APPEARANCE. Hyeonmi is 163 cm tall and weighs 42 kg. She has long blonde hair and very manicured hands. She very much cares about her appearance and hates when she looks disheveled. 
STYLE. Hyeonmi is always up on fashion, her closet is almost as big as her bedroom, it becoming a bit of an issue. She loves clothing shopping and trying on new looks. She keeps trying to get Yoomi to bond over clothes but it hasn't worked so far. Her usual look is similar to New York street fashion.

Hyeonmi is the person youl would want to go out with, she always makes anywhere a party. She can liven up any one, most of the time at least. She feeds off other peoples energy, does everything possible to be around large groups of people. Even with her energy and constant go go go attitude she still would be the firstr one to stop and make sure people had what they needed and understood everything, she is not about to leave someone behind. She doesn't judge for anything and she doesn't stand for injustice to others, quite the opposite actually, she gets angry when she sees injustice happening in any form. She has an innate ability to always have energy, even if she hardly slept, hasnt had any coffee and has had a rough day, she will still be her energetic self.
Hyeonmi has always been the person to make the impromptu, wild choices. She was known to have more than a few nights at the bar with strangers and she has been struggling with it reciently. She has a rather bad habbit of not keeping her thoughts to herself and doesnt have much of a filter, another thing she has been struggling with around the kids. She is used to being on her own and only relying on herself for everything, she has been on her own for years so she doesnt know how to need others and she struggles to have others rely on her. She has been known to be a huge flirt, again with her activities with guys from the club. She has tried to keep secrets for her friends but she has always been bad at it. She just wants to tell everyone everything she has learned, she loves having the latest scoop on gossip and read every gossip magazine there is.

BACKGROUND.

phase I

Hyeonmi had a generic childhood. She was an only child of two loving parents who grew up upper middle class. She was top ten in her class and graduated with high marks. She went to Suwon National Univeristy for business and graduated at 24. She promptly moved to New York City, got a nice paying job and a nice apartment. 

phase II

Hyeonmi's two best friends growing up had a fairytail relationship, the kind where everyone knew they were going to get together in the end. They got married during college and had their first child, a boy, before they finished school. Sooyeon dropped out to care for Tohyun and they were suprised less than a year later with Yoomi. Taegung graduated with a business degree as well and the four of them were well off. 
Hyeonmi was automatically the children's godmother, no questions asked. She flew back to Korea so many times during the first few years so the kids knew her well. 

phase III.

Hyeonmi was woken early in the morning by a call from her father. He wouldn't tell her what happened, just that she needed to pack a bag, he got her a plain ticket to Suwon and it takes off in 3 hours, just pack a carry on bag, she needed to be quick. When she landed her parents were waiting and they told her. Sooyeon, Taegung and Yoomi were in a car accident, Sooyeon was killed on impact and Taegung and Yoomi were in criticle condition. Hyeonmi rushed to the hospital and by the time she got there Taegung  had passed. She sat herself next to Yoomi and refused to leave. Tohyun stopped by a few times but he never stayed long. 
Nine days later Yoomi woke up but she wouldn't speak. It took another week before Yoomi was able to go home with Hyeonmi but she wouldn't go into the apartment. Hyeonmi took Yoomi and Tohyun to her parents house until she could figure things out. 

phase IV.

The day before the funeral Hyeonmi was able to fill out all the paperwork to adopt the kids. She found a new apartment, four bedroom and sent for all her things from New York. She bought a new car, moved the kids things and tried to start a new life. 
She knew raising two kids was going to be hard but she didn't expect it to be this hard. 
Yoomi wouldn't hardly do anything. She would sit in the courner at daycare, hardly eat any food and she didnt even look at people when they spoke to her. 
Tohyun was angry. He was upset his parents were gone and, while he wouldn't tell anyone, he was angry they left without him. He wouldn't let anyone near Yoomi and protected her with everything he had. He was angry with Hyeonmi because she wasn't mom and she was trying to replace her. 

phase V.

After work one day Hyeonmi was stopped by a coworker who knew about a sort of support group for single parents. They didnt know if it would be right for her but she might as well try.

1. hello! please introduce yourself and say a few fun facts about yourself. Hello, I'm U Hyeonmi, some people call me Honey. I'm from New York City but moved back here for the kids.

2. how many children do you have? what are their names? is there anything you want to say about them? Um, Tohyun is 6. Hes a sweet but a bit angry. He is so kind though, he wants only the best for his sister. Yoomi is 4, she was in the car with her parents when they crashed. I've been trying but nothing seems to get through to her

3. how old were you when you became a single parent? 29, it was only a few months ago, I've not even had them for a while

4. at what point did you really realize you would have to take all the sole responsibilty of your child/children from now on? After the funeral, when I had to watch my best friends get buried together. I had Yoomi in my arms and Tohyun was standing next to me, little fists balled and big tears rolling down his face. 

5. personally, what do you think is the hardest thing about being a single parent? I don't know how to explain to them what happened, why their parents left them or how their going to end up being ok. 
Well that or its really hard to have personal time, like with a guy kind of personal time

6. what is one thing you want to tell people who have single parents or are a single parent themselves? You didn't pick this, which ever parent itsn't around it's not because of something you did. You are going to grow up great, it will hurt but you don't need that parent.

Tohyun asks Zhihao to adopt him so he can go live with Zhihao but the older obviously says no so Tohyun goes home crying about it and Hyeonmi thinks something happened so she goes in a flying rage against Zhihao, who has to try to explain himself to a screaming mad woman hell bent on killing him.
