CAIM is a supernatural, slice of life! au, oc-rp, loosely inspired by the hotel del luna series, asian mythology and wuxia novels !

CAIM INN is a hotel, or rather a hotel from a CHAIN of hotels, used as a re-directory for all the souls who have yet to move on. whether it be towards the light, or they simply need a tiny push to start their reincarnation process, caim and its staff is here to help ! set in seoul, korea, it works through all hours of the day, everyday; no breaks nor holidays can stop ‘em. 

caim’s staff consists of cursed beings, from gumihos, to gwisins, to finally reapers, all tasked with the ‘simple’ duty of guiding the restless to peace. the kicker? they must actually work as hotel staff. caim’s owner is a capitalist at heart & soul-

having existed since the 1300s, almost being a ‘family’ business, a 'rule’ has been placed for their staff members; rotations must be done every 100 years. so, if you’ve stumbled upon the same being, 100 years later, in a different hotel, it is due to this. as important as their staff is, caim gives all their employees two options once their 100 years are up; move to another hotel, or, move on into the light. even those that guide deserve to rest.

⤑ we are a mewe based, supernatural roleplay, loosely based / inspired by hotel del luna. this is an OC roleplay / au roleplay, and as such your faceclaim is not an idol within the roleplay.

⤑ roleplay, as such we ask that both our muns (typists), muses and the fcs you’ll be using are *all* . for reference, the youngest we’d accept would be anyone born in august 2001. if we find out that you’ve lied about your age, you will be promptly removed from the roleplay and blacklisted.

⤑ reservations last up to 48 hours. we accept all asian faceclaims from the entertainment industry. if you reserve, please provide us with a password so we know it's you. please note that we do not allow married, the deceased, those who do not wished to be roleplayed and those in heavy scandals, as well as youtubers, influencers etc.

⤑ we do not accept move-in couples. there’s a dating ban of 3 weeks, and a marriage ban of 3 months.

⤑ we do not tolerate bubble roleplaying, clique building, bullying (especially ooc), godmodding, plagarism and overall negative behaviour. our goal is to make this a welcoming and warm community so, if we find out that you’ve participated in any of these you will receive a strike. if you’re bullying another member(s), you will be removed and blacklisted.

⤑ IC =/= OOC. please keep the two separate. with that being said, we understand that IC drama might help some plots move forward, so we do allow it. OOC drama is strictly prohibited. if there is an issue you cannot solve amongst yourselves, the mod team will do their best to mediate. 

⤑ we do not allow rated or triggering posts onto our timeline. should we find you doing so, you will receive a strike. 3 strikes and you’re out.

⤑ we have a point system that’s based on your activity and that lets you unlock a few perks i.e tccs, ccs, semi-hiatuses, hiatuses, room changes, muse changes etc.

✦if you leave the rp without messaging mod, you will be blacklisted.

⤑ due to the nature of our roleplay we do allow mature and dark content within our threads HOWEVER, we ask that the threads that hold triggering topics be put in their respective group.

⤑  plots MUST be moved to private posts.

⤑ racebending is a big no-no, please do not racebend your muses. your application will not be accepted.

⤑ due to the nature of our rp, we do require your muses to have a real age and a presenting age ! for example: muse name, real age: 634, looks like: 27.

⤑ we allow up to two (2) muses. the 2nd muse can be gained after a month of being in the rp, having posted 7 starters, and having 14 active threads. please do not be selective with the activity you show on both muses. if we see that you’re paying attention to one muse only, we will ask you to pick between the two.

⤑ we allow temporary character changes (tcc) and character changes (cc), with a cool-down period of 14 days for tccs, and 21 days for ccs. tccs last a week and ccs are permanent. you can an unlimited amount of tcs, but only 2 ccs.p@ssw0rd: a quote that your muse would relate to / would say.

⤑ you can request a tcc 18 days from your arrival, and a cc 21 days from your arrival.

⤑ due to this being an oc rp, we do require a biography for your muse ! their general details and their backstory must be in it. and we do encourage you to put up a list of plot prompts / sentence starters / wanted connections !

⤑ both semi hiatuses and hiatuses are granted after being in the rp for a month. UNLESS there is an emergency, in which case it is granted immediately.

⤑ semi hiatuses last up to 2 weeks (14 days) - an extension of 5 days can be given if need be. commenting on posts every now and then during your semi-hiatus, and doing at least one sns update is a must. thread replies should be discussed with your thread partners!

⤑ hiatuses last up to a week (7 days) - an extension of 5 days can be given if need be. there is no need to emoji or comment under sns posts, do sns updates, or reply to threads during this period. (do contact your thread partners just in case though!)

⤑ what ever the reason may be, please message our mod team with the dates your semi hiatus/ hiatus starts and ends.

an active timeline is a happy timeline! we require a minimum of 1 sns post on a weekly basis, or rather, your last post cannot be older than 7 days. please note that your posts do not just have to be photos; they can be text posts, polls etc. we encourage all our members to emote and comment as many posts as they can!

as we are a literate rp, we do require a minimum of 5 threads from all of our members. your replies don't have to be novella style; all that matter's is that you keep the plot moving and match your partner's energy!

you do not have to be online 24/7, however we do ask that you're here at least 3 times a week. whether it's commenting, posting or replying to threads, it all counts!

⤑ we will be doing activity checks every 2 weeks. those on semi hiatuses / full hiatuses will not be included in said ac.

inactivity for 6 days will result in the mod team messaging you. if you do not reply within 24 hours, you will be removed from the rp.

upon BEINg accepted into the roleplay, you'll have 48hrs to add mod and set up your profile.

'about me': CAIM 🎐, fc name, timezone.

'city': room name + number

'job': muse's occupation

'company': caim inn - location of muse's occupation.

example: lobby - receptionist.

during your first week, you'll have a quick checklist to complete:

1. accept all the group invites!
2. introductory post in our introductory group (48hrs from being announced!)
3. sns post on day 3 of being in the rp!
4. thread starter (can be open!) on day 5!
5. biography posted by day 7!

⤑ double posting ; we do allow double posting in 24hrs, however! we do ask our members that they do not spam the timeline. we would like to see a variety of faces, after all.
