WRITING RAPS/SONGS　he started taking songwriting classes in 2012 with mark. since then he's been writing all his raps, even for monthly evaluations. he encouraged the rappers in his group for the evalutations to write their own raps because he found rapping other peoples lyrics lame. if they needed help he would always help them or write for them, same with vesper. he didn't start writing full songs until 2017 because he wanted to impress lee sooman and get a spot in nct but rip that.
CHOREOGRAPHING　he started choreographing his own dances for monthly evaluations since 2013, they're mostly hiphop based. he helps with the choreography for vesper songs despite not having the dance position because he's so knowledgeable

REPUTATION　while training at bighit he almost got into a fight with a younger trainee who wasn’t trying and talking about him behind his back. he didn’t care about him talking but he was making the whole group look bad and monthly evaluations was less than a week away. minguk scolded him many times but he still acted nonchalant and said he’s not scared of him. he ended up losing his temper and grabbed him by his collar and threatened him in front of the rest of the trainees. he doesn’t like going that far but it was one of the few times that he really lost his temper. its the story that he's known for and why so many trainees find him scary

 FAMILY 　minguk's overall relationship with his family is good. they're a night knit bunch, if they go a month without hearing from each other they get immediately concerned. even if its once a month, minguk tries to talk to at least his parents.

FATHER / HA SANGCHEOL (52, ENFP)　sangcheol is a huge softie. he isn't as good as keeping up with his family, he won't immediately worry like jisoo if he doesn't hear from any of his kids for a month but he will call them if its been a while. since minguk was a trainee, even minah, he always told them to just come home if it gets too hard. he knows he wants to debut but he thinks enough is enough and its best for him to come home and get a regular job like his sister. minguk loves his dad but he doesn't like talking to him as much because he always mentions that. but if minguk did debut sangcheol would be really proud of him. he secretly admires his son for having so much determination.

MOTHER / JUNG JISOO (54, ESFJ)　minguk mostly talks to his mom out of all his family members. she's the one to call him and fill him in on whatever is happening within the family. she always reminds him to eat enough and get a lot of rest. she demands to facetime him and see his face and body so she can check for any bruises and if he's eating enough. if she sees even one bruise she'll give him a little lecture about taking care of his body that always ends in an i love you. she supports minguk 100% because she knows how much he wanted to debut ever since he was little. she'd probably buy every album and lightstick and show up at their concerts decked out in merch making sangcheol wear a shirt with minguk's face on it. if the boys ever went to ulsan she'd love to make them all a big meal.

OLDER BROTHER / HA MINSEOK (29, ESTP)　minseok is that annoying older brother that is loud and full of himself and constantly made fun of minguk as a kid. he's the first born so minseok got spoiled like crazy when he was younger. even when he was minding his own business dancing with his sister, minseok always had a comment to make and john cena minguk onto the couch. he might be annoying and a huge boy but he actually loves minguk a lot deep down. when minguk debuts he'd be a lowkey huge fan of them. he'd know the whole fanchant and attempt to do the dance when he can't dance to save his life. he'd reply to hate comments on anonymous accounts trying to defend them because how dare antis say something negative about his brothers group. only he could make fun of minguk and no one else and it should stay that way.

OLDER SISTER / HA MINAH (27, ISFJ)　minguk used to be really close with minah, they were inseperable at one point. it was the hardships of training that tore them apart and kept them apart. after their falling out in 2016 they stopped talking completely. of course it hurt them both separately but they never talked about it. their parents tried to get them to speak so many times but they found excuses not to meet too. he hasn't seen her since 2016, for the temporary week that minguk went back to ulsan when he left sm his sister stayed at a friends house instead. after leaving sm she studied theatre at seoul institute of the arts and is a performer in local theatre plays as well as working at a cafe in ulsan. they both miss each other and want to get close again but neither of them know where to start or what to say. if minguk debuts minah would support him quietly. even though they had a falling out she was always proud of him for continuing to chase his dream.

