at first glance, jessica is a scary person. when she doesn't know people or not too well, she tends to be cold towards them. she will never be the type of girl who goes to people first or who spark a conversation with a stranger unless she's being introduced. she is wary of people and it takes a lot for her to be able to give her trust nevertheless, once she sees someone as a friend, she gives everything for their friendship. she will always be loyal.

the most annoying thing about jessica is probably how bossy she is. she likes to have control and can be almost hysterical about that. also, sometimes she can be really cheeky sometimes with words and also with actions. there's nothing that jessica is ashamed of.when something goes through her head, she does or say it no matter how embarrassing it is. but it also means, that she is always honest and will tell things as they are.

jessica likes to be her own person ever since she left her former label with the girls.that means, that she doesn't wait for people to do things with her or for her. she's really independent and it's a quality that allowed her to have more self-confidence than when she was young. sadly because of that she is known to be too proud. she never ask for help even when she needs it because she doesn't want to seem weak or something like that and when she gets into fight with people she loves, she finds it hard to apologize because of her pride.

no matter how much recognize she gets, jessica is someone who's really humble. she will always praise her members, her new label and talk about how she still needs to work hard  to be a better idol for her fans.this part of her personality does not change the fact that she is super confident about herself. she knows she is talented, intelligent and she loves herself because she is convinced that no one will do it for her. but despite being a nice girl overall, Jessica has an anger problem. this rarely happens since it takes a lot to make her angry, but when she gets angry she becomes totally hysterical. she will screams for hours and be mean for no reason but she's working on that by doing yoga seance.

➥ 1992 — 2006

lee jessica was born the 6 december in london to a modest couple as the second daughter.

her childhood was happy, quiet and when she was seven a new addition joined her family in the form of a little brother. it was also during this period that her love for music was born. at first she used to simply sing to her little brother disney's song or things like that to help him sleep then as she grow up her parents start noticing that her voice was actually good and they convinced her to keep singing. at ten, she joined her school's choir and decided that for sure she was going to follow a path in the music industry. sadly when she was twelve her father got sick for two long years and it's was really hard for jessica as she was really close to her father. she tried her best to keep on going on but she was failling at school and she didn't feel like she deseverd to be "happy" while her father was spending his life at the hospital.during this time she gots into fashion and staring making her own clothes because she didn't want to be a burden to her parents and having them buying things for all the time. she was surprisingly good a creating things and was even doing it for her older sister.

on the night of the 31 december 2005, her father passed away and after a few months her mother decided that it was time to go back to south korea to be with her family and that what they did on summer vacacion of the year 2006.
 

➥ 2006 —  2009 
 

at first life in seoul was really difficult. of course, she was happy to live with her grandfather a charming old man who was a pianist back in his days and she loved the city too much but still she didn't feel at her place. at school, she wasn't really at ease and didn't make a lot of friend since she felt too differnt from them. they were all about studying while she really didn't care and just enjoyed music and clothes. because she still wanted to be a singer and to pass time because her life was totally boring,she  with the help of her sisterstart passing auditions. it took her three label before geting a call from Y.I Entertainment. they liked her voice and by the end of 2007, she was a trainee. In 2009, she officially made her debut with Sowon and even if she kinda wanted to drop school her mother didn't want to let her.
 

➥ 2009 —  2015

to be honnest the life as an idol was not as glamorous as she though it will be. Sowon didn't gain popularity automatically so she kept on going to school and put all her efforts in her second favorite thing in the world : making clothes. she still chosed to stay with the group because she really cared about the girls who were her first friends in korea and it was actually the best choice she made because in 2011, the group gained popularity with their song 'oh'. despite all the thing that happend to the groups she kept on working hard.

➥ 2015 —  2019
the first thing jessica did when she with the girls left Y.I was to open her own online shop to sell the clothes she made. because it was not too expensive it was quickly popular. thanks to sowon's fans, her shop was visited a lot of times and people loved to buy her things. she went on taking business class at université and graduate in 2018 when she opened her first shop in gangnam. now in 2019, she is about to open a second one in another neighboord and she also always working with the group.

mother/ kim minjeong (fc : actress kim hyesoo) /53/banker/ protective — impatient — hard to please/ well, their relation is pretty difficult to follow. they fight a lot about nothing and everything but they take care of each other. to her mother, jessica is still a kid so she's always keeping an eye on her.
sister/ lee jennifer - jooyeon (fc : actress jeon yeo bin)/30/ english teacher/ funny — impulsive — smart / they are pretty close and share everything with each other. jennifer is without a doubt her little sister biggest fan. she is actually living in busan with her husband but they always visit each other.
brother/ lee ryan - rohan (fc :nam da reum) /19/ art student / lazy — joyful — clumsy/ jessica is overprotective of her little brother. he is her baby and even if she's kinda of harsh with him (for his own good) she also spoil him to death.

