blind for one night
OMG! yesterday was so much fun!
I got my last birthday present from my parents which was a dinner in the dark.
So we got there around 18:30 pm and had a little introduction: there were 2 blind waitresses that would take care of us during the evening and man and a woman that would entertain us (they were pretending to be moles...a couple at that)!
first thing we got each of our names in braille (that´s the lettering blind use) and then we were lead into the dark by the waitresses.
Honestly I got a bit scared and claustrophobic when we entered the dining room/hall/...(I still have no clue how big or small the room was) and sat there while the "couple" was talking about that his mother-in-law would visit and they were telling how fat she was etc.
The first dish was a soup (lentils, tomato, orange, celeriac...at least that was what we thought).
Then came a short game where we were given random objects to feel and guess what it was. Soon after the main dish was served: swabian noodles with bacon/cream sauce and vegetatian dumplings.
For desert there was some Jogurt, cherry, almond chocolate dish.
and in the end we should draw the person opposite to us XD
hilarious, I tell you. my fingers are still painted in the weirdest colours!
Oh! the beverages!!^^ you had to pay drinks with stones in a little bag that you were given at arrival. in each bag there were 15stones, each stone was worth 50ct.
It was SO much fun! seeing nothing at all was very strange at first but become very aware of yourself and your surroundings.
Our guess was that we had stayed about 90minutes in the dining room... WE WERE SO SHOCKED when we took a glance at our watches!
three hours had passed!! O_o
that was about the strangest thing... I suppose the presence of clocks and watched and mobile phones does something to our feeling for the time.
Just wow!
I enjoyed it so much!^^ Will remember this and see the world a bit differently now!
