someone when they’re down, she does everything in her power to cheer them up which in turn makes her easily manipulated. Hyojoo doesn’t like to be manipulated – evidently, no one does – and so, those who abuse her kindness and take advantage of her will suffer.

If you had asked Hyojoo before, she’d say that romance is dead and all that corny stuff that couples do is lame and stupid. But then she met Baekhyun. He went out of his way all the time and was the epitome of the corny cheesy boyfriend. Now, she still thinks is stupid, and she often gets embarrassed by his actions though she really does appreciate it all. Along with all of her notebooks and agendas, she has a large journal that she spends at least an hour writing in every night that’s only for her eyes. It’s pretty much the only way she is able to express her inner feelings that she doesn’t want to share. Not even Baekhyun has access to this. Her band mates respect her enough to keep out of it, and her brother knows very well to stay out.

History: 

Hyojoo grew up rich and still is rich with parents that always work. Her brother and she had always been extremely close – she served as a mother figure and is used to babying Suyeol – they never kept secrets from each other. Suyeol and Hyojoo were known very well at school, and were both very popular.

In school, Hyojoo never really liked to interact with others outside of school. Sure she liked having plenty of friends, but when they asked her to go out, she’d often say no. She was very busy all the time, and when she did have time for them, she never really understood what their version of fun was. Drinking and partying all the time wasn’t fun to her so she tried to avoid all of that. It wasn’t that she didn’t like to go out, it was she didn’t like to go out with them. She loves walking around the mall, not walking around a club.

Hyojoo – as popular as she was – also had many enemies. Not everyone who says they get along with her got along with her. She particularly hated a girl named Kaitlin Kim. She warned her brother from the start not to fall for a girl like her but he didn’t listen to her – blinded by love is what she called it – and got his heart stomped on by the cruel . It is a secret that she hasn’t told anyone – though really, she has many secrets – that she went out the night her brother went home and cried himself to sleep in her lap. She had gone out and called Kaitlin to a park. Kaitlin had always thought of Hyojoo as a friend. She liked her because she was popular and being friends with her would make her popular too. Hyojoo told her flat out how much she hated her guts and that she would pay for what she had done to her brother. Of course Kaitlin didn’t listen and never apologized to Suyeol. A few days after that, teachers were lead to her locker where a large bag of weed was, and photos she sent to Suyeol’s friend had been spread everywhere. No one ever found out who planted the weed in her locker – no one thought it was placed there and thought it was just there – and no one knew who got a hold of the phone that sent the photos. This part of her past is buried away in her massive journal.

Leaving to Korea was an easy task for Hyojoo. She didn’t have anyone she’d particularly miss and really, she hoped that leaving would help her brother. When they got to Korea, she was taken aback by a boy. Now, usually boys didn’t concern her. She had gone through her fair share of boys and none of them really served as a great purpose in her life so she never really took any interest in them. This boy though was singing quietly to himself when they passed each other on the street. You usually think love at first sight but for her it was love at first sound. She didn’t even get to see his face, he just passed by singing. She got to see the back of his head…he had brown hair. That wasn’t much to work off of.

When she took Suyeol to audition for SM, she never intended on joining. She wanted to become a musician but she didn’t feel she was ready – mostly because the judge with the enormous mole dead center in the middle of her chin scared the daylights out of her – so she didn’t audition. In the waiting room, she and Suyeol sat waiting for his number to be called. She saw someone walk into the room. Immediately the girls were whispering to each other about him.

“My name is Byun Baekhyun. I am a trainee set to debut and I’m here to give words of encouragement and advice.” The actual idols under SM were too busy to come in so they had trainees come talk to the crowd. He was asked by an audience member to showcase a bit of his talent, and that’s when she knew it was him. The boy on the street with the brown hair and beautiful voice.

She ran to get an audition form and decided to audition for SM, blindly following him into SM so he could be near him. It started with a small infatuation but then he entered the room to replace the mole woman which made it even more terrifying than having the mole woman there.

Trainee years weren’t totally terrible. Not many people liked her like people usually did, but that’s because she became friends with Baekhyun. Baekhyun became her best friend when he found her after her audition to talk to her about music. Hyojoo really doesn’t give a crap about what anyone says so it never really mattered to her. She took the whole “you got in ‘cause you’re pretty” as a compliment and laughed at them when she debuted after a mere year and a half of training.

