School is like, literally ruining my internet social life xD I guess its my own fault for procrastinating with my HW by going on AFF...... but STILL!! I'd rather read fanfictions than their stupid "State standard assigned books"!!!!! >_____>

Not to mention my MOM keeps ing at me about not finishing my homework early enough.... and yelling at me for spending too much time on the computer. I tell her I'm reading, and she says "That's not real literature!!!"

Psh, please, its much more educational than freaking Edgar Allen Poe. (Not that I don't like Poe, he's insane and i like insane people....) I feel like I learn more about the Korean culture from reading fanfics and more about the Japanese culture from (some) animes, then I do with American history from my assignments!!!

I'm not saying school isn't important, and I'm not just complaining because I'm stupid (I have a goddam 3.8 GPA, and I'm 14 xD Don't you dare tell me I'm stupid >:D), I'm just so ING SICK OF IT!!!

How about, instead of learning English, Math, History, and Science, we learn about things that will HELP us survive these AWFUL economic times, where its extremely difficult to find a job!? Why don't we write plays, books, newspapers, etc. instead of Analytical Essays?!? I don't see people making livings off of analytical essays. Why don't we learn how to prepare for the future, rather than REDOING (practically) our entire history?! Why don't we learn how to create machines and medicines that will possibly save lives in the future, instead of sitting in a class and memorizing freakin Chemistry formulas and whatnot...

I know, I'm just a naive child that knows nothing.

I have the right of speech, don't I? 

I think the only teacher that GETS this stuff is my history teacher. He (obviously) still teaches us the state standards n whatnot, but he does it in a way that we learn REAL WORLD SKILLS.

WHY cant other teachers be like that?!??

My friend told me yesterday that when she went to the orthodontist, she brought her math homework and they asked "What are you doing?" she answered "Slopes, graphing, pythagoreans theorum, and the quadratic formula".

They told her "Do the teachers know that you will NEVER use those in the future?"

Even ADULTS (that dont have children in middle/high school) agree that the stuff we learn wont help us! Yes, I know we need to know this to get a numerous amount of jobs, but not like.... freaking QUADRATIC formula!! Were not gonna be mathematicians!
I can see how you'd use slope.... if you were an engineer or construction person thingy...... >_>

now excuse me, I have to go do my math hw.... FML