 SM IDOLS 　most sm artists know him, especially the older ones. they remember him as the small kid that used to run around the building and learn dances quickly. he was friendlier back then so he didn't have any bad blood with anyone. he would greet any sm idol comfortably, especially nct and red velvet while members of exo and super junior would ruffle his hair.

 NCT 　minguk is comfortable with almost all of the nct members except for the newer chinese members because of the language barrier. he was more outgoing and ethusiastic back then so even though they were technically competing against each other, they were still friendly and supported each other. they have a lot of memories together, though he had slight jealousy when they debuted whenever he sees them win an award or music show he gets so happy for them and cheers on the sidelines.

MARK LEE (23)　mark was like minguk's best friend while training. since they were both rappers and close to age they got paired up often and had all the same classes. mark was one of his closest friends but also his biggest competition. they worked together but at the end were always pinned against each other. that made their relationship naturally competitive. they tend to make passive aggressive comments about how they'll beat the other in different things. training has made them like that but they're actually really good friends that get lunch together whenever they can.

 STAGE NAME:  MARCUS (마커스) minguk wanted an english name like johnny so he gave him the name marcus. he was excited to debut as marcus but when mark came along lee sooman thought it was too similar so he just used his real name. after leaving sm he was finally able to use marcus instead of the cute minguk that the public used to know.

VOCAL+RAP　MONSTA X'S CHANGKYUN　marcus has a deep voice, since he was little he was more interested in rap than singing. he doesn't consider himself a good singer even though he's quite talented. he has a nice baritone voice and training for so long has allowed him to have a good ear for pitch too. he isn't main vocal material but he can hold a note with no problem, boy won't come out with the high notes though. his rap is the most developed part of him, his rap style is very clean and charismatic.

DANCE　ATEEZ'S SAN　marcus was able to learn dances easily from a young age. being a trainee only improved his dancing, before training he never took any dance classes. he's mostly trained in hiphop dancing and can do minor break dancing. he's very focused on the performace aspect too so his stage pressence is really good. he has good breath control when it comes to rapping after a dance break. whether the dance is fluid or intense popping, he can adapt because training took him out of his comfort zone so much.

 TRAINEE YEARS:  13 YEARS & 8 MONTHS

12 YEARS 1 MONTH (JULY 2007 - AUGUST 2019)　SM ENT　marcus got into sm through the weekly public auditions. he auditioned with his sister and got in but was too young to train full time so he started started out as a part time trainee until june 2009 then started full time training after he graduated primary school. he was known as sm's legendary trainee because he trained so long. he debuted in sm rookies and was expected to join nct, it never happened so he eventually left.

1 YEAR 4 MONTHS (SEPTEMBER 2019 - 2021)　PRISIM ENT　marcus got an offer to join prism after leaving sm. 

 TRAINEE LIFE: 

PART 1: HUMBLE BEGINNINGS AND HIGH HOPES　being a full time trainee and a part time trainee were totally different. at most he'd spend two months in seoul as a part time trainee and since he was younger than everyone else they were more lenient and friendly to him. the yougnest they debuted an idol was boa at 13 but usually it was 14 so when he was a part time trainee they all knew he had a long way to go so he wasn't really in competition with the others. it was more like preparing him to be in competition. but as soon as he turned into a full time trainee the pressure was a lot more serious. he joined sm in the summer of 2009 with excitement and enthusiam ready to see his sisters old friends and make friends his own age for once. but instead the environment was a lot more gloomy and tense than he remembered.

on his first day as a full time trainee he saw minah crying because she didn't make the final lineup to be in f(x). he thought he would definitely debut because in his eyes his sister was one of the best singers and dancers. she was also training for two years already, amber trained for less than her and she made the final lineup. but minguk comforted her by saying they'll debut her in a better group and he truly believed it too. his young brain couldn't comprehend how cut throat the training system really was because he didn't experience it yet. the longer he stayed the more he started to see people who he thought were amazing get torn to shreds at monthly evaluations and next week he never heard from them or saw them again. he originally thought that everyone that became a trainee was secured a debut, as long as you had a dream of being an idol and had some talent then you would become one. but it was so much more to it than he could've ever thought.