Relation to your character:

Thought the two of them keep quiet around each other, they have a mutual understanding that they should silently enjoy each other’s company. Hyojoo always takes care of her father’s hands because he is always getting hurt. She mends them and whenever she goes home, she will bring him his favorite Mandugwa that both of them love though Suyeol hates it. Their family interactions usually get spoiled when Eunhye steps into the house but they ignore her and enjoy their desert and a scowling Suyeol who doesn’t get desert.

Eunhye can be described as a difficult and hardheaded woman. Though the two of them are really alike, Hyojoo and Eunhye don’t talk, though they don’t have a bad relationship like Suyeol and Eunhye do. Though the mother and daughter are very similar, Hyojoo possesses something Eunhye doesn’t. Motherly intuitions. Eunhye just wasn’t cut out to be a mother, she doesn’t like to deal with pressure and is quite unwilling to work with others to solve problems and is more or less always focused on herself over anyone else.

Relation to your character:

Eunhye and Hyojoo don’t talk. For being irresponsible and not taking care of the family like she had always wished she would. Because of this though, she is thankful that she picked up her place because it had brought her to where she is now. She doesn’t address her mother by mother rather she calls her Eunhye-ssi. When people ask her about her mother, she tells them that she doesn’t have a mother she considers a mother. Her definition of mother is someone who takes care of the family and is always there to listen.

Hyojoo is extremely protective of Suyeol. She doesn’t like it when he goes out, she doesn’t like it when he flirts with girls and he absolutely hates it when she doesn’t know where he’s going. It isn’t fair that she feels this way and tells him since he keeps his feelings in about how he feels about her spending the majority of her time with Baekhyun. She would do anything for her brother and he knows that. He wants her to be happy and is aware that she’d even break up with Baekhyun for her, but because he knows it’s her first love he doesn’t want her to be unhappy because of him. He’d feel better if Baekhyun broke up with her – that gives him an excuse to beat the crap out of him for all the time he has stolen. Suyeol wants to spend time with his sister, but she always has her schedule full of Baekhyun. In truth, Suyeol had once taken a peak at her journal – she doesn’t know and if she did she’d probably kill him – somewhere in the middle where all he could see was “Today, Baekhyun bought me Baby’s Breath” “Baekhyun took me out to celebrate our __ week anniversary” and other related things that made him want to barf at how grossly dedicated he thinks the guy is to his sister. He’s glad that she’s happy but she feels as if she’s forgetting about him.

Baekhyun can be described as confident and hilarious. He, Chanyeol and Sehun are the funniest members in EXO and always do silly things that are caught on camera whether they know it or not. He is passionate about singing and loves music just as much as Hyojoo does. Baekhyun does everything from aegyo to y lip . The guy know no limits. He is an epic romantic, and is so cheesy that it hurts. He goes all out for everything and is the type that gets jealous easily. He is a beautiful singer and could make your knees turn to jelly when he sings. He loves to talk and is a bit of a chatter box in that sense. He loves to lighten dark moods and is always found being the nice guy who cares a bit too much.

How he/she acts around your character:

The two started off as just close friends. They became friends through their similar love for music. He and she go out frequently to shop and walk around in the streets. They didn’t care about paparazzi because they thought it was no big deal that two best friends were hanging out. Baekhyun and Hyojoo liked each other. It was quite obvious that Hyojoo liked Baekhyun since she was infatuated with his voice, but no one expected that he would like her back. He confessed during the EXO showcase when they sang Angel which surprised fans since they didn’t expect it. Usually people don’t go all out like that just for a dating confession – some don’t even go that far for marriage proposals. But being the corny buttface he is, he asked for permission and went ahead with his plan. She teases him by calling him Bacon and they often just hang around the EXO dorm if the weather isn’t good. Sometimes they purposely act really lovey dovey to gross out the other members – unknowingly hurting Kris in the process since neither are aware of Kris’ feelings – and often find themselves having tickle wars. Baekhyun always chooses these obscure horror films that no one has ever heard of so that she won’t be suspicious when he tells her the movie choice. He likes it when she holds onto him so he does what he can so that she’ll continue to hold him. In public, Hyojoo gets embarrassed by the PDA that Baekhyun gives her, not because she doesn’t like it but because of all the attention it draws. It sickens even the Miroir members how they act together minus a few who think it’s cute. Hyojoo isn’t aware that Suyeol hates Baekhyun and Baekhyun doesn’t tell her because he knows how much Suyeol means to her. Baekhyun is the one person who knows absolutely everything about her. She never keeps things from him. Things that she doesn’t tell Suyeol, she’ll immediately tell Baekhyun which is perhaps why Suyeol feels so threatened by Baekhyun. The two of them take selcas for Twitter all the time and they pretty much have pictures pinned to their walls that covers all the space visible in their bunk’s wall section. She has a ring that he gave her when on their first Christmas together as friends that she never takes off though he offers to give her a new one since that one is old and sort of cheap, she refuses because it’s the first gift he ever gave to her that wasn’t food, and she cherished it for that reason. They often spend their time writing lyrics and composing songs together when they have time around the company. EXO’s song Baby Don’t Cry was actually written by the two of them though the song wasn’t released on the mini album.

Personality:

Taeyeon is everyone’s favourite dorky ahjumma. She is SNSD’s mother – despite Sunny being voted best mommy on Hello Baby – and although she’s a dork, she has a mature side of her that is able to handle just about any and all situations. She is publically loved by just about everyone and it seems as if no one can hate her – she’s just too loveable. Her dorky laugh, her lame jokes, her motherly skills and her beautiful voice come together to make not only a great woman but a wonderful leader.

How he/she acts around your character:

Taeyeon and Hyojoo are quite similar and can confide in each other all the time. Taeyeon and Hyojoo have girls’ days whenever both of them are off which is rarely, so Hyojoo even ditches Baekhyun for this type of day. Taeyeon is her mother figure since she doesn’t consider her own mother as her mother, she has Taeyeon to comfort and listen to her. Hyojoo thinks of Taeyeon as family and could never let her get hurt.

Personality:

Siwon is a very religious man. Oh how the Siwon stereotypes make Hyojoo laugh. It is true that Siwon is religious, and yes he does constantly try to change her faith but there are other sides to Siwon other than Shisus. Siwon is a gentleman and has very amazing manners. He is very dedicated to his fans and goes out of his way to please them on Twitter. Siwon loves to be on stage, but also loves to be in front of the camera. It’s almost as if he was destined for this career. He likes to work out and keep fit – healthy, really – and show it off. Hey, even the most religious man can have his guilty pleasures, his is just walking around without a shirt on.

How he/she acts around your character:

Siwon and Hyojoo are very playful. They have a close bond – bothers Baekhyun a bit though he denies it – and the two of them can often be found chatting in the lobby as they leave for their schedules and always meet up in the mornings for early breakfast, laughing about dorm stories that they share. Siwon and Hyojoo rarely get to hang out aside from the morning so they like to enjoy their breakfasts in peace without distractions. Yes, distractions meaning Suyeol coming in to mooch of their food.

He is responsible and quite caring to say the least which has made him very popular not only amongst his fellow SM idols but amongst fans young and old.

How he/she acts around your character:

Kris and Hyojoo became friends after she got lost trying to look for Baekhyun – before they dated. Kris had liked Hyojoo and is jealous that Baekhyun got to her first. The two of them are still very good friends though Hyojoo is completely in the dark about his feelings for her. He does everything he can to help her and is always honest to her – when it doesn’t come to his feelings anyways. He tries to be happy for the couple but avoids them whenever they’re together to avoid jealousy. He remembers all the important things like her birthday and the Miroir comebacks so he can give her a lily. Kris sometimes even tags along with Suyeol whenever he goes to steal food from Siwon and Hyojoo’s morning get togethers.

