TL;DR – Bernie is here for a good time and to make her musical, kpop dreams come true! Maybe promote the YouTube channel. Maybe meet some cute people. Get some of that idol glitz and glamour. Bernie thought this was all a fun game. And then the kpop nation attacked. Now she's stuck all alone in Korea with no family and friends: just a bright disposition and fangirl fantasies to keep her afloat and keep her colour alive.

When Bernie puts her mind to something she is a fearsome sight to behold. Especialy since this isnt something you should ever expect of her. If Bernie ever comes at you with passion and fire, run away. Run because she is going to to do something probably dumb and you're probably going to catch on fire!! Bernie is think first and worry about the outcome later. Why worry about the future right now when you can be enjoying the NOWWWW??? Sometimes this means dealing with some consequences later but Bernie doesn't really think about that too much.
She's young and dumb. Her optimism about the situations around her is almost absurdly unrelenting! If she only got an hour of sleep then Bernie sees it as being so strong physcially and mentally she can handle it! Did she have to practice more because she got the dance wrong? That's all good! It means she gets more praxtice in and will be even better and better!! Bernie would be hard pressed to not see the postive in a situation to the point of almost delusion. This is fine. Everything is FIIIIINE! She is literally that meme with the dog in the burning room. She might be tired and worn out, but she'll make it work! Or might pass out while trying. Whatever comes first. Bernie sees the good in things so readily that she's just naive to the darker side of things. She takes people at face value because people are generally good, right? Right!! Which can get her into trouble.
She has a short attention span and is constantly being told to focus and pay attention. Don't take it personally! Bernie is just an airhead! She'll admit to it too! She is not the fastest on the uptick. It takes her some time to comprehend foreign things. The good thing is, Bernie is so so open about things. If she;s confused, she'll tell you she is! She never denies she's a bit dumb sometimes. "Huh?" or "What?" or even "I wasn't listening. What?" are so common from .
Even if she's a little airheaded and naive, at least Bernie is very friendly. She will see someone she knows and you will feel like the most important person as she runs to you with genuine excitement! She really is happy to see you! Do you need something? Bernie will give it to you if she can! Yes, have her water, she doesn't need it! Bernie really just wants people to get along! You'll know where you stand wtih her as Bernie is so transparent and obvious. Loudly obvious. Volume is not a thing known to Bernie, and if it is, it's broken on nearly the louest setting. You know when Bernie is nearby. She most definitly doesn't have a cunning bone in her body. She'd rather be loud and happy than distrustful and moody. Not that she can't appreciate you being that way! Bernie just can't. Sometimes people think she's obnoxious or rude, but she tries not to be! She really doesn't want to be the person holding others back.
If Bernie has anything working in her favor, its her tenacity. Once Bernie does put her mind to something to focus, she can do great things! She made her travel to Korea happen afterall. She kept going even when her prior dreams were crushed. Benie won't back down from a challnge just because things get hard! Watch out world, Bernie has her ditzy eyes set on something and nothing is going to stop her except for when she trips on her own feet because she didn't think about moving them before running. She has done this before. And it was hilarious. And painful. Bernie will also tell you she doesn't mind you laughing at her!

Bernie has been playing music her whole life. Her parents are both classically trained musicians and even work in the local opera house! She's accomplished in guitar and piano and can even sing! She's been singing with her mother since she can remember! Music is love, music is life! Bernie channels her energy into learning to play music from her favorite animes and videogames. She wants to sing all the OSTs! She never really connected to KPOP until much later in life. She was much more a JPOP girl until her friend shamed her into listening to KPOP with her one day.
Bernie fell in love. Bernie fell in love with all pretty people, hearing the language of her parents so beautifully, the glittering stages and shouting fans: Bernie loved it all so much. All of these beautiful people and to think they're Korean like Bernie! She needed captions and submittles most of the time but it was a good way to practice her basic Korean!
She should be going to Juilliard, she really should! Bernie however does not attend an arts school. Despite how good she is, she is not quite so good as to be noticed nor accepte into the schools she wants. Bernie doesn't succeed in going to Julliard nor does she succeed iin trying for other art programs. Bernie doesn't know why she has failed, but she has and she is deflated for a moment. So! Onto plan B!! Cake decorating. Did she mention she liked decorating cakes in a bakery? She does. It's not musically oriented, but Bernie does enjoy her work. But Bernie does have her own YouTube channel, CallMeBernie, where she posts covers of anime and videogame music and then later included kpop, including playing the music on her instruments and singing! It has a modest following, but Bernie is sure she can gain more eventually to maybe make it her full time work! And if not, cake icing galore!!!

She's sent audition tapes before with no luck. What does surprise everyone is when she passes and is selected to be part of Dream4U. Off to Korea she goes, all alone, with no connections, a dream to chase, and a child's grasp of Korean at best to keep her afloat. Her mother shakes her head and laments not teaching her precocious daughter better Korean.

How long can a foreigner with naive sensibilities survive when the gloss and pretty people begin to wear off? But everything will be okay! These people around her won't steer her wrong! They only want her to succeed!

None whatsoever! Bernie is stiff and unpolished when she performs at first. That can be fixed What she has a lot of problems with is her face She always looks a little o_o. She just doesn't pay the camera enough attention like she should. Her lack of proper idol training or knowledge is so so clear.

Bernie can play piano and guitar like a champ. She has a good ear for music and can often replicate a tune on her keyboard if she listens to it. Aside from that, she does manage her own YouTube channel!
Why wouldn't she audition? Bernie has stars in her eyes backed up by missed opportunities. Why wouldn't Bernadetta Ester Lee want a chance at making her musical dreams come true while surrounded by beautiful people? Bernie would love if a company actually signs her officially. She is willing to do as they tell her since it might mean she can officially be part of the kpop world after the contract ends!