minguk was still young so he kept his optimism and love for singing and dancing, but his sister started changing. she no longer felt the joy in it that she used to, instead of it being a fun hobby it stressed her out. minguk saw her have breakdown after breakdown before monthly evaluations and how she overworked her body to impress the staff that barely gave her a compliment. minguk was only 14, he was still one of the younger ones and had a lot of time to improve and debut but minah was already 18. she was competing with the best of the best and any little mistake could get her kicked out and replaced with someone younger. the change in his sister from bright and enthusiastic to irritable and quiet made him sad but it was minguk that kept her going. he'd learn her dances too on top of his just so they could have that feeling of dancing together like they used to. when she would practice until late in the night minguk did his homework in the corner, sometimes even falling asleep on the floor just so she wouldn't be alone. he really believed in her and they were each others strength and it paid off the following year in 2013.

PART 2: THE BEGINNING OF THE END　in 2013 both of them made the final line up for sm rookies and got introduced to the public in december 2013. it felt like all their hardwork was finally paying off and worth it. the judgment they faced was a lot harder now that they weren't just unknown trainees anymore, the expectation on them was really high. they were expected to do everything better than regular trainees since they had the "top priority" in debuting. both of them thought they were on their way to stardom, with redvelvet's debut in the talks minah was one of the main candidates along with seulgi, wendy, irene, and yeri who were all sm rookies too. but last minute they replaced minah with joy who they thought had more appeal. seeing his sister get rejected from debuting again only confused him and made him realize that nothing is set in stone. he put a lot of trust in sm since he's been there for so much of his youth and to see his sister get done dirty made him feel some kind of resentment but he still had hope since it wasn't him, only showing how pure at heart he truly was at the time.

training continued as normal after that. he still sang and danced and rapped everyday but just made appearances on different shows with the other sm rookies occasionally that gradually build his fanbase. everytime he went on stage or on camera little minguk could barely stand still he was so excited, out of all of the boys he was known as the talkative and cute one when he mced with jaehyun for show champion. even when he rapped the mcs just kept commenting on how cute he was. in 2014 minguk joined sr15b, they made their unofficial debut to the world in 2015 with a dance video and were known as the next artists to lead sm. minguk felt his debut was an arms length away, in 2016 nct u debuted. he competed against mark to see who would take the rapper position and mark ultimately won. but since nct was a rotational and ever expanding group and he was included in nct life and the switch mv, his debut had to come eventually which was enough to keep him going. but as the year went by nct127 and nctdream both debuted and minguk wasn't seeing the light of debut.

PART 3: LOSES, CHANGES, AND STAGNATION　that same year his sister decided to leave sm, at 22 she thought she was too old it was almost becoming embarrassing to see younger trainees do better than her when she trained for 12 years. seeing those closest to him debut and leave was hard on him but made him more desperate. his sister told him to leave too because the way sm was, he probably wouldn't debut. he couldn't understand how she would say that when she knew he wanted that more than anything and he was already so close. nct constantly had new members and he knew his moment was coming. he was hurt by his sisters comments, after she went back to ulsan they didn't talk.

in 2017 he finally finished school and just completely focused on training. he never felt so much pressure before not only to debut but because he wanted to prove his sister wrong. he spent a lot of that year being a backup dancer for other idols. lee sooman was selecting possible new members for nct 2018 and minguk put a lot of effort into securing his spot as one of the new additions by showing his loyalty to the company. but once again he was put in the backburner. it was at a point where he didn't know what he was doing wrong and started questioning his own abilities. throughout 2018 he watched as nct rose to success and sm add new members to smrookies. they debuted a new chinese unit that minguk already knew he didn't stand a chance being in because of his pure korean heritage. his friends in nct were off on tour, he heard from his mom that his sister got a regular job back in ulsan. everyone moved on but he was stuck in the same spot seeing people younger that trained for a short amount of time do better than him. ironic because he started to feel the same way his sister did.

