So there's been something that's been happening for awhile now and I feel kinda helpless on what to do about it so after some discussion with a friend, I've decided to actually say something about it because I'm very tired of typing the same thing whenever I reply.

This post contains SPOILERS for my story BITE, if you haven't read it and are planning to read it then I would maybe put off reading this? Or if you don't know what story it is or if you could care less about SPOILERS then be my guest. I just wanna get this off my chest because it's truly been bothering me for awhile now.

This started happening the moment I posted Chapter 12, titled 'Skin to Skin'.

In this chapter it's revealed that Jongin is an omega. His second gender has awakened and he's indeed an omega. 

Now, do I feel the need to explain why he's an omega? Not really, I don't think there needs to be an explanation on a choice I as the writer decided to make. Not gonna lie I just wanted KaiSoo to have a different dynamic then the other pairing in the story ChanBaek and it just so happened to work out that way. 

The issue that has been happening is basically, well. Majority of the comments on this chapter and about this chapter have been negative reactions to Jongin being an omega. Of course, of absolute course I do not mind or dislike that people have different preferences than me. If you like to read only alpha Jongin then good for you, I don't care that you do. Like what you like, I don't really care. 

I was honestly expecting it, I and many others are well aware that Jongin had a type stuck on him since the beginning of fandom that he was always a top and he's always an alpha. 

What I feel kind of uncomfortable about, is how many people expected him to be one? 

Throughout my story, since I started writing it, Jongin has shown absolutely no traits of being an alpha. 

Absolutely none. 

Which is why I'm even addressing this. I never wrote his character in an attempt to possibly mislead you all into thinking he was an alpha then BAM surprise! He's an omega. No... I wrote his character with the full intention of you guys being able to see that he was going to be either a beta or an omega. It was that set up that made his relationship with his father more strained. It would make you worry for him because as much as his father wants him to be an alpha, it is very clear that he will not be. 

When it comes to ChanBaek's relationship and why I said I wanted a different dynamic, well Chanyeol is an alpha. Chanyeol and Jongin's characters are both clear in the way that they're completely different. Chanyeol is more like Jongin's father and is favoured even, while Jongin is always at odds with his father and he shies away at confrontation of any sort.

With Chanyeol being a clear indication of an alpha, I thought people would be able to see further that Jongin was not one?

Enough about that because I'm upset that I even have to explain this when it should've been clear when you were reading the story.

Another thing I want to address. The comments that express utter disappointment that Jongin is a bottom in this story.

First of all, I never said he was going to be a bottom? ??? I don't know where these thoughts came from?

I can understand that maybe you thought he was going to be one because he's an omega, however, he doesn't have an alpha? His partner is a vampire.

A vampire that, in my story, does not have any kind of A/B/O trope on his forehead. 

Kyungsoo is a vampire. A vampire. I would like to reiterate that. He is not an alpha by any means. 

It makes their dynamic a little different. I have never written the vampires in my story with any alpha, beta, omega traits in my head because well, that wouldn't work now would it? They don't fit in those boxes, they're of another species.

Therefore, if our dearest vampirexomega duo want to switch up how they want to have (which I was going to do, I love writing versatile pairings) then they will. This goes for our other alphaxvampire duo as well. Because either way they're wolfxvampire.

I thought this would be clear when I wrote the story but I guess it wasn't, though some people have been telling me they knew he wasn't going to be an alpha and some people have been quite enjoying omega Jongin. Anyways, each to their own. I completely respect everyone's preferences and opinions.

I just want you to know that I did not trick you. I did not pull you into my story with a vague promise of top Jongin/alpha Jongin. I didn't do that. If you somehow missed that while reading then well, I can't really do anything about that. 

I'm sorry if I came off as rude or just overall y or sassy in this message, honestly speaking I'm very tired of this. And it just keeps happening. I don't know what to do. I don't want to take away people's abilities to comment or express their thoughts but I just really wish it wouldn't be so... like you haven't read anything before the reveal of his second gender.
