Ratings? I just don't get it!

Okay, someone tell me why Love Rain's ratings are low. I come back from boarding school and I was really excited to see the drama. And the drama is beautiful but I'm reading articles about how low the ratings are or how Fashion King beat Love Rain or how both dramas aren't doing that well. The question is

WHY???

I mean...how do they count ratings? Is it just TV views in Korea? Love Rain and Fashion King seem to be pretty popular on mysoju or epdrama or all those other sites where you can watch dramas for free with eng subs. But, that's the intenet so I guess it's different but WHY???

Why is it that it can be popular online but the ratings are low? Someone please don't accuse me of being stupid for not knowing why. I just wanna know other people's opinion about this. I'm so sad right now.

Actually I couldn't careless about drama ratings as long as for me it's good. But Yoona DOES care and she said she would be lying if she weren't disappointed. So, I want Yoona to be happy but how can she when the ratings are low? I agree the drama is quite slow but HELLO? It's a melodrama so isn't it suppose to be that way?

I seriously hope the ratings go higher.

They count ratings by how many people are actually watching on TV and the internet when the episode is broadcasted. Meaning when fans like us watch translated versions all of that doesn't count. It's basically based on the ajummas that are controlling the TV. And we all know the end to the 70th to some there really is know point in watching that part since it's going to be a sad ending. I know a lot of people only watched for the sake of Yoona and Geunsuk. And then there is the fact the plot is fairly simple. I guess now a days people like more complex plots and dramas they can relate to.

On the positive side the rating views have increased for LR so let's hope the best for them.

Although i'm a huge fan of Yuri, i would say that i preferred love rain better than fashion king. I guess love rain started out in slow pace like in the 1970s or something. I believed that after a few more episodes, the ratings are gonna get better and better! Cheers! :)

People want love to go fast and don't understand that love should take time. I hate when dramas are rushed so I like Yoona's drama. And I like Yuri's drama too. But I guess people in Korea are more into historical dramas lately

don't worry, the ratings in the 3rd episode increased by .3 percent. if you really think about it. Love Rain's two competitors aired before Love Rain so it's natural for those who followed the other two to keep up with it.
Yuri's drama, though, is doing very good. I'm so proud of her <3