Reason for rivalry: Luna and Hyojoo started with a friendly competition between the two that didn’t even count as competition. They are often battling in singing and that was about it. It only started getting worse when Baekhyun and Hyojoo’s relationship was announced to the media. It was almost as if Luna was jealous. It seemed trivial so Hyojoo ignored it – she thought that BaekLun didn’t exist so it didn’t matter to her. Luna was once her friend until she realized that she kept making her advances on her boyfriend behind the scenes. She was upset and confronted her about it in which she denied everything, it was actually Kris who warned Luna off of his fellow EXO member, not wanting Hyojoo to get hurt – in the process hurting himself. Hyojoo lost trust in Luna after hearing what Kris had to say and from there it seemed as if the two competed for the camera whenever they could. She practices her high notes so that she can beat Luna at singing and it angers her to the bone that she had lied to her about not liking Baekhyun. If she did, she wouldn’t have minded, but it’s the fact that she went behind her back to try to break them up that bothered her. Of course it comes with Hyojoo being petty that she holds this grudge whereas Luna just gave up on trying to make up with her and just acts nice to her so she won’t be in with people who love her.

How do you two act around each other?:

The two started off as just close friends. They became friends through their similar love for music. He and she go out frequently to shop and walk around in the streets. They didn’t care about paparazzi because they thought it was no big deal that two best friends were hanging out. Baekhyun and Hyojoo liked each other. It was quite obvious that Hyojoo liked Baekhyun since she was infatuated with his voice, but no one expected that he would like her back. He confessed during the EXO showcase when they sang Angel which surprised fans since they didn’t expect it. Usually people don’t go all out like that just for a dating confession – some don’t even go that far for marriage proposals. But being the corny buttface he is, he asked for permission and went ahead with his plan. She teases him by calling him Bacon and they often just hang around the EXO dorm if the weather isn’t good. Sometimes they purposely act really lovey dovey to gross out the other members – unknowingly hurting Kris in the process since neither are aware of Kris’ feelings – and often find themselves having tickle wars. Baekhyun always chooses these obscure horror films that no one has ever heard of so that she won’t be suspicious when he tells her the movie choice. He likes it when she holds onto him so he does what he can so that she’ll continue to hold him. In public, Hyojoo gets embarrassed by the PDA that Baekhyun gives her, not because she doesn’t like it but because of all the attention it draws. It sickens even the Miroir members how they act together minus a few who think it’s cute. Hyojoo isn’t aware that Suyeol hates Baekhyun and Baekhyun doesn’t tell her because he knows how much Suyeol means to her. Baekhyun is the one person who knows absolutely everything about her. She never keeps things from him. Things that she doesn’t tell Suyeol, she’ll immediately tell Baekhyun which is perhaps why Suyeol feels so threatened by Baekhyun. The two of them take selcas for Twitter all the time and they pretty much have pictures pinned to their walls that covers all the space visible in their bunk’s wall section. She has a ring that he gave her when on their first Christmas together as friends that she never takes off though he offers to give her a new one since that one is old and sort of cheap, she refuses because it’s the first gift he ever gave to her that wasn’t food, and she cherished it for that reason. They often spend their time writing lyrics and composing songs together when they have time around the company. EXO’s song Baby Don’t Cry was actually written by the two of them though the song wasn’t released on the mini album.

Dates

Baekhyun and Hyojoo go out all the time. It’s usually on their own free time like after schedules are over they’ll just leave together to walk around the city before returning home

Texting

Hyojoo and Baekhyun can literally text until the sunrises, and they do until one of them falls asleep which is usually Hyojoo. He texts her every morning at around the same time when he knows she’s awake so that he’ll be the first to say good morning to her. Even when they’re working on set, their phones are kept close to text the other.

Dorm Visits

She usually visits the EXO dormitory rather than Baekhyun going over since it’s more convenient not to bother the Miroir members. When they’re at the dorm they usually just cuddle to watch movies and play around until the other members get home or get sick of them and leave.

Sneaking Out

When the members think she’s just with Taeyeon having a sleepover at the SNSD dorm, she has developed a habit of going with Baekhyun to Han River. They dress as disguised as possible – their relationship is open but meeting at night is a definite no, no – so they won’t be noticed by even passersby. The next morning she’ll be home at six in the morning so she can prepare for breakfast with Siwon. Usually the members just assume she’s at Taeyeon’s…but they start to get suspicious when she disappears while Taeyeon and the other SNSD members are in Japan.

Scene requests: Nope. I actually would kind of like to see the OC Kaitlin come looking for Suyeol and Hyojoo can be all like “ PLEASE, YOU BETTER CHECK YOSELF BEFO YOU WRECK YOSELF. GET OUT.” And yeah…