PART 4: MOVING ON　in 2019 he made the hardest decision of his life to terminate his trainee contract with sm. he considered going to college and giving up completely but now that sm's legendary trainee was available he got a bunch of offers from agencies. he wasn't known as legendary for his skills but for how long he trained. 12 years at one of korea's best entertainment companies meant that he was molded to perfection. he got offers from yg, jyp, starship, fnc, prism, and cube but took the offer from prism. they ensured him that they wanted to debut a boy group soon and since they were a new company he knew he'd be a priority.

the minguk at sm was completely different from the minguk at prism. everyone knew him as the legendary sm trainee so he had a lot to live up to. instead of being the friendly and optimistic kid he used to be he was 21 and cold. he was one of the older trainees so he didn't have time to waste and took training very seriously. staff at prism always praised him because he was basically flawless from the endless practice that he did on his own but he didn't let that go to his head. he still worked hard no matter how much praise he got, it was like he never took a break and the other trainees looked up to him for that. anyone that was on his team for the monthly evaluations were so happy because they knew they would do well under his leadership since he always took that role. he was hard on them too though, they practiced for hours after everyone else left and minguk was quick to say that anyone who isn't willing to work hard might as well leave now but he refuses to look like an idiot because they didn't put the same amount of effort as the rest of them. he didn't care if they hated him, he didn't care if they talked behind his back, all he cared about was debuting. but thats what happens when you spend your whole youth fighting to achieve your dreams.

 MEDIA PRESENCE:  him being sm's legendary trainee is well known among the public. since he was in sm rookies they have this idea of him being cute and talkative. no one would ever guess he would turn out being the way he is now, old fans that saw him as being nostalgic might prefer how he was before so i can see him losing old fans.

johnny suh, the easy going and friendly guy that gets along with everyone. johnny marches at the beat of his own drum. yes sm has strict rules that he follows, most of the time, but that doesn't stop him from having fun either. he tries to find the light in any situation and eases any tension thats going on because he just wants to have a good time. he's known for his playful attitude always making fun of his friends and having sarcastic comments or stories to tell. just a fun time. but right when you think you know johnny he'll surprise you by doing something unexpected. its almost impossible to read his mind. he can be selfish and do things for the benefit of himself without thinking how it effects others but its never with malicious intent because he still treats everyone with kindness. he flirts with just about everyone, none of the staff are safe from johnny's random flirty yet funny comments and pickup lines, not even the males. not because he's attracted to everyone either, just because he likes the mood to be light and fun. his friendliness makes a lot of people think he likes them when he most likely doesn't, even his ex girlfriends can't hate him because he always makes up for any wrongdoings he commits since he doesn't want any enemies. he really just means well and wants to live a happy life.

 LOVE STORY: 

PART 1: ADMIRATION　minguk never really thought about his uality, since he was so focused on training he never had time for girls. he knew that he found girls and guys attractive but thought that was normal. just because you can admit another guy is good looking doesn't mean you're bi or gay so he didn't take that seriously. he thought he was heteroual most of his life until he met johnny suh. johnny was a part time trainee from 2008 and started being a full time trainee in 2013. the first summer minguk saw johnny back in 2008, he thought he was so cool. the way he dressed was different from others, just so... foreign, and he could speak korean and english so well. everything he did made minguk go woah and he really looked up to him. little minguk always gave johnny a compliment during classes, even for the tiniest things. whenever johnny performed minguk would clap extra loud, he tried to stand next to him during classes, after a while johnny started to notice that he had a little fanboy.

usually trainees stuck with their age group. a three year age difference wasn’t a lot but to a 10 and 13 year old it was. minguk didn’t make friends easily because he was so young, they interacted with him and played with him occasionally but to say he would hang out with them after training, never. he was mostly with his sister and her friends which included other girls in the 1993-1995 line that doted on him. but johnny treated minguk like a younger brother, whenever minguk was around he would include him even though his friends would lowkey complain about it. though he trained during spring break and summer break, minguk looked forward to summer break the most because thats when johnny would be there.

when johnny became a full time trainee in 2013 minguk was really happy to spend more time with him. he just admired johnny and wanted to be around him, anywhere johnny was was a good time and his energy really took away from all the negativity that training could be at times. johnny was 18 in when he became a full time trainee, the maturity level was different than 15 year old minguk who was still naive and childish. johnny started having an interest in girls and became more flirty than before while minguk just wanted to train and have fun. minguk didn’t understand why he hung out with girls more yet but johnny was actually a ladies man on the low and had his fair share of girlfriends. minguk also did his fair share of unintentional ing by randomly showing up and jumping on johnnys back or screaming his name from down the hall when he was having a heart to heart with one of his then girlfriends. johnny was never rude to minguk though, each time he accepted him and smoothly distracted him so he wouldn’t realize what was actually going on.