sisters/ sowon's member /various personalities/ the girls were the first friends jessica ever made in korea. she always feels at ease with them and don't feel like they judge her when she's acting weird or something like that. she likes to think that she's a useful little sister to the older member and a reliable older sistr to the younger ones. she trust them like no one else. of course fights occurs sometimes but it's just like siblings fight about stupid things and they always make up by the end of the day. because they were always here for her when she needed it, jessica feels like it's her duty to always defend her sisters. she won't let anyone talk bad about one of them but of course if she feels like one of the girl is doing something bad she will tell herright away.
 

cool older unnie/ park yujin /29/ back when they were still trainee and even after their debut, jessica and yujin weren't really close because of their different personnality. for jessica, yujin was way too soft to be a really leader and they had some fights because of that. but strangely after yujin left the label and sowon, jessica felt sorry for her. she tried to understand her and because she know that she wasn't the best person with yujin, she took the first step to fix their relationship. yujin helped jessica a lot with how she should behave to not seem rude towards older people and jessica is forever thankful for that. nowadays they meet sometimes for coffee or dinner.

acquaintance/ lee yuri /24/ as someone who was older, jessica treated yuri well. they were even called leesisters by the fans wherever they had interaction but jessica always felt like yuri was scared of her. probably because she knew how crazy jessica gets when she's angry. during the scandal, jessica wanted to be the bigger person and tried to not be too mean to yuri but she also wanted to be loyal to the other girls so of course she didn't like how yuri left. now that they are older jessica like to think that they were all young and stupid so when yuri texted one day asking about the girls and how they were all doing, she did talk to her. they are not close close but jessica doesn't ignore her when she text her.

lovely best friend/ hwang jiwon (fc : kim jiwon) /26/ fashion designer/ creative — sweet — empathetic /jessica meet jiwon in 2015 when she was following business class. the two bonded over their shared love for clothes and started their collaboration for the shop. as crazy as it might sound, the two girls never had a fight because they actually work and understand each other really well. jiwon is someone who isn't scared of communication and she doesn't get angry easily. for jessica, jiwon's friendship is precious because she is kinda the one who remind her that there's a world outside of her life as an idol.

ex boyfriend - first love /eric mun /40/ actor + leader rapper of shinhwa/ responsible — 'manipulator'— clever — ambitious /jessica and eric officially meet in march 2016. easily charmed by his maturity and charisma jessica was directly into him so they began to date four month later. as jessica was only 22 at the time, she was really lovestruck and she was convinced that he was the love of her life. after all the man was really good to her sadly she quickly noticed with the help of her members that he was still in love with his ex girlfriend. he didn't really wanted to introduce jessica to his friends, he didn't want to be seen by people with her even as a friend. she felt like they were more in a situation of casual hook up than a real relationship.
all of these things made jessica almost self-conscious and she eventually decided to break it off. since this day she sweared to never date a celebrety again. when eric got married in 2018 she was invited and she took one of her member as a date.

best adviser ever /go iseul /27/ member of sowon/they are good friends since their training days. their age is close so jessica feels like they understand each other and she doesn't mind sharing her struggle with iseul who actually give her the best advice even when jessica doesn't ask for it. as one of the oldest member, jessica likes to let iseul know that she can relay on her whenever she wants.

precious baby/park hana /24/ member of sowon /back in the day, jessica used to be awkward around hana. both of them are not talkative so they didn't really had anything to say to each other but as time flew they get to know each other. jessica think that hana is definitly the member who is the most like her in a different way which is strange and sometimes that's why they aren't on the same page at all. but as the older one, jessica learned to love hana as she is. for her, hana is like a baby who need protection even though she can handle herself very well on her own.

training is never easy and that's something that jessica knew even before her first day as a trainee. she really had to be extra patient because every lessons was too extreme for her and she was always tired and only thinking about sleeping. also due to the fact that she didn't grow up in korea she didn't understand many things like the fact that the younger girls had to be super polite almost submissive to the older ones and teacher.she got into many fight because of her so called rudeness. sometimes she even felt like some teachers were bullying her because she wasn't polite according to them.
she wanted to give up so many times because of that but she also gained friends so she didn't want to leave and be seen as someone who's weak.
 

➥ idol life
 

the start of her career was a disaster. not only because sowon wasn't popular but also because people used to judge her behavior a lot. they were always assuming that she was rude because sometimes she didn't realy bow well to some sunbae or other things like that. other celebrities didn't seem interested to get to know her because she was cold to absoluty everyone. after the hit "oh" when the girls started to get noticed a lot that's when jessica got to live her best life as an idol. she was meeting new people and slowly people understood that she was only cold because she was at ease with strangers. she was even calling funny thanks to some of her cheeky comments. she still didn't make a lot of friends despite being in the industry for so long but other idols aren't scared of her anymore (except the newest groups).
