However, this fic will not be updating for a while. I am leaving for a month in the summer, and I’m preparing updates for that time while I’m gone. I’m also working on multiple things right now. 

Another important thing I wanted to talk about is what inspired me to write this story itself. Now, it’s no secret that the story takes place in a mental hospital. I’ve been wanting to write something like this for quite a while. I had it all planned out, and I was going to post the first chapter a while ago. 

But then my best friend of 7 years was admitted to mental hospital. And I just lost all ambition to write it. I wanted to scrap the whole thing. I was so upset that I didn’t feel like I could possibly write it well. But after a few weeks, my friend finally was able to call me. 

We talked for a long time. She said she was doing well and that she was happy, and she detailed all the things she did there. I learned a lot of new things that I had never known. And after she hung up, I realized I wanted to write the story now more than ever. 

I hope to incorporate a lot of the things she told me into my fic. The story is very personal to me because it talks about a lot of problems that I had, but, at the same time, it’s is also about her. 

So be patient. I promise it’s coming. And I hope it’ll do her justice.
