2005 :: began hip-hop dance classes at her parents' dance studio and quickly fell in love with it. the legwork and footwork from her swing lessons carried over well.
2009 :: after winning a group dance hiphop competition, she was scouted by compass entertainment. her parents were very hesitant at first since she was only 14 at the time and would have to balance school, but jiyoung really wanted to do it. her parents only agreed after jieun threatened to never talk to them again if they didn't let jiyoung become a trainee. it laster for a week and a half.
after jiyoung began to distance herself from yoonhee, the girl confronted her. this lead jiyoung to pour out her feelings to yoonhee and confess. to her immense surprise, yoonhee felt the same way that she did. they kissed and began to date in the summer of 2011
march 14th, 2012 :: jiyoung's father died in a car accident on the outskirts of Seoul. hit and run at an intersection. a driver had ran the red light, hitting her father who wasn't wearing a seatbelt.
she was devastated and asked compass entertainment for contract termination to take care of her family. the company agreed, seeing that she wouldn't be of much use to them if she was depressed. jiyoung's mother was a total mess and laid in bed for days on end. she quit her job at the dance studio, too bereft to really enjoy teaching swing dance without her proper partner. instead she worked as a dishwasher at a nearby restaurant.
due to less income coming in, jiyoung picked up a job at the dance studio teaching youth hiphop. she also worked at the convenience store next door and occasionally did deliveries for the chicken place across the street. sometimes she made deliveries to trainees at different entertainment companies and it always filled her heart with sorrow and a longing feeling. the work on top of school and taking care of her family meant she had no time for yoonhee. the two decided to part amicably and keep in touch with each other.
2014 :: jiyoung had graduated school and began to work even more. she was burning herself out, focusing on work instead on her grief and what-ifs. her mother finally had enough and sat her down. the two of them had a deep heart-to-heart conversation and jiyoung finally let out all the grief she'd been holding in. it took a lot of convincing, but jiyoung's mother convinced her to go back to being a trainee. her mother began teaching at the dance studio again, meaning jiyoung didn't have to work so hard anymore. money would be tight, but they would be okay.
with her mother's blessing, jiyoung went back to compass entertainment. she had to audition again, but it was mostly just a formality. jiyoung had been one of the best trainees back in 2012 before she'd left. they accepted her with open arms and brought her back into the fold. yoonhee was still a trainee there and she and jiyoung did try to pick up their relationship again, but it just wasn't the same. they decided they were better off as just friends
:: lgbtq+ // as part of the community herself, she makes her support known in subtle ways. enough to let the fans knows that she supports them, but not enough so that she outs herself. she likes to wear things with rainbows on them and safety pin earrings. at her mom's place, she has a pride flag on the wall. when asked about her ideal type, she makes sure not to specify a gender. it's speculated by fans that she's part of the community, but they know that at least she's an ally.
If boram is the mom of the group, then jiyoung is the dad of the group. these two are the unofficial parent line. they're quite similar in their protective natures and roles within the group, but balance each other out in the rest of their personality. jiyoung helps boram manage her mood swings and balances those moods. boram helps jiyoung unload a lot of her feelings and gives her a listening ear.
lowkey, jiyoung is falling for boram. she knows she is and is desperately trying to stop herself because she doesn't want to ruin the group dynamic. jiyoung just loves how thoughtful she is and her tattoos and the fact that she's one of the only people who can drink her under the table. jiyoung just loves her a lot and really hopes that boram won't catch on.
the best sister-sister duo. they will always have each other's backs no matter what is going on in their lives. they were close before, but after their father's death they became even closer. jiyoung will drop whatever she's doing the minute jieun calls and says she needs help. she's always made jieun a priority since she was young. jieun has made eon/poise fan accounts and claps back at any haters on her sns. sometimes jieun uses slang that just goes way over jiyoung's head
yoonhee was jiyoung's first love. they first met as trainees at compass entertainment and bonded over their love of dancing. they would spend hours in the practice rooms, goofing around and dancing, and go out to eat together. lots of dates. they could even hold hands sometimes since girls holding hands is hardly glanced at. yay female friendship.
dance twin- twice momo :: a common criticism of jiyoung is that her dancing is messy, but it only looks like this because of her long limbs. some netizens say she doesn't deserve the main dancer position because of this point. jiyoung actually has a tendency to under dance because of this.