PART 2: MINAH　when they got into sm rookies they spent a lot more time together, not just them but also minah. minah was protective over her brother, she knew how johnny was a lot more than minguk did. he was flirty and dated her friend for all of 1 month before breaking up with her for someone else so she wasn’t too fond of him. but she saw how much minguk looked up to him and as long as he treated her brother well she was fine with it. her friend got eliminated though and johnny suddenly turned his attention to minah, he always found her pretty since he first joined sm but she never even gave him the bait to bite. however now that they were both in sm rookies and saw each other a lot more he was constantly trying. he knew his reputation wasn’t that great with her and he sensed she wasn’t too fond of him since 2008 so he treated minguk well to win her over. he went out of his way to help minguk more and seem like the best hyung just to be around minah since the two were always together on their down time. when they would practice together late at night, johnny found himself helping minguk with his homework and uses that as an excuses to stay while minah practiced and eventually join her. when minah got eliminated from the red velvet lineup, who was mostly there? minguk and johnny. while it did make her more tolerant and friendly towards him, it definitely didn’t win her over. johnny was hitting all the points to get to minahs heart and date her but she was too determined to work on training and debut instead of get into a relationship. but to minguk, johnny was just a good hyung that was always there when they needed him. he didn’t see his hidden agenda. in the end minah never gave him a chance, johnny dated multiple girls that he didn’t take seriously while on his pursuit to date minah.

PART 3: CHANGES　johnny and minguk’s relationship didn’t change much, as minguk got older he finally noticed that johnny was the flirty type. since he was older he started openly flirting with other girls in front of minguk and bringing minguk along to hang with his friends and other female trainees from different companies. minguk was never interested in them though, its not that they were ugly, they honesty never were but his heart was elsewhere. seeing johnny flirt with other girls made him feel a heaviness in his chest. instead of being present in the moment and talking to the girl he was sitting with, he’d keep taking glances at johnny and just want to drag him away from everyone so he can have him all to himself.

minguk never thought about doing intimate things like kissing and making out with others until he walked in on johnny making out with a trainee from jyp. he stared at him from the doorway for an second until the girl realized and got embarrassed, johnny just casually told him he’ll be out soon and wait for him outside but for the first time minguk felt mad at johnny. johnny interacted with other people all the time so he rarely felt jealous, at least to his knowledge, but seeing that made him feel different. it wasn’t jealously, it was pure rage. he felt betrayed like johnny was his or something. i mean he knew he wasn’t his but he couldn’t help but wonder, why couldn’t it be him instead? minguk tried bringing it up to johnny, what he was doing with that girl. he wanted to know what was so special about her but johnny just dismissed his worries saying that he’ll understand when he gets older. despite him being 17 johnny still saw him as that little kid he used to know. that confused feeling he had didn’t go away though and only worsened the more he thought about it.

minah leaving sm and johnny debuting in nct only happend a few short months apart. losing the two people he was closest to hit him hard. with his sister being gone and johnny barely being around he felt lonely, most of his friends were sm rookies and nct members who either left or debuted. he spent a lot of time alone without them and it was hard. to make it worse whenever minguk thought about johnny, all he could think of is that moment with that girl and the heavy feeling in his chest would come back again but he missed him. for a while minguk put a lot of focus on training and improving himself, the new friends he had weren’t as close as the old ones so he kept his feelings to himself. anything he felt that made him upset only made him want to train more. he still saw johnny a few times and hung out with the nct guys but he could count on his hands how many times that happened with their busy schedule. as any sm group, expectations were high so they had a lot to prove. whenever minguk saw him his face lit up but johnny was always in a hurry he just gave him a quick hey and a hair ruffle and kept going. but it was those moments that made his day and kept him smiling to himself.

