I Hate Family

I give up on family... my family has rejected me coming out as transgender twice now. They have told me outright that they find this disgusting and how it's not normal or against their religion. Now I've got my own mother is telling me about how bad trans people are and worried why I seem upset about it. She then tells me she supports but continues to tell me how bad they are...

I think your family are just probably concern about how society would react and treat you because in general not everybody is that accepting. If they really don't care about you , than your mom probably wouldn't have taken the time to talk to you .

Every parent want the best for their child . It is also their responsibility to tell and teach the children about the good and bad , pros and cons etc ... However, at the end of the day , the decision is still yours to decide because it's your own life .

You should also try to tolerate and understand things from their perspective as well . They just don't want you to go through all the hardship and discrimination because the world out there is totally different. People can be 10times more mean .

Give it some time . Tolerance . No matter what , they're still your family. It's okay to have your own preference but you should also be responsible for your own choices in life .

Live well , have a good stable future of your own. That's probably one way to convince them that you can also be independent in life .