jiyoung was one of the first trainees at compass entertainment and it was mostly boys, with few girls. the girls they did have really banned together and became a nice squad. jiyoung also made friends with many of the trainees who would later debut as blitz and sphere. there wasn't a lot of competition since the group of trainees was pretty small.
surprisingly, jiyoung actually really enjoyed trainee life and adapted well. it was exhausting for sure with being criticized by trainers, working for hours on end, and diets on top of all her school work and family duties. her parents and younger sister were wholly supportive and helped her in any way they could. jiyoung was friendly with all the trainees and she felt like they were a second family. it was lush.
when compass entertainment began to mistreat them, jiyoung was in denial. she had hope that they would treat them better and stop pushing them away from the spotlight. she would always tell the girls to keep their head up and to continue practicing and training. she was very focused on keeping the girls together and motivated. jiyoung was the last of the girls to be convinced to leave compass entertainment since she was one of the first there and she felt such a sense on loyalty towards them. it took a lot of convincing on the part of the other girls.
jiyoung loves the girls like they're family. she's older than (almost) all the members, in some cases they're younger than her sister. jiyoung treats them differently to her sister though- jiyoung babies jieun, but is stricter towards the members. she's a big driving and motivating force for the girls. jiyoung is the first person to get off the floor and push the girls. she's perceptive though and knows when too much is too much. she's a good rock for the girls and is easy to go to when they need to talk or a shoulder to cry on. jiyoung typically waits for them to come to her though.
she was a diehard compass girl since they were the ones to see her idol potential, treating her incredibly well and being understanding when it came to her personal life. once jiyoung debuts with eon, her perception changes. even from the get go, she sees how differently her group is treated from blitz and sphere. jiyoung writes it off though because they're the better investment- the average boy group typically does better than the average girl group. the other members of eon eventually convince jiyoung that compass entertainment doesn't have their best interest at heart. she was the last one to come around to leaving compass. once she sees how much the situation is affecting the other girls, it's the last straw.
jiyoung wasn't all that skeptical when fortune entertainment approached them. eon was popular before compass' mishandling, so it wasn't super surprising. jiyoung was ready to just go back to teaching at the studio, but was ecstatic when she was given another shot. she was also just happy that the girls wouldn't be separated and go to different companies.
she does feel some guilt for leaving compass entertainment. she knows that they mistreated her and her girls, but she feels like she abandoned the other trainees and groups there. jiyoung feels like she's spitting in the face of the company that supported her for so many years. jiyoung won't vocalise these thoughts or feelings because she knows that the other girls would totally disagree.

poise's lindy opens up about her first love. could she possibly be gay?
10.26.2020
yesterday on the popular radio show, yoon's corner (yoonhee's radio show), poise on promoted their lastest comeback 'oh my god'. poise on is a sub-unit of the popular girl group poise made up of four of the groups members. their concept is much more sultry and mature than their usual style.
after performing their new song on the show, the four members lindy, boram, minerva, and fama were asked about the song's meaning. boram, the main producer of the group, explained how the song came to be and what inspired the lyrics. this lead on to a discussion of the girls' first loves, in which poise's leader had a lot to say.
"ahh. i had my first love when i was still a trainee. we spent a lot of time together, practicing our dancing and vocals. we really supported each other with our dreams and they really helped me through a dark time."
many fans have speculated that this dark time was after the death of lindy's father. a weird look passed between yoon and lindy as the poise leader continued. fans noted that she seemed nervous.
"i loved them a lot back then and they still mean so much to me. i really appreciate all of the beautiful memories they gave me. i hope they feel the same."
fans of lindy and poise noticed that she didn't specify a gender. rumours and speculation of lindy's uality have been floating around since she came out as an lgbt ally. whenever asked about her ideal type, lindy's answers are gender neutral and don't point directly towards men. could poise's lindy be gay? do the other members know?

:: blows up after this. rumours start flying all over the place and it's a lot. jiyoung is worried because she doesn't want eon 2.0 and for the group to go on permanent hiatus. she takes this opportunity to come out of the closet to her members who don't all know. (the rest is up to you as for company and public response)
