Han Serra is a country bumpkin. In other words, she is a clueless girl who lives in the province. Other than the fact that she is very clueless, she also doesn’t know what is happening in the cities; she doesn’t even give a little time to think about living in these cities. She’s too attached to nature that she doesn’t even know a thing about modern technology. But with a curious mind, she always tries to discover new things about her surroundings because it’s the only thing she can do to gain knowledge since she stopped going to school after she graduated grade school. It’s not like she doesn’t want to study, it’s just that her family can’t afford the tuition anymore since their only source of livelihood is farming and it’s not going too well.

 Amidst of her interest in going to school being rejected, she still finds happiness in her family and in farming. Yes, she is a very optimistic girl when it comes to planting and discovering things but when it comes to technology she turns into an ignorant person with no knowledge, whatsoever about it. She just didn’t have enough experience with technology, that’s why when she encounters technology, even the simplest kind; she wouldn’t know what to do with it or how it works.

 One time when she visited her sick aunt in some city to take care of her, she though that the toilet was some kind of well with water. She didn’t know how to turn on a fan and ended up using a paper to fan herself. It’s not only her who’s clueless when it comes to techy stuff, her younger brother and parents are the same but she’s the worst.

When I told you she has a curious mind, I mean she really has a curious mind to the point that her fingers almost detached from her hands when she placed it inside a plowing machine used in their farm. Good thing, she took it out quickly before she completely lose a finger. The incident imprinted a scar on her index finger.

She has always dreamed of being a scientist but what could a 19 years old, grade school graduate could do? Her dreams are just too far away from her but that doesn’t stop her doing her best to achieve it.

In her times of sadness or happiness she would always talk to plants as if they are humans who can talk back. She is easily disturbed when she sees someone destroying plants or polluting.  When she sees people who are like that she will give them a Rue plant seed and ask the person to plant it. She wants people to see that plants are important and like humans, they are also alive, helping us live. Without plants the balance of the earth will be disrupted.

Aside from planting she loves to cook and clean; checking every detail to make sure everything is perfect. She gets paranoid when she sees someone or something unclean and disorganized. Yes, she is a perfectionist and a clean freak. She loves it when she makes new friends; she always treasures her friends because she doesn’t have plenty of friends due to the lack of population in the countryside.

background: Han Serra is from a poor family, residing in the country side as farmers. She’s very close with her family and would always help them in any way she could. The profit of her family is not enough for her and her brother to go to school. Unlike her brother, who doesn’t care if he stopped going to school or not, she’s concerned about this because she has deep affections for learning. To distract her from sulking over not going to school, she started to help in farming and also started to learn by experiencing stuff. It actually worked for a while. She vowed that she wouldn’t let go of any opportunity for her to study. When she was nineteen, her parents informed her that she could finally go to a school in Seoul. At first she was hesitant because she didn’t want to go away from her family but in the end, she accepted it.

Brother: Han Min Jun (13 years old) He is very annoying and lazy. He seldom helps in the farm but when he does, he would be very helpful. He is also very sweet to her sometimes.

He finds Serra very funny because she’s naïve and she always has a question to ask. He’s Gentle, caring and is very generous. When he sense someone is in danger he would help the person in any way. He met Serra when he was strolling in the school’s garden and found her talking to plants.

Relationship: Friend

Chen is D.O’s friend and he’s often with D.O. Like D.O he’s also helpful, generous and nice but he has his own secretive way to help people. He would hide the fact that he was the one who helped the person because he’s too shy and doesn’t talk too much. He got interested in Serra after seeing her talking with D.O. They first met when he accidentally killed some of Serra’s plant friends with his lighting. He called Lay right away to heal them.Sometimes he sees Serra crying in the garden talking to plants and he would comfort her by singing to her some songs.