but the busier nct got the less they saw each other and eventually they completely drifted apart. minguk didn’t want to be a bother so he didn’t text him often since they usually went unanswered. it seemed that way with all of his friends in nct. it seemed like they just forgot about him and moved on. minguk couldn’t help but feel betrayed but the angrier he got the longer and harder he danced until he basically turned into the cold and strict ex sm trainee that he was known as at prism. even then he occasionally thought about them, seeing them be so happy without him made him resentful. though part of him still wished to see them again and meet them on stage someday, go back to the old days when they were just trainees that were there for each other through thick and thin. it was weird because he knew he was finally going to turn his dream into reality and debut in vesper, but he felt happier when he was a young trainee with debuting only being a hope and dream.

PART 4: REUNITED　after vesper debuted minguk still didn’t hear anything from johnny, not even a congratulations. its not like he was expecting it though since its already been years that they haven’t talked but it still kind of hurt. after debuting minguk got a new trainer, he wanted to focus on bulking up. trainees stayed at the company gym but now that he debuted he went to a well known gym for idols instead. there he bumped into johnny who also worked out there since at night with his trainer after schedules. minguk thought about their meeting a lot, he thought it would be backstage or something though not at the gym so he wasn't prepared. he was ready for an awkward encounter but instead johnny was excited to see him and gave him a big hug which turned minguk's cheeks red but he blamed it on being tired from working out instead. turns out sasaengs are crazy so they have to change their number often which makes it hard to find old friends. minguk just happened to be one of those people whose number got lost. he was at least happy to know he wasn't being ignored. as soon as he saw johnny all the feelings just rushed back again and he felt that admiration he did when he was younger. johnny always said how he barely recognized minguk now since he’s so much skinnier and bulkier.

they started texting again, everytime minguk got a text from johnny he'd smile a little at his phone. s thought he had a girlfriend or something but whenever they asked he'd just go right back to his deadpan look. minguk looked forward to going to the gym though just to see johnny. being with him brought out the light hearted side of minguk and made him feel happy again. he didn't worry about anything else, all he saw was johnny and thats all that mattered in the moment. occasionally when they had time johnny would invite minguk to hang out after or drive him home after their workout sessions. sometimes they'd linger in his car and just talk about old times.

around johnny, minguk completely melts. he becomes a whole simp. his eyes sparkle just looking at him and he's more touchy and giggly than usual. its like he becomes... cute and s almost don't recognize him at all. if he was a girl everyone would think that he's totally crushing but since minguk's seemingly one of the straightest and manliest guys in vesper no one ever suspects anything, just that they're really close. minguk thinks they're just close too but the more they hang out the more he just wants to grab him and kiss him. but johnny still sees him as that little kid he used to know.

 ENDING RELATIONSHIP STATUS:  i have no idea where this is going, i had so many different ideas but didn't know which to choose so in the end i decide to leave it up to you. incase you're not sure what to do here are some ideas i had:

FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS　so many different ways how this could pan out, but the gist is that they become fwb hooking up secretly. i think minguk would kiss him first tbh but anyways minguk takes it a lot more seriously than johnny does. he thinks johnny would want to be in a relationship with him and love him back but :/ maybe not?

JOHNNY'S STRAIGHT　another tragic ending is minguk confesses? and johnny is like woah dude i see you as a little brother and it kind of ruins their friendship or it just becomes awkward for a while then they're fine and minguk just accepts being his little brother.

JOHNNY STILL LIKES MINAH　originally i thought underlying the whole time he would still like minah. maybe he uses minguk to get close to minah still, or to combine two of them they become fwb but johnny uses minguk's love for him to get to minah all over again? or take away the fwb part and johnny convinces minguk to fix his relationship with minah so he could get to her and they start dating. 

THEY END UP DATING　the ultimate happy ending! johnny stops seeing minguk as a kid and falls for him too after hanging out or hooking up or whatever and they date yay.
