Hate comments

Hello everyone.

Today I want to talk something I have experienced and maybe others have too.

One day I decided to cross post I will show you on AO3. This story is my most popular onewith 156 subs. When I updated here I got comments and they all were supportive.

The same thing happened when I published the fic on AO3. But one person didn't like the story so they commented something like this- this is tragedy , you should feel ashamed of writing it, it's disrespectful to EXO, you should take it off, plotline horrible, grammar bad. This user wasn't even registered so they took time to search for the story and comment. Twice. 
Gotta admit that it made me feel bad at first until I realised that it was just a hater with no real life.

I thought for a while and decided to make a post about hate comments. I have never got them till now, also haven't noticed ones on other stories here, except on Banghim story which was posted years ago.

 I have never understood the reason of hate comments. Constructive criticism is one thing, it helps to understand strong and weak points and improve. But hate comments... their goal is to make the person feel bad. Those people probably don't feel good about themselves so they take their anger out on others. It might sound cliche but that's what I think.

People on here are actually pretty nice , so it's safe to say that this community is not toxic but there are always some people who want to make others feel bad and spread hate. 
This is my small rant, nit sire where I am going with this. Maybe to make myself feel better as I'm not the only ine who gets hate.

The thing is that stories aren't bad. Authors don't write them to disrespect anyone. Of course there are people to whom shipping and fanfiction is bad but to some it might be a way to relieve stress. People have diffrent interests, diffrent likes so there's diversity. Some can't read OC stories, some find mpreg disgusting. Is that a valid reason to hate? No. You can express your dislike without hate or being disrespectful. End of the story.

Awhh please take care. It might be hard but if possible, ignore the hate comments and focus on building your story with constructive criticism because no matter what, people who act like that exist just to make others confidence drop down. We cant stop them from hating us but we can choose to ignore it. Try your best! Im sure you'll get through it

I don’t understand anyone leaving hate comments on content unless the content itself is hateful (which I haven’t personally encountered any hateful content on the site). If it’s just a genre or ship that someone isn’t interested in, then they just shouldn’t read it, it’s that simple. Someone going out of their way to read something they aren’t interested in just to leave hate comments makes zero sense at all, and they clearly need to grow up. Those are the people to ignore, obviously. Sorry that happened to you, and any of the other content creators that go out of your way to create something. Your hard work is appreciated!

yeah i get this a lot too; hate comments. once in here twice in wattpad. just bcoz i wrote about mental illness and kill off my character tons of time they call me names and insult me. I mean, what's your problem dude? i don't understand people sometimes -.- if u don't like it, don't read. if it's really offensive just talk to us, not bashing for no reason.

Totally agree with you. I recently got a hate comment too, but it was actually quite similar in that the individual actually said that I should be ashamed of myself. I just thought"lol, like hell no."

Oh I came across this because a friend of mine that shared it in their feed. I'm one of these people who had been getting hate comments. They weren't on my stories or at least not on my newest fics. They were simply hate messages from users I don't know lol for some reason.
And to be honest, I can't care less about them because I don't have time and I don't actually care about the things they say. I do believe in myself, my stories, my writing skills, my attitude and everything else. I don't care about what everyone thinks about me or my stories. People online like to judge everyone and that's bad. We need to stop judging people we don't know for God's sake.

Sadly people will be people. Don't let haters get to you, many others said you are doing great, so just keep it up. Haters have no life and they like making others feel unhappy, so don't bother with it. If they don't like it, they shouldn't read, instead, they should get their life in order.

Lucky for now, I haven't had hate comments and knowing me I would still love arguing with them, knocking some sense into those haters or maybe we should turn the other cheek and tried to genuinely help them if their own life to the point of becoming haters like you said. So don't being agressive and trying to understand at least a little them if we can and want.

Of course, if they continue afterward they should be banned.



I hope the authors who had already received those types of comment are okay now and trust themself enough to don't give to much attention to them.
