Jihu has always felt people underestimate him because he has a "sweet, kind" face. How could anyone who looks so young and sweet be anything but? People often mistake him as being a naive boy who needs to be babied and taken care of. That is faaaaaaaar from the truth. When things are flying around, people are shouting, and fires are firing? Jihu looks around, sighs, pushes his hair back, and gets to work. Lemons out of lemonade or something like that. Jihu is not shy. He's not scared of problems. He powers through them head first without turning back. He has always been self assured and confident. 

Jihu has a very solid mind of his own and very strong opinions. He's a force to be reckoned with once crossed and that also means if you cross people he likes. He's very protective naturally, always stepping up and in when he thinks there's some injustice happening. Jihu has always been a champion for the underdog. He is prone to being rather too straight-forward though, so he used ot get into a lot of verbal fights. He's grown from that and has learned that while he can be honest and righteous, he's mature enough to recognize that shouting doesn't help. He speaks in very calm tones and addresses problems immediately and at the heart of it. He doesn't beat around the bush. He is the type of person who goes all in on things, so he comes off a bit intense at times, but isn't loud or explosive. His anger is the slow burn sort of kind.

When it comes to how he does things, Jihu doesn't shirk responsibilities just because he's tired or doesn't want to do them. When he commits to something he realyl commits. 

Jihu really is good at keeping the group in check, and by extension others who work with them. Jihu always has, in the back of his mind, the good of the group. Does he scowl sometimes during interviews when someone asks a bad question? Yes. But is he also moving to a new question or otherwise diverting attention to something else less damaging? Yes. He is critical during practice and during performance, but that really is so the others don't have to be. If he takes on that burden, then they don't have to. One less thing his group has to worry about in the rough world of being an idol. Because of his intensity when it comes to work though, he can come off as critical and a little domineering. He doesn't mean to come off as "my way in the right way" but sometimes he gets just a bit too bossy.

 

 

 

BACKGROUND

Jihu's family is weathly. Not quite enough to make him chaebol, but enough that he has never really had any financial issues or worries growing up. His father is a high powered lawyer, his mom a homemaker who's family owns the lawfirm her husband works at, and he has three siblings. Jihu can't tell you anything truly remarkable about his upbringing except for spending most of his childhood until he was fifteen in Sydney, Australia. Since his father was often busy with high profile litigations, Jihu was often helping his mom keep his little siblings in check and taking them to acitvites and things growing up.

Jihu was supposed to be a model or actor. He never thought to be an idol until his company decided they wanted more visibility into the opportunity of the Produce series.

FUTURE ACTIVITIES

Jihu never really gets to being a fantastic vocalist or dancer. He's good in an idol group, but solo debuts or anything similar are definitely not going to happen. What he can do though is being a model for brand sponsorships. He also proves to actually be a decent actor. He first starts in a web series before eventually going to an actual movie or drama. He also potentially lands a spot as an MC on a music show.
