style for her, comfortable comes first. that's why her outfit choice often lands on jumpsuits. she never wear clothes that show off some skin and rarely wear heels. fashionable outfits never slipped on her middle name.

fred fuentas is so quiet and emotionless, you would think she lives nothing but the average life. yes it is the reality. but she isn't just a mere loner. ever since she was a child, she was known as a kid prodigy. she excells in every subjects but unless you're in the same class with her or her teacher, you'll never know. she hates getting attention from people so she keep her genius brain low from radar. now as she entering her teenage life, she feel like she already lost some of her youth fun. she won't let the high school's fun lost either. will she be able to do that? will people be friend with someone boring like her?

ENTRY 01

fred is an inconspicuous student, and while her grades are above average, she possesses an extreme insight to study the emotions of people around her. she is well-versed with history as she has quoted many historical figures who are all well known for their intelligence. she tends to come up with imaginative plans.

she is terrible at communicating with people and fails at correctly associating with them. as a result, she speaks in a very monotonous way and tends to isolate herself from her peers, not getting involved with social activities. these traits tend to leave the impression on others that she is cunning, uncaring, breezy, and carefree, while also hinting at aloofness, latency, or generally a sense of apathy towards anything besides issues that specifically concern her.

however, this isn't always the case; she is actually capable of holding conversations, though in a toneless way. she also appears to keep her word.

fred has voiced intentions of making friends, but her emotionless attitude tends to leave her exempted from such matters. however, to those she has formed associations with, it seems to leave an impact on them. she also has some caring side though it may not shown often. she would always anyone in needs no matter she's close to them or not.

looking at how she could skipped a grade, she, of course, is someone who can think of things quickly. fred can think fast. she has fast reflexes and can think of an answer to her problem in a blink of an eye. she feels as though being smart isn't only for nerds but for everyone.

you can never win a fight with fred even if you're in the correct side. she would never listen to your words but worry not, she won't use curse or say something mean because she doesn't want to hurt your feeling.

she's always hurthing herself. for unknown reason she's always finding new cuts and bruises on herself. it's like magic. one will heal and another will appear.

ENTRY 02

background

almost everything about her life before the entrance exams is unknown by all the summit high's student. but here lemme give you a short information.

her mother died when she gave birth to her, so it's only her and her father since the beginning. her father is an academist, an NYU's lecturer. you can say he's a very strict person. he barely lets his daughter having fun. his daughter has to be excell in her class.

upon this, fred appeared to have maintained her stoic expression even as a child, as she showed no emotion at all. there was also a time when her father had approached and told her that "those who don't reveal their intelligence are useless." from her time there, fred underwent various course. her father even thaught her things that should be learnt by those who one grade above. no wonder, she managed to skip a grade when she was in middle school.

two years ago, her father accepted an offering for tolstone uni education faculty's dean position. so he moved there along with his beloved daughter. alfreda was still the old emotionless fred. but now as she entering her teenage years and met some new friends, she determined to change. yes, she still enjoying and prioritizing her study. but she won't say no to hang out offering.

GRADE 11th

SCHEDULE fred always wake up at 5:30 a.m. before she make her breakfast, she will jogging around her apartment complex. after exercise, she will cooked breakfast and a packed lunch for herself and her father. school started from 7.30 to 3.00. her father would be the one who take her there on 7. before the class start, she usually use the chance to read books.

during recess, she'll grab a lunch she made by herself either alone or with some of the students who consider her as friend. still eventhough she is a very emotionless person, some people thinks she's good enough as a company for short chats.

after school, as she's not joining any club nor having tutor session, she always goes to library, either reading some novels, studying, or working on homeworks there for an hour. if her father too busy with his job, then she'll take an extra hour or two. soon after she arrived home, she would shower and make some dinner for herself and her father. per usual, the dinner goes flat. her father would ask how'd she doing at school, her grades, and other boring things. once the dinner finished, she goes to bed. fred isn't a night owl.

during weekend, she will lay on her bed, watching movies. sometimes she will read a novel while listening to music. she also spend her time studying and go to bookstore.

SCHOOL fred views school as a routine. something she had to attend everyday or her father would mad. she doesn't have any school spirit nor feeling forced, tbh. yes she has few friends but still it's not enough to encourage her going to school with a wide smile on her pretty face. she loves studying, that way she never feel forced. again, it's a routine. something she had to do.

summer kang and fred get along fairly well, as classmates. eventhough summer is older, the way fred behave is way more mature than her. summer often keep a seat next to her in cafetaria for fred so that they can sit together. not only that, she will drag fred along into the conversation she has with her peers. fred doesn't know if it's because the older pity her being an aloof individual, but she's thankful nonetheless. they don't have much in common beyond their love for journal writing but for fred, it's really nice to know her.

leo 'hyunjoon' heo was the first person that fred interacted with entering the school. they formally talk to each other when he inquired as to why she was looking at him as she stated she saw a similarity between them. after a few days, the two appeared to get along well since they were both loners who barely associate with their classmates (lucky enough or it was a fate? they always get into the same class for the last two years). they appeared to be quite close as when he noticed her about to be scolded by her father in front of the whole school just because she got one A-, he quickly intervened on her behalf and demanded her to be let go. after that, they became even closer since fred offers herself to help leo with his study as a repay for him stand up for her.

ENTRY 03

hello, thank you for agreeing to meet me for an interview! i'm allie jeong from newspaper, and if you don't mind, please state your grade and name. "fred, eleventh grade," she answered straight to the point.

great! now, my story this issue will be about stress levels at summit high. would you say that you are stressed regularly because of schoolwork? "stressed? is there anyone get stressed because of that?" she blurts out before laughing nervously. "ah, sorry. for me, no. i enjoy all the assignments i get. and... i say this honestly."

about how many hours a week do you spend studying on average? "i usually spend minimum an hour to studying per day and about 6 hours during weekend. so it's around... nineteen?"

what other factors in your life other than school gives you stress? how she wish she could answer her father is the one who always giving her stress. "nothing." she finally says as she waves her hand.

do you have a message towards the faculty at summit high about students and stress levels? "nope. they did well and... since i don't have any stress.. how could i say?" she shrugs.
