BACKGROUND 

daughter of a real estate developer father and retired high-profile supermodel now socialite mother / has an older brother who will be given the heir to their father's real estate company / started modeling as a child, basically her whole career / got into mandela through her father being alumni / hated the fact that she got in due to her father, and also the fact that her brother is taking over the business / pleaded to take a portion of her father's business, he refuses #misogyny / now holds a grudge against her family, got a business degree to pursue her own business

 

esme's mother was estatic once she found out that her child was going to be a girl. it was an exciting moment; in her eyes, she could continue her legacy of modeling. however, esme didn't learn that modeling wasn't her wish until later on.

 

when esme turned six, she had her first modeling gig as a child model. everyone paid attention to the family of four, complimenting and wishing that their child was as beautiful as her. sure, she was gifted with her mother's looks, but there's no doubt that her father's traits would seep into her. once esme got into high school, she knew that this wouldn't be her reality. she wanted to be in charge, and she didn't want her career to end once she grew a wrinkle.

 

she learned that her older brother would take over her father's real estate business. his company was worth millions, and she wanted a of it. it did look greedy and selfish, but she believed she deserved it. after all, she was their model child since birth.

GABRIEL - met gabriel through family relations, he saw her at a high-profile party when they were both 15 / didn't talk much until first year of college / met again at an elective class, gabriel decided to approach her / they clicked, and esme trusted him enough to tell him about her plans of starting a company without her family's help or notice / promised esme that he'll help her fund and build her business, they started dating as a cover-up / dated for 2 years before esme breaks it off after realizing gabriel is an undercover / they supposedly ended it in "good terms" to the public eye, but the public blames the break up on esme who holds a rep of a 'dumb supermodel' / she grew resentful and blamed gabriel for ruining her reputation, but she can't ditch him becus he knows too much about her
