Collab Fics

Guys, how do you make a collab fic? I mean, how do you share the work load? How do you divide the plot? And a lot of other things. Can you give me tips? Please? I need it. I'm trying to make a collab fic with my friend but we don't know how to do it or how to start with it. Please help?

Well I'm writing a collab story right now. And we worked out the full plot and we are just going off that. I wrote the prologue and now we are just adding chapters left and right, adding taking away some things from each chapter that the other wrote. It is fun.

Well when me and this author did it, we basically just split up the chapters. We would plan it out first through messages, but we basically let each other have the freedom to elaborate on the plot the way they want to. It's fun! ^^

Well, collab fics should be fun in the first place. There aren't rules about deviding the work whatsoever. It's like this:let's say you write a story and you have a co-author. And at some point you're just too busy to write. You pass your idea to the co-author and the details about the chapter that you had in mind. Then she can write it. Or if you're out of ideas, you can let the co-author continue with a personal idea. It's all up to you, but this is the way I work with my co-author and we pretty much make an awesome team :)
