Background: SunYe and Ki Sun was raised by their grandparents, as they lost their mother when Ki Sun was born and their father suffered from a health condition that kept him bedridden almost all of the time. In 2007, their grandfather passed away. On Ki Sun's birthday in 2009, their father was rushed to the intensive care unit after his condition turned for the worse. SunYe, who was promoting in USA, rushed back to Korea and miss a lot of promotions to be with her father, along with Ki Sun and their grandma. SunYe decided to teach Ki Sun English during that period of time. On June 23, 2010, Ki Sun and SunYe lost her father to the chronic illness he had been suffering from for over 20 years.
